I am the Vine, You Are The Natsariym (Branches)

I am the Vine, You Are The Natsariym (Branches)

YAHUCHANON (JOHN) 15:5 YAHUSHA said “He was the vine and we are the Natsariym (Branches)”

To help you to understand the Scriptural application regarding Grafting let us use the Citrus Trees to make it a simple illustration so it will easily be understood.

Grafting verb [ trans. ] 1 Horticulture insert (a scion) as a graft : it was common to graft different varieties onto a single tree trunk.

• insert a graft on (a stock).

Let’s say we have an Orange Tree and we strip it of all its Orange Branches. What we can do now is Graft in, the trunk of that Orange Tree, a Grapefruit branch, a Lemon branch, a Lime branch and a Tangerine branch. With all these different Citrus branches grafted in the Orange Tree, what kind of fruit do you think they will bare?

Well one thing they will not bare is Oranges. For each Branch will produce of its own the fruit of its origin. Even though each is getting its life’s flow from the Orange Tree they can only produce of it’s kind. The Grapefruit branch can only produce Grapefruit. Same as the Lemon, Lime and Tangerine.

However, if that Orange Tree ever produces a Branch of It’s Own Or It’s Own Original Branch Grafted Back In …What Fruit will it bare? What Fruit will it bare do you think? Yes Oranges. It can not produce another Grapefruit, Lemon and so on even if it is giving life to the other branches. The Original Root, Trunk and Branch will produce Only Oranges.

I said all that to say this.

As taught in John 15:5 YAHUSHA said “He was the vine and we are the Natsariym (Branches)”

What I see in this picture is, that so many religious denominations, religious organizations and even religious independent fellowships have failed to produce the Life of YAHUSHA on this earth. Though they are connected to The Source they still fail to Produces what the Original Tree and Root is….. They can only produce more of their own particular brand of Religiosity …

All they have been able to do at best is produce more of what they are of their own kind….

Even though they are receiving their spiritual life’s blood from The Vine.

But look at this….

When The Vine itself produces more Natsariym (Branches) of Its own what do you think It will produce? Maybe a people much like Himself?

What Fruit do you think they will produce in this land?

Perhaps The Fruit of the Set-Apart Spirit. A bunch of Scripture/Torah believing YAHUSHA Followers called Natsariym You Think?

————————

I AM the Vine of Truth, and my Father is the Husbandman.

Every branch in me that bears not fruit he takes away: and every branch that bears fruit, he purges it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

I am the Vine, ye are the NATSARIYM: He that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

YAHUCHANON (JOHN) 15:1-5

Who Are The Natsariym?

We are the (Branches) Watchmen, The Natsariym, as spoken of by the Prophets (Old Testament) and in the Brit Hadasaha (New Testament).  The first followers of YAHUSHA were known of as a sect called the Natsariym (Nazarene).  They were not accepted by the teachers of Judaism nor the early Christian church.

1 Peter 4:16: But if one suffers being Natsariym, let him not be ashamed, but let him esteem YAHUAH ELOHIYM in this matter.

If anything I guess it would be something like The Natsariym were known to follow The Way and were easily identified due to their use of the Name.  The name of our Elohiym was outlawed and not to be used by those practicing Judaism.   The Natsariym used His name regularly as did YAHUSHA. They also did not teach the traditions of Judaism, referred to as the traditions of men. For these reasons the religious leaders of the Jews had YAHUSHA put to death on the Tree. Little did they know this was all to fulfill prophecy.

The Natsariym follow the Torah of YAHUAH and accept the salvation granted by the sacrifice of YAHUSHA.  The Torah of YAHUAH did not pass way with the death of YAHUSHA.  The Torah is eternal and was followed perfectly by YAHUSHA; making the him the perfect sinless sacrifice for us.  Now the Natsariym are coming forward again to guard The Way of YAHUAH and His son YAHUSHA HA’MASHIACH.

Revelation 12:17: And the dragon was enraged with the woman and he went to fight with the remnant of her seed, those guarding the commands of ELOHIYM and possessing the witness of YAHUSHA HA’MASHIACH (The Natsariym).

Who Is YAHUAH’s Flock?

Who Is YAHUAH’s Flock?

YAHUCHANON (JOHN) 10:14-19

I am the Good Shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.(1)

As the Father knows me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one Shepherd.(2)

Therefore does my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.(3)

No man takes it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.(4)

There was a division therefore again among the Yahudiym for these sayings.(5)

YAHUCHANON (JOHN) 10:14-19

Foot Notes:

(1) Ezekiel 34:11-31 is where YAHUAH Himself promises to come to earth to look for and find His lost sheep. The speech here is used to alert anyone familiar with Scripture that YAHUSHA Himself is the one who has come to look for and return Yisrael’s wandering exiles back to the fold.

(2) A plain reference to the other fold, or flock of Yisrael, Ephrayim-Yisrael, that YAHUSHA says He must bring in by command of the Father. Note that even before He died and rose, He had two existing Yisraelite flocks, not one. Through His mission as the Good Shepherd, both folds will become one.

(3) The Father loves YAHUSHA, because He is faithful to His primary mission of taking two Yisraelite folds, and making them one Yisrael, knowing YAHUAH.

(4) The mission to die for both houses is called a commandment by YAHUSHA.

(5) The truth about the true purpose of YAHUSHA’s death, which is to restore and regather both houses of Yisrael, brings sharp division among the Yahudiym (Jewish) community. It seems like whenever Yahudha (Judah) hears of YAHUAH’s love for both houses as in Luke 15, it brings out the worst in them. The message of the true kingdom always brings division, and those who teach the truth will always be labeled as divisive. Yet it is that message alone that heals and ends vexation and jealousy.

——————

Yahucanon (John) 10:14-16 – YAHUSHA is the good shepherd (Ezek. 34:12) and said “Other sheep I have which are not of this fold.” (He is speaking to the Yahudiym (Jews) referring to Ephrayim Yisrael “, them also must I bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there will be one fold and one shepherd”. (See also Ezek. 37:24 – The two sticks of Yisrael prophecy).

John 11:51-52 – Caiaphas the high priest prophesied that YAHUSHA should die for that nation (Yahudiym/Jews) and not for that nation (tribe) only, but that “ he should gather together in one the children of YAHUAH that were scattered abroad. ”

This ought to make chills run up your spine.

49 This is speaking of Ephrayim Yisrael which were scattered in 721 BCE.

Yahudah (Judah) was back in their land when this prophecy was made, so it can’t be referring to them. This also proves that the 10 tribes didn’t return during Hezekiah’s reign and during the Josiah revival as some try to allege.

Only Yahudah (Judah) returned from Babylon as a nation. There were a few from the other 10 tribes, but not on a national basis.

There was an innumerable host of Yashar’eliym (Israelites) that were still in exile according to Josephus during YAHUSHA’s ministry.

These are the lost sheep of the house of Yisrae) (Matt 10:6, 15:24).

Acts 2:36, 39 – Spoken to all the house of Yisrael and in verse 39, it says “For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as YAHUAH our ELOHIYM shall call.” Again, Ephrayim is described in many verses as being “afar off.”

Acts 26:6-7 – Paul refers to the promise of YAHUAH to their fathers; unto which promise our 12 tribes……hope to come.

Again, this proves Paul was expecting the restoration of the kingdom to Yisrael in which all 12 tribes hope to come.

Paul spoke a lot about the return of the Lo-Ami (not a people). He referred to them as gentiles. If you trace the migrations of the Celts and Scythians, you’ll see that Paul went to them first, as the lost sheep of the House of Yisrael.

Rom. 10:11 – …salvation is come unto the Yavaniy (gentiles), for to provoke the Yahudiy (Jews) to jealousy.

These Yavaniy (gentiles) are the Lo-Ami of Rom. 10:19.

Rom. 11:17-28 – This is where Paul is calling the Yavaniy (gentiles) a “wild olive tree” that are grafted into the natural olive tree. All must be grafted into the tree of Yisrael for salvation is of the Yahudiy (Jews) (the natural tree and the Messiah). This is the two stick prophecy where they are both grafted into one tree.

It is called a mystery in verse 25, that blindness in part is happened to Yashar’el (Israel) (Yahudah/Judah and Ephrayim), until the fullness of the gentiles be come in.

This is the Melo HaGoyim of Genesis 48:19. This was spoken to Joseph by Jacob concerning Ephrayim.

And so ALL Yisrael shall be saved: (v.26). Salvation will come to all 12 tribes, to the elect – those who accept YAHUSHA.

They are all grafted into the natural olive tree Yisrael. Those Yahudiym (Jews) who reject YAHUSHA will be broken off the tree and the Yavaniy (gentiles) who reject him will not be grafted in.

All Yashar’el (Israel) is not Yisrael.

The blindness is upon both houses of Yashar’el (Israel) at present. Yahudah (Judah) rejects the Messiah and Ephrayim rejects the Torah.

Each one needs both to be complete in one.

The Corinthians were most likely Ephrayimites:

Paul admonishes them to keep the Feast in I Cor. 5:8 and also says he would not that they be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed though the sea (I Cor. 10:1-2).

Did you ever wonder that if the law is done away, why did Paul keep the Feasts and tell the Corinthians to do likewise?

The Galatians were also most likely Yisrael in Exile, in fact, the word for exile in Hebrew is “galut”(GLT).

This is the same root as the name Galatia or Galut-yah, (Galatiym) which means “exiles of YAHUAH.”

Hebrews 8:8 – This is speaking about changes in the priesthood. The important thing I want to show here is that it is with the house of Yisrael and with the house of Yahudah (Judah). The renewed covenant is only made with the House of Yisrael and the House of Yahudah (Judah), no one else.

However, one becomes Yisrael by belief in YAHUSHA and is grafted into the Olive tree of Yisrael.

Hebrews 12:23 – “To the general assembly and the assembly of the firstborn…”. You can interpret this two ways. You could say it is the assembly of YAHUSHA, as the firstborn from the dead, or it could refer to Yisrael.

Yisrael is called by YAHUAH, His eternal firstborn. Exo. 4:22. Ephrayim is also called YAHUAH’s firstborn in Jer. 31: 9.

James 1:1 – The Book of James is written to the 12 tribes which are scattered abroad. The real name of James is Ya’qov (Jacob).

It was called James in honor of King James who sponsored the KJV translation.

The above, again proves the twelve tribes were scattered at the time of the writing of the book of Ya’aqov (James) and had not been gathered at this time, as some claim.

Many of the Yahudiym (Jews) remained in Babylon and did not return, so were also included in those scattered abroad. Reference to these is found also in I Pet. 5:13.

The second epistle of Yahucanon (John) was written to the Northern Kingdom in exile as she is called the elect lady in 2 John 1:1.

And in verse 13 it says, “The children of thy elect sister greet thee. The Northern Kingdom’s sister is Yahudah(Judah). They are called sisters in Ezek. 23:4.

Rev. 7:4-8 – This is a list of those tribes in which the 144,000 are sealed of all the tribes of the children of Yisrael. I had some preacher tell me that since Ephrayim is not mentioned here, he is excluded from salvation.

I told him his ignorance was showing, because this list includes the tribe of Manasseh and the tribe of Yoceph (Joseph).

Yoceph (Joseph) had two sons that had tribes named for them. They were Manasseh and Ephrayim. Who did he think was being referred to as the tribe of Yoceph (Joseph)?

It can only be Ephrayim since Manasseh was already mentioned.

Rev. 21:12 – The holy Jerusalem has 12 gates on which the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Yisrael are written.

Proves YAHUAH has not discarded the 10 tribes of Ephrayim Yisrael.

Some teach too that the church has replaced Yisrael.

Is there a “church” gate named here anywhere?

There are more references to the 10 tribes in exile in the New Testament that I haven’t listed above. The apostles and early assembly understood there was to be a future reunification of the kingdom and assumed those to whom they wrote the epistles understood this also.

This basic understanding of the early assembly was such that nothing needed to be said about the Law being eternal or swine’s flesh still being unclean and never considered to be food. They all knew it.

Peter recognized that Paul’s words were not always understood and were being twisted, to the destruction of those unstable individuals.

2 Peter 3:15 And account that the longsuffering of our Master is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; 16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

When I became aware of the Two House Restoration, my understanding of prophecy blossomed. The Scriptures suddenly just opened up and became understandable.

I feel I have been blessed with this knowledge of what is to transpire and who we are in YAHUSHA and what is in our future.

I don’t believe a person can fully understand the New Testament without a good grasp of the Old Testament.

The Old Testament was all the early assembly had until letters began to be written to the various assemblies. These letters usually referred to some doctrine found in the Old Testament and explained it either as having its fulfillment in the ministry of YAHUSHA or their future applications.

Paul’s audience was mostly Yahudiym (Jews) who were familiar with Torah and the prophets. They knew what Paul meant when he was talking about the law. Paul didn’t have to go into detail and explain the basic tenets of the law and what part of the law he was making reference to (Sacrificial law, moral law, etc.).

Is it possible, that mainstream Christianity has been mistaken regarding the abolishing of the law?

Undoubtedly!

After all, we see in Rev. 12:17; 14:12 and 22:14 that the Saints of YAHUAH are those who have the testimony of YAHUSHA AND keep the Commandments of YAHUAH.

They need to come back to Torah, keep the Ten Commandments (all ten of them), the Sabbaths and Feasts.

They need to dump their substitute “holy” days that were derived from pagan sources. (Xmas, Easter, Halloween, etc.).

Turn back from fables and doctrines of demons and men to the pure word of YAHUAH.

Develop a love for the truth and you will be blessed by it. Our Father will then reward you by keeping you from the strong delusion that is come upon all the earth (2 Thess. 2:10-12).

Valentine’s Day by the numbers, are you sitting down?

Valentine’s Day by the numbers, are you sitting down?

By Melissa Breyer (@MelissaBreyer)

66 million: The total number of hungry school-age children across the globe who could be fed for six years for the same amount of money Americans will spend on Valentine’s Day this year.

The holiday once marked by amorous missives and hand-plucked posies has evolved into a day of staggering statistics.

From a darker history, Saint Valentine’s Day emerged as a much sweeter holiday in the Middle Ages and became a popular occasion to celebrate romance. Handmade cards and billets-doux were the currency of love and eventually flowers were introduced into the fray. The 19th century ushered in factory-made cards; 1913 brought us Hallmark Cards of Kansas City, Missouri. And just like that, Valentine’s Day has never been the same.

While retailers and manufacturers of heart-shaped schmaltz surely appreciate our conflation of love and consumerism, it’s hard not feel a bit dirty by the whole shebang. And not dirty in a good way. Not to be a cynic or anything, but we spend a lot of money and create a lot of waste on Valentine’s Day – and that doesn’t feel very lovey. Here’s the breakdown for sweethearts in the United States, according to the National Retail Federation’s Valentine’s Day Consumer Spending Survey.

91: The percentage of people who plan to treat their significant others to something special for the heart-themed day.

58.7: The percentage of people who will purchase gifts for other family members and for children’s classmates and teachers.

One quarter: The number of Valentine’s revelers who will shop online.

13.3: The percentage who will shop at a local or small business to find something special.

$703 million: The amount of money that will be spent on pets

$1.5 billion: The amount that will be spent on gift cards. (Because nothing says “I love you” like, “I have no clue what to get you.”)

$1.7 billion: The amount that will be spent on candy.

$2 billion: The amount that will be spent on clothing

$2.1 billion: The amount that will be spent on flowers.

$3.6 billion: The amount that will be spent on a special night

out.

$4.8 billion: The amount that will be spent on jewelry.

$18.9 billion: The total amount Americans are expected to spend on Valentine’s Day this year.

66 million: The total number of hungry school-age children across the globe who could be fed for six years for the same amount of money Americans will spend on Valentine’s Day this year.

What is the TRUE ORIGIN of Valentine’s Day?

What is the TRUE ORIGIN of Valentine’s Day?

What is the origin of Valentine’s Day customs and symbols?

Does YAHUAH care that we celebrate it?

Though hearts and roses are red, retailers and business owners see the green of MONEY when it comes to celebrating the holiday. Below are some fast facts about the Valentine’s holiday.

The celebrating of Valentine’s Day ranks number one in the United States in chocolate candy sales. Annual spending in 2014 for the holiday was more than 19.6 billion dollars. U.S. consumers spend an average of around $116 on gifts and merchandise.

Teachers receive the most Valentine’s cards, followed by children, mothers, wives, and then sweethearts. Children ages 6 to 10 exchange more than 650 million cards with teachers, classmates, and family members. Additionally, 196 million roses are produced to celebrate the holiday.

How did we get the day?

In 313 A.D., Roman Emperor Constantine the Great legalized Christianity and ended Rome’s persecution of Christians. In 380 A.D., Christianity becomes the OFFICIAL state religion of the Roman Empire. These actions not only enabled the teachings of Christianity to spread unhindered within the empire, it encouraged non-Christians to convert to the once-persecuted religion.

The pagans, however, who adopted Christianity as their religion did not entirely abandon the traditions and practices they held before their “conversion.” One of these traditions brought into the church was the fertility celebration known as the Lupercalia, which eventually became the Valentine’s holiday.

“Yet the vestiges of superstition were not absolutely obliterated, and the festival of the Lupercalia, whose origin had preceded the foundation of Rome, was still celebrated under the reign of Anthemius.”

“After the conversion of the Imperial city (Rome), the Christians still continued, in the month of February, the annual celebration of the Lupercalia . . . ” (The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire by Edward Gibbons, Chapter 36, Part 3)

Twenty-four years after the death of Emperor Anthemius, a “Christianized” form of the festival of Lupercalia was officially adopted by the church as a time to honor Saint Valentine.

“Early Christians were happier with the idea of a holiday (Valentine’s) honoring the saint of romantic causes than with one recognizing a pagan festival. In 496 A.D., Pope Gelasius named February 14 in honor of St. Valentine as the patron saint of lovers. ” (How Valentine’s Day Works, Apr. 1, 2000, retrieved Jan. 11, 2011)

February 14th as the day to honor this “saint” (the Catholic Church currently recognizes at least three different martyred saints named Valentine or Valentinus) stayed on the church’s Calendar of Saints until 1969 A.D. Pope Paul VI removed it from the calendar.

What was the festival of Lupercalia?

The Lupercalia festival was partly in honor of Lupa, the she-wolf who (according to legend) nursed the infant orphans Romulus and Remus. Roman legend states that Romulus and Remus founded the city of Rome in 753 B.C. The pagan festival was also in honor of the Roman god Lupercus who was the god of shepherds. Lupercus was Rome’s equivalent to the Greek god Pan.

The link between the Lupercalia, fertility, and romance in general is evident in the festivities that occurred during the celebrations (Valentine’s Day, History Channel web site, retrieved Jan. 10, 2011).

The Greek historian Plutarch (c. 46 to 120 A.D.) also describes the Lupercalia and its relationship to fertility. The second-century Christian apologist Justin Martyr further links the worship of pagan gods to the Lupercalia when he writes of an image of “the Lycaean god, whom the Greeks call Pan and the Romans Lupercus,” who is nude save for a girdle of goatskin, which stood in the Lupercal, the cave where Romulus and Remus were suckled by a she-wolf.

Valentine’s Symbols

Red Roses

Red roses were the favorite flower of Venus, the Roman goddess of love. Red is also a color that signifies strong feelings.

Cupid

In Roman mythology, Cupid is the god of desire, affection, and erotic love. Cupid today appears shooting his bow to inspire romantic love.

The Heart

It is unclear the origin of the familiar heart shape used for Valentine’s celebration. One possibility involves the now-extinct North African plant silphium. The city-state of Cyrene had a lucrative trade in the plant, which looks just like the heart shape used in modern times.

Does it MATTER?

Does it matter that the church adopted an ancient festival used to worship pagan gods and promote fertility to worship the Elohiym of the Scriptures?

Does YAHUAH really CARE what customs are used to worship and honor Him or whether or not we celebrate the Valentine’s holiday? Notice the following warning YAHUAH gave to ancient Yashar’el (Israel).

“When YAHUAH your Elohiym cuts off from before you the nations which you go to dispossess, and you displace them and dwell in their land, take heed to yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire after their elohiyms, saying, ‘HOW DID THESE NATIONS SERVE THEIR elohiyms? I ALSO WILL DO LIKEWISE.’ “

“You shall NOT worship YAHUAH your Elohiym in that way; for every abomination to YAHUAH which He hates they have done to their elohiyms . . . ” (Deuteronomy 12:29-31)

The warning is to not adopt CUSTOMS used to worship or honor other elohiyms in order to serve and worship the true YAHUAH Elohiym.

The true origin of Valentine’s Day and its symbols are rooted in the worship of false elohiyms. It has no Scriptural basis.

Those who celebrate the holiday and consider themselves believers in the Elohiym of the Scriptures need to take a prayerful look at what they are doing.

HEAR ye את eth-the Word which YAHUAH speaks unto you, O house of Yashar;el: Thus says YAHUAH, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

YIRMEYAHU (JEREMIAH) 10:1-2

St. Valentine’s Day – Christian Custom or Pagan Pageantry?

St. Valentine’s Day — Christian Custom or Pagan Pageantry?

“Will you be my valentine?” That question is asked by millions about this time of year. Why? Is there any religious significance to February 14?

Where did St. Valentine’s Day come from?

You might suppose schoolteachers and educators would know. But do they?

How many of you were ever taught the real origin of Valentine’s Day — were ever told in school exactly why you should observe the custom of exchanging valentines?

Teachers are all too often silent about the origin of the customs they are forced to teach in today’s schools. If they were to speak out, many would lose their jobs!

Today, candy makers unload tons of heart-shaped red boxes for February 14 — St. Valentine’s Day — while millions of the younger set exchange valentines. Florists consider February 14 as one of their best business days. And young lovers pair off — at least for a dance or two — at St. Valentine’s balls.

Why? Where did these customs originate? How did we come to inherit these customs? Isn’t it time we examined why we encourage our children to celebrate St. Valentine’s Day?

A Christian Custom?

Many have assumed that the traditional Valentine’s Day celebrations are all in connection with an early Christian martyr by the name of Valentine.

Nothing could be further from the truth!

Notice what one encyclopedia says about this idea: “St. Valentine’s Day as a lovers’ festival, the choice of a valentine and the modern development of sending valentine cards has no relation to the saint or to any incident in his life” (Encyclopaedia Britannica, article “Valentine, Saint”).

Did you know that centuries before the birth of the Messiah, the pagan Romans celebrated February 15 and the evening of February 14 as an idolatrous and sensuous festival in honor of one called Lupercus, the “hunter of wolves”?

The Romans called the festival the “Lupercalia.” The custom of exchanging valentines and all the other traditions in honor of Lupercus, the deified hero-hunter of Rome, was also linked anciently with the pagan practice of teenagers “going steady.” It usually led to fornication.

Today, the custom of going steady is thought very modern and advanced. It isn’t. It is merely a rebirth of an old custom “handed down from the Roman festival of the Lupercalia, celebrated in the month of February, when names of young women were put into a box and drawn out by men as chance directed.” That’s the admission of the Encyclopedia Americana, article “St. Valentine’s Day.”

The Encyclopaedia Britannica also points out that the custom of exchanging valentines arose from this “name drawing” during the Lupercalia. The “custom was introduced to England by the Romans and continued through the Christian era. In order to adapt the practice to Christianity the church transferred it to the feast of St. Valentine” (article “Greeting Card”) .

When Constantine in A.D. 313 made Christianity an official religion of the Roman Empire, there was some talk in church circles of discarding this pagan free-for-all. But the Roman citizens wouldn’t hear of it! So it was agreed that the holiday would continue as it was, except for the more grossly sensual observances.

It was not until the reign of Pope Gelasius that the holiday became a “Christian” custom. “As far back as 496, Pope Gelasius changed Lupercalia on February 15 to St. Valentine’s Day on February 14” (Lavinia Dobler, Customs and Holidays Around the World, p. 172).

But how did this pagan festival acquire the name of “St. Valentine’s Day”? And why do little children and young people still cut out hearts and send them to “sweethearts” on a day in honor of Lupercus, the hunter of wolves?

Why have we supposed these pagan customs, in honor of a false god, are Christian?

Who Was the Original “St. Valentine”?

Valentine was a common Roman name. Roman parents often gave the name to their children in honor of the famous man who was first called Valentine in antiquity. That famous man was Lupercus, the hunter.

But who was Lupercus — and why should he have also borne the name Valentine among the heathen Romans?

The Romans identified Lupercus with the Greek god Pan (Smith’s Dictionary of Greek and Roman Biography and Mythology, Vol. II, article “Lupercus”). Pan was an Arcadian god of light. As such he was equivalent to the Phoenician sun-god Baal. Baal — mentioned so often in the Hebrew Scriptures — was a title of Nimrod, “the mighty hunter” (Genesis 10:9).

The Persian author Rashid al-Din, in his History of the Franks, mentions that Nimrod extended his hunting expeditions even to Italy. The Apennine mountains of Italy also bore the name the Mountains of Nembrod or Mountains of Nimrod.

The hunter Nimrod pursued wolves in the Apennine mountains of Italy and acquired the title Lupercus, or “wolf hunter.” Valentine’s Day was originally a day set aside by the pagan Romans in his honor!

But why should Nimrod have been called Valentine by the Romans? And why should the celebration of this day have been anciently limited to the city of Rome before Pope Gelasius’ time? What part did the site of ancient Rome play in the life of Nimrod?

Valentine comes from the Latin word Valentinus, a proper name derived from the word valens, meaning “to be strong, powerful, mighty.” Any connection with Nimrod?

We read in the Scriptures that Nimrod was “the mighty hunter” (Genesis 10:9). It was a common proverb of ancient time that Nimrod was “the mighty hunter before the Lord.” Nimrod was their hero — their strong man — their valentine!

But why do we associate hearts with a day set aside in honor of Nimrod — the Baal of the Phoenicians?

The surprising answer is that the ancient Romans acquired the symbol of the heart from the Babylonians. Nimrod founded Babel. He was the first lord of the Babylonians .

In the Chaldean tongue, spoken in Babylonia, the word for “heart” was bal. The heart — bal — became, because of similarity in sound, a symbol of Nimrod — the Baal or Lord of the ancient Babylonians!

Later, professing Christians in Constantine’s day associated one of their martyrs named Valentine with festivities honoring Nimrod — the Valentine of the heathen. In this way pagan Romans were influenced to “embrace” the church while still continuing their pagan customs.

Why February 14?

But why should the early Romans have chosen February 15 and the evening of February 14 to honor Lupercus — the Nimrod of the Scriptures? (Remember that days in ancient times began at sunset the evening before.)

Nimrod — the Baal or sun-god of the ancient pagans — was said to have been born at the winter solstice. In the 21st century B.C., the winter solstice occurred on January 6. Semiramis I, who ruled as queen in that century, ordered Nimrod’s birthday to be celebrated on the day we designate January 6.

The Eastern Orthodox churches still commemorate this particular day, but now call it by the name Christmas instead.

Later, as the solstice changed, Julius Caesar ordered the Roman world to celebrate this birth date on the new date of the solstice — on December 25 on his reformed calendar. This day was called the Brumalia. Today it is labeled Christmas.

It was the custom of antiquity for the mother of a male child to present herself for purification on the 40th day after the day of birth. The fortieth day after January 6 — Nimrod’s original birth date — takes us to February 15, the celebration of which began on the evening of February 14 — the Lupercalia or St. Valentine’s Day.

On this day in February, Semiramis, the mother of Nimrod, was said to have been purified and to have appeared for the first time in public with her son as the original “mother and child.”

The Roman month February, in fact, derives its name from the februa, which the Roman priests used in the rites celebrated on the Lupercalia. The februa were thongs from the skins of sacrificial animals used in rites of purification on the evening of February 14.

This, then, is the origin of Valentine’s Day.

Why should we continue teaching children these pagan customs, derived from ancient and outdated pagan sex-and hero-worship? Why not teach them, instead, what history and the Scriptures really say?

You need to know exactly what the Scriptures does say about what days YAHUAH’s true people should observe.

Valentine’s Day: The Story Behind St. Valentine

Valentine’s Day: The Story Behind St. Valentine

Like Christmas, Easter, Halloween, New Year’s and other holidays of this world, St. Valentine’s Day is another attempt to “whitewash” perverted customs and observances of pagan gods and idols by “Christianizing” them.

St. Valentine’s Day is the world’s “holiday of love.” Since the Scripture states that YAH is love (I John 4:816), does He approve of the celebration of this day? Does He want His people—True Believers—partaking in the candy and cards, or any customs associated with this day?

When YAHUAH says He wants you to live life abundantly (John 10:10), does that include celebrating a festive, seemingly harmless holiday like Valentine’s Day? The ELOHIYM who gives us everything—life, food, drink, the ability to think for ourselves, etc.—surely approves of St. Valentine’s Day, the holiday for lovers to exchange gifts—right?

Do not be so certain. Do not assume anything. Do not even take this article’s word for it. Go to history books and encyclopedias. Go to the Scriptures. Then you will know the real truth behind St. Valentine’s Day. And you will know what YAHUAH expects you to do about it!

Valentine’s Past

Like Christmas, Easter, Halloween, New Year’s and other holidays of this world, St. Valentine’s Day is another attempt to “whitewash” perverted customs and observances of pagan gods and idols by “Christianizing” them.

As innocent and harmless as St. Valentine’s Day may appear, its traditions and customs originate from two of the most sexually perverted pagan festivals of ancient history: Lupercalia and the feast day of Juno Februata.

Celebrated on February 15, Lupercalia (known as the “festival of sexual license”) was held by the ancient Romans in honor of Lupercus, god of fertility and husbandry, protector of herds and crops, and a mighty hunter—especially of wolves. The Romans believed that Lupercus would protect Rome from roving bands of wolves, which devoured livestock and people.

Assisted by Vestal Virgins, the Luperci (male priests) conducted purification rites by sacrificing goats and a dog in the Lupercal cave on Palatine Hill, where the Romans believed the twins Romulus and Remus had been sheltered and nursed by a she-wolf before they eventually founded Rome. Clothed in loincloths made from sacrificed goats and smeared in their blood, the Luperci would run about Rome, striking women with februa, thongs made from skins of the sacrificed goats. The Luperci believed that the floggings purified women and guaranteed their fertility and ease of childbirth. February derives from februa or “means of purification.”

To the Romans, February was also sacred to Juno Februata, the goddess of febris (“fever”) of love, and of women and marriage. On February 14, billets (small pieces of paper, each of which had the name of a teen-aged girl written on it) were put into a container. Teen-aged boys would then choose one billet at random. The boy and the girl whose name was drawn would become a “couple,” joining in erotic games at feasts and parties celebrated throughout Rome. After the festival, they would remain sexual partners for the rest of the year. This custom was observed in the Roman Empire for centuries.

Whitewashing Perversion

In A.D. 494, Pope Gelasius renamed the festival of Juno Februata as the “Feast of the Purification of the Virgin Mary.” The date of its observance was later changed from February 14 to February 2, then changed back to the 14. It is also known as Candlemas, the Presentation of the Lord, the Purification of the Blessed Virgin and the Feast of the Presentation of Christ in the Temple.

After Constantine had made the Roman church’s brand of Christianity the official religion of the Roman Empire (A.D. 325), church leaders wanted to do away with the pagan festivals of the people. Lupercalia was high on their list. But the Roman citizens thought otherwise.

It was not until A.D. 496 that the church at Rome was able to do anything about Lupercalia. Powerless to get rid of it, Pope Gelasius instead changed it from February 15 to the 14th and called it St. Valentine’s Day. It was named after one of that church’s saints, who, in A.D. 270, was executed by the emperor for his beliefs.

According to the Catholic Encyclopedia, “At least three different Saint Valentines, all of them martyrs, are mentioned in early martyrologies under the date of 14 February. One is described as a priest at Rome, another as bishop of Interamna (modern Terni), and these two seem both to have suffered in the second half of the third century and to have been buried on the Flaminian Way, but at different distances from the city…Of the third Saint Valentine, who suffered in Africa with a number of companions, nothing is further known.” Several biographies of different men named Valentine were merged into one “official” St. Valentine.

The church whitewashed Lupercalia even further. Instead of putting the names of girls into a box, the names of “saints” were drawn by both boys and girls. It was then each person’s duty to emulate the life of the saint whose name he or she had drawn. This was Rome’s vain attempt to “whitewash” a pagan observance by “Christianizing” it, which YAHUAH has not given man the power or authority to do.

Though the church at Rome had banned the sexual lottery, young men still practiced a much toned-down version, sending women whom they desired handwritten romantic messages containing St. Valentine’s name.

Over the centuries, St. Valentine’s Day cards became popular, especially by the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. These cards were painted with pictures of Cupid and hearts, and meticulously decorated with lace, silk or flowers.

But who was the original Valentine? What does the name Valentine mean?

Valentine comes from the Latin Valentinus, which derives from valens—“to be strong, powerful, mighty.” The Scripture describes a man with a similar title: “And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. He was a mighty hunter before YAHUAH: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before YAHUAH” (Gen. 10:8-9). He was said to have hunted with bow and arrow.

As mentioned, the Romans celebrated Lupercalia to honor the hunter god Lupercus. To the Greeks, from whom the Romans had copied most of their mythology, Lupercus was known as Pan, the god of light. The Phoenicians worshipped the same deity as Baal, the sun god. Baal was one of many names or titles for Nimrod, a mighty hunter, especially of wolves. He was also the founder and first lord of Babel (Gen. 10:10-12). Defying YAHUAH, Nimrod was the originator of the Babylonian Mystery Religion, whose mythologies have been copied by the Egyptians, the Greeks, the Romans and a multitude of other ancient peoples. Under different names or titles—Pan, Lupercus, Saturn, Osiris—Nimrod is the strong man and hunter-warrior god of the ancients.

But what does the heart symbol have to do with a day honoring Nimrod/Valentine?

The title Baal means “lord” or “master,” and is mentioned throughout the Scriptures as the god of pagans. YAHUAH warned His people not to worship or even tolerate the ways of Baal (Nimrod). In ancient Chaldean (the language of the Babylonians), bal, which is similar to Baal, meant, “heart.” This is where the Valentine heart symbol originated.

Now notice the name Cupid. It comes from the Latin verb cupere, meaning “to desire.” Cupid was the son of Venus, Roman goddess of beauty and love. Also known as Eros in ancient Greece, he was the son of Aphrodite.

According to myth, he was responsible for impregnating numerous goddesses and mortals. Cupid was a child-like archer (remember, Nimrod was a skilled archer). Mythology describes Cupid as having both a cruel and happy personality. He would use his invisible arrows, tipped with gold, to strike unsuspecting men and women, causing them to fall madly in love. He did not do this for their benefit, but to drive them crazy with intense passion, to make their lives miserable, and to laugh at the results.

Many of the gods of the Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, Assyrians and others were modeled after one man—Nimrod.

But what does this have to do with us today? Why should we be concerned with what happened in the past?

What YAHUAH Thinks

Read what YAHUAH commands His people concerning pagan customs and traditions: “Learn not the way of the heathen…For the customs of the people are vain” (Jer. 10:2-3). Also notice Messiah’s words in Matthew 15:9: “…in vain they do worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”

Throughout the Scripture, YAHUAH describes “heathens” as those who worship things that He had created (animals, the sun, the moon, stars, trees, etc.), or man-made idols, or anything but the one true ELOHIYM. He calls such people and their practices pagan. True Believers understand that YAHUAH hates any customs, practices and traditions that are rooted in paganism.

But just how serious is YAHUAH about paganism?

When He rescued the twelve tribes of Yisrael from brutal slavery and led them out of Egypt, He commanded them, “After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein you dwelt, shall you not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, where I bring you, shall you not do: neither shall you walk in their ordinances” (Lev. 18:3). YAHUAH demanded the Yisraelites not to defile themselves with the pagan practices and customs of surrounding nations (vs. 24-29). “Therefore shall you keep Mine ordinance, that you commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that you defile not yourselves therein: I am YAHUAH your ELOHIYM” (vs. 30).

YAHUAH cursed Egypt—a nation of nature-worshippers—with ten plagues and freed Yisrael from slavery.

He rescued Yisrael from Pharaoh’s army by parting the Red Sea and leading His people to safety. He fed the Yisraelites manna—special bread made by YAHUAH—from heaven. He protected them from battle-tested Gentile armies, delivered them into the Promised Land and drove out their enemies.

How did Yisrael treat YAHUAH in return? “Our fathers understood not Your wonders in Egypt; they remembered not the multitude of Your mercies; but provoked Him at the sea, even at the Red Sea…They soon forgot His works; they waited not for His counsel: But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted YAHUAH in the desert…They made a calf in Horeb, and worshipped the molten image. Thus they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eats grass. They forgot YAHUAH their Savior, which had done great things in Egypt; wondrous works in the land of Ham, and terrible things by the Red Sea…they despised the pleasant land, they believed not His word: But murmured in their tents, and hearkened not unto the voice of YAHUAH …They joined themselves also unto Baal-peor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead. Thus they provoked Him to anger with their intentions” (Psa. 106:7, 13-14,19-22, 24-25, 28-29).

YAHUAH explicitly commanded Yisrael to cast out and utterly destroy all nations that occupied the Promised Land (Canaan). Above all, His people were not to make political alliances with them or marry into their families (Deut. 7:1-3, 5, 16). “For they will turn away your sons from following Me, that they may serve other elohiym’s” (vs. 4).

But the Yisraelites thought they knew better than YAHUAH. They decided to do things their own way.

“They did not destroy the nations, concerning whom YAHUAH commanded them: But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works. And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them. Yes, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils [demons], and shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood. Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions” (Psa. 106:34-39).

To wake them up and get them back on track as the model nation He had originally intended, YAHUAH gave Yisrael over to their enemies. Yisrael repented and cried out to YAHUAH. YAHUAH rescued them. With their bellies full and lives protected, the Yisraelites went back to pursuing other elohiym’s. YAHUAH punished Yisrael again. Yisrael repented and cried out to YAHUAH.

And so went the deliverance-idolatry-punishment-repentance cycle (vs. 40-46), until finally, YAHUAH had no other choice but to divorce unfaithful Yisrael (Jer. 3:6-11).

He used the Assyrians, one of the most brutal warrior nations in history, to invade, conquer, enslave and relocate the entire northern kingdom of Yisrael (II Kings 17).

Having “disappeared” from history, the modern-day descendants of those ten “lost” tribes are unaware of their true identity even to this day.

Later, YAHUAH sent the southern kingdom of Yahudah (Judah) (mainly the tribes of Yahudah/Judah, Benjamin and Levi) into Babylonian exile (II Kings 24 and 25). Because they kept (at least physically) the true Sabbath, which is a special sign that identifies the one true ELOHIYM and His people (Ex. 31:12-18), the Yahudiym (Jews) were able to retain their true identity.

The Yisraelites were severely punished because they lusted after pagan customs, rituals, traditions and practices. As you can see, YAHUAH does not take paganism lightly.

Why Paganism Is Wrong

Just why does YAHUAH hate anything that resembles pagan customs?

Is it possible to “whitewash” or “Christianize” pagan practices and make them clean?

Is it okay to practice pagan customs as long as you “worship YAHUAH”?

Notice what YAHUAH says in Leviticus chapter 18. After rescuing Yisrael from slavery, YAHUAH warned them not to practice the customs they had picked up in Egypt, or learn the ways, customs and traditions of the Gentile nations that they would encounter in the Promised Land (vs. 1-3). Instead, YAHUAH commanded Yisrael to follow His ways (vs. 4-5).

YAHUAH then describes the pagan ways of these ungodly nations in great detail. In verses 7-20, He condemns all kinds of heterosexual sex relations that fall outside the holy boundaries of marriage—incest, fornication, adultery, etc.

In verses 22-23, YAHUAH condemns homosexuality and bestiality. Together, these sins break down and destroy the family unit that YAHUAH had so lovingly created and instituted.

Notice what YAHUAH links to these perversions: “And you shall not let any of your seed [children] pass through the fire to Molech, neither shall you profane the name of your ELOHIYM: I am YAHUAH” (vs. 21). YAHUAH ties in the perverse sexual practices of ungodly, pagan nations with human sacrifices—parents offering the lives of their children to pagan gods!

The Scripture shows that Yisrael not only disobeyed YAHUAH and wholeheartedly embraced the sexual immorality of the Gentiles, they even went a step further.

“And they have turned unto Me the back, and not the face: though I taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet they have not hearkened to receive instruction. But they set their abominations in the house [the temple at Jerusalem], which is called by My name, to defile it. And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into My mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Yahudah (Judah) to sin” (Jer. 32:33-35).

Imagine. Yisrael committed a sin so vile, so disgusting, that it even shocked YAHUAH!

But that was then. What about today?

Surely, parents do not sacrifice their children to pagan gods today—or do they?

Do not be so certain. Perhaps their lives are not being sacrificed—but what about their innocence?

Parents today expect their little ones to “fall in love” and have boyfriends and girlfriends. They think it is “cute” when little boys and girls hold hands and act like a couple, sneaking a kiss or two when no one is watching. Some parents get worried when their kids do not show romantic interest in the opposite sex. They constantly ask them, “Do you have a boyfriend yet?” or “Who’s your girlfriend?”

Yet these same parents are surprised when their teen-aged “little girl” gets pregnant. Or catches a sexually transmitted disease. Or gets an abortion behind their back.

St. Valentine’s Day is just one of many tools the “elohiym/god of this world” (II Cor. 4:4) uses to get parents to sacrifice the innocence of their children.

When little boys and girls draw each other’s names in a lottery and send Valentine cards and gifts to each other, declaring their “love,” they are learning the first stages of intimate relations that the Creator YAHUAH designed specifically for emotionally mature adults. Instead of embracing the carefree innocence of youth, growing up without the headaches and heartaches of adulthood (finding a job, paying bills, marriage, raising a family, etc.), children today are taught to lust after each other. They are caught up in a daily drama of “If-you-loved-me-you’d-sleep-with-me; I’m-pregnant; It’s-not-mine, she-had-an-abortion.” By the time they reach adulthood, virtually every shred of innocence, sincerity and moral decency has been stripped from them. Emotionally drained, they have world-weary, “been there, done that” attitudes. And their lives are just beginning.

This is why we live in a world where a teen-aged virgin is a rare find. Where what used to be called “shacking up” and “living in sin” is now simply “living together.” Where sex is nothing more than meaningless physical recreation—no emotional attachments, no cares, no concerns. Where people change sex partners as conveniently as they change clothes. Where unmarried twenty- or thirty-somethings have had at least five sexual partners—and that is considered a low number, especially in the United States. Where men are not referred to as “my husband,” or “my fiancé,” but as “my second baby’s father.”

How pathetic!

Satan has deceived the whole world (Rev. 12:9) in multiple ways—especially when it comes to intimate relationships.

St. Valentine’s Day is just one of his tools for deception.

“Come Out of Her, My People”

Concerning the near future, when man’s Satan-influenced world is about to collapse, YAHUAH declares, “Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils [demons], and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed [increased] rich through the abundance of her delicacies” (Rev. 18:2-3).

Concerning this pagan, satanic system, YAHUAH commands true Believers, “Come out of her, My people, that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues” (vs. 4).

St. Valentine’s Day originates from the ancient paganism of this Satan-influenced world. It is designed to deceive mankind by appealing to fleshly, carnal desires—or, as the Scriptures calls them, the works of the flesh. “Now the works of the flesh are manifest [made obvious], which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry…drunkenness, revellings, and such like” (Gal. 5:19-21). Do any of these sound like Lupercalia to you?

Ultimately, “they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of YAHUAH.” A true Believer is focused on YAHUAH’s soon-coming kingdom (Matt. 6:33) and the world to come—not on the fleshly cravings of this world.

A true Believer must strive to “put off the old man” and actively imitate the perfect, righteous example of YAHUSHA HA’MASHIACH. A Believer knows that he must actively come out of this world, out of its pagan-infested customs, practices and traditions.

True Believers in YAHUAH and His Torah do not celebrate St. Valentine’s Day!

KNOW the REAL TRUTH about Valentines

KNOW the REAL TRUTH about Valentines . . .

By Pierre Eksteen

Be informed! Do NOT blindly follow the pagan traditions of man!

The FRUIT of real love towards Almighty Father YHUH (YHWH’s) is guarding His teachings, instructions and commandments (Torah).

(Yoh 14:15, 21; Yoh 15:10; 1Yoh 5:3; 2Yoh 1:6)

Mat 18:5-6 WARNS us to NOT let any of FATHER’S children stumble.

Lev 18:30

‘And you shall guard My Charge, so as not to do any of these abominable practices which were done before you, so as not to defile yourselves by them. I am YHUH your Elohim.’

When we consider that valentine’s day is a day of preoccupation with the heart, it is essential that we listen to the following words spoken by the Almighty in YirmeYahu (Jer) 17:9-10, “The heart is crooked above all, and desperately sick – who shall know it? I, YHUH, search the heart; I try the kidneys, and give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds”.

Valentine’s Day came about this way . . .

As far back as 296 B.C. according to World Book Encyclopaedia, there was worship of the god Pan, also called Faunus and Lupercus. Cupid (cupido) is the Latin name for god of sexual love. The arrow and the heart have sexual meanings and goes back to worshiping Babylon gods. Pagan Romans celebrated February 14th and 15th as an idolatrous, sensuous festival called Lupercalia, in honor of one called Lupercus, the hunter of wolves. On this day, Lupercalia, which was later named Valentine’s Day, the Luperci or priests of Lupercus dressed in goatskins for a bloody ceremony (similar as used in satanic worship). The priests of Lupercus, the wolf god, would sacrifice goats and a dog and then smear themselves with blood (similar to sacrifices performed in satanism). These priests, made red with sacrificial blood, would run around Palatine Hill in a wild frenzy while carving a goatskin thong called a “februa.” Women would sit all around the hill, as the bloody priests would strike them with the goatskin thongs to make them fertile. The young women would then gather in the city and their names were put in boxes. These “love notes” were called “billets.” The men of Rome would draw a billet, and the woman whose name was on it became his sexual lust partner with whom he would fornicate until the next Lupercalia or February 14th. Thus, February 14th became a day of unbridled sexual lust.

The color “red” was sacred to that day because of the blood and the “heart shape” that is popular to this day. The heart-shape was not a representation of the human heart, which looks nothing like it. This shape represents the human female matrix or opening to the chamber of sacred copulation. When the Gnostic Catholic Church began to get a foothold in Rome around the 3rd century A.D., they became known as “Valentinians”. The Catholic Valentinians retained the sexual license of the festival in what they called “angels in a nuptial chamber”, which was also called the “sacrament of copulation.” This was said to be a reenactment of the marriage of “Sophia and the Redeemer.” As the participants of the February 14th ritual began their sexual sacrament, presided over and watched by the priests known as Valentinians, the following literary was spoken: “Let the seed of light descend into thy bridal chamber, receive the bridegroom . . . open thine arms to embrace him. Behold, grace has descended upon thee.” As time went on, the Orthodox Church suppressed the Gnostic Catholics and manufactured “St. Valentine”, whose day continues to be celebrated in these modern times.

It should be without saying that Believers should avoid valentine’s day like a plague. In YHUH’s eyes, it is still “Lupercalia”, the “Day Of The Wolf.” Men become wolves, as they carry on the satanic rituals of fornication, which means sexual intercourse without marriage. We have heard of the “wolf whistle”, and we all know that wolves do not whistle. It is lustful men and women, who carry on satan’s blasphemy to this very day.

Britannica says Eros or Cupid is the god of sexual passion, son of Aphrodite and Zeus. Chief gods associated with Eros and Pathos are Himeros (longing and desire), and Peitho (persuasion).

According to “The Two Babylons”, page 5, Semiramis is mother of gods; page 21, mother of Tammuz; and pages 62-63, Tammuz is Nimrod (see Gen 10:8-11). When traced back, valentine’s day is the worship of Semiramis and Tammuz-Nimrod.

Can you as a Believer promote this day or bring children under its curses?

Is this HOW we are COMMANDED through SCRIPTURE to LOVE, PROTECT and GUIDE our CHILDREN?

IICor 6:14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers-do not make mismatched alliances with them, or come under a different yoke with them (inconsistent with your faith). For what partnership have right living and right standing with YHUH with iniquity and lawlessness? Or how can light fellowship with darkness?

IICor 6:15 What agreement (can there be between) a temple of YHUH and idols? For we are the temple of the living YHUH; even as YHUH hath said, I will dwell in and with and among them, and will walk in and with and among them, and I will be their god and they shall be my people (see Exo 25:8; 29:45, Lev 26:12, Eze 37:27 and Jer 31:1).

IICor 6:17 So come out from among them (unbelievers), and separate (sever) yourselves from them, says YHUH, and touch not (any) unclean thing; then I will receive you kindly and treat you with favor (see Isa 52:11).

IICor 6:18 And I will be a Father to you, and you shall be my sons and daughters says YHUH Almighty (see Hos 1:10 and Isa 43:6)

How could I ask YHUH (Yahuah) to bless me when I have just risen up from idol worship (see Jos 23:6-16 and 24:20)?

Since Nimrod worship is Baal worship, and Baal worship required child sacrifice, could it be possible that by serving gods like lupercus, baal and saturn, we have brought the Scriptural curses upon our families and our nation such as abortion, child abuse, homosexuality, unprovoked murders, financial loss, etc?

YHUH really got upset at the Yisraelites for worshiping other gods. Why would He not do the same with us? How can we as Believers encourage our children in satan worship with valentine’s day activities?

Could it be that we focus our children’s minds on erotic ideas in the guise of sweetheart day? Then we wonder why they are promiscuous? It would seem that we are double minded (Jam 1:4-8).

What can we expect to get from Yahuah (YHUH/YHWH), our Almighty? For those who say we can use old idol worship days and be STILL BE IN RIGHT-STANDING with YHUH, how do you explain Mar 7:7-9?

YHUH’S pattern and the world’s pattern has never, nor can it ever be the same. We cannot serve light and darkness. There is NO GREY AREA. There is either TRUTH (incorruptible seed from the Word of YHUH through His set-apart Spirit) or DECEIT (by satan through the doctrines and traditions of man via religion) . . .

Who will you serve? Who will your children serve through your example? (Exo 20, Jos 23 and Deu 28)

Almighty Yahuah (YHUH/YHWH) condemns using pagan religious practices in His worship (Deut 12:29-31)

YHUH condemns adding to or taking away from His commandments (Deut 12:32)

YHUH commands us to separate from and not touch pagan religion (IICor 6:14-18)

YHUH commands us to come out of Roman Catholicism and her sins (Rev 18:4)

YHUH condemns turning to the left or right from His commandments (Deut 5:32-33) Messiah instructed His Disciples to teach us to observe only His commands (Matt 28:20)

YHUH seeks true worshipers to worship Him in truth, not tradition (Joh 4:23-24)

YHUH condemns anything different from His Word as dark ignorance (Isa 8:20)

YHUH abominates anything popular with the world and esteemed by it (Luk 16:15)

YHUH condemns traditions in His worship as evil and vain hypocrisy (Mar 7:5-13)

YHUH hates the polluting of His esteemed Name with pagan idolatry (Eze 20:39)

Exo 20:3-6

“You have no other mighty ones against My face. You do not make for yourself a carved image (cupids are graven images), or any likeness of that which is in the heavens above, or which is in the earth beneath, or which is in the waters under the earth, you do not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, YHUH your Elohim am a jealous Ěl, visiting the crookedness of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing kindness to thousands, to those who love Me and guard My commands”.

WHO will you serve? satan and his perverted traditions through religion, man and institution, or Almighty Father YHUH (Yahuah) through His inspired Word?

Your choices have DEFINITE consequences for you, your children, as well as their children (Deut 28)!

And Avraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Avraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.

And Avraham called the name of that place YAHUAH YIREH: as it is said to this day, In the Mount of YAHUAH it shall be seen.

The Hebrew Word HalleluYAH – Its Origin and Significance

The Hebrew Word HalleluYAH – Its Origin and Significance

The word Hallelujah, pronounced “HalleluYah,” is the most ancient of all words of praise.

It is used both on earth and in heaven to worship the Almighty (Rev. 19:1-6). What is the origin, meaning, and significance of this well-known word?

HalleluYah is a pure Hebrew word and yet it is found in almost every language under the sun. The first part of the word, “hallelu,” means “praise” or “praise ye.” The last part, “Yah,” is the Name of the One being praised.

YAHUAH is the personal Name of the Heavenly Father. Yah is the basic or short form of the Heavenly Father’s Name. The full form of the Father’s sacred Name is YAHUAH. This Name is found in the Hebrew Scriptures, Bible concordances, encyclopedias and dictionaries, as well as in many current writings of history and archaeology.

YAHUAH’s Name is found more than 6,800 times in the Scripture’s original language. We also find it as the end of many names of Scripture prophets, such as Elijah (EliYah), which means “My Mighty One is Yah,” as well as Jeremiah, Obadiah, Isaiah, Zechariah, etc.

Where We Got the Word “Jehovah”

Until recent years, many people thought that His Name was to be pronounced “Jehovah,” but, as the Encyclopedia Britannica explains, “Jehovah” is an erroneous form of the Sacred Name, of which the true form is YAHUAH.” Most modern dictionaries show the same.

We should not profane the Creator’s Name by using an erroneous or corrupted form. This wrong form came about when certain Bible translators mistakenly used the vowel sounds of the Hebrew word for master (adonai) and mixed them with the four Hebrew letters (tetragrammaton) that form the Heavenly Father’s Name.

Here is how and why this happened: Originally, the Name YAHUAH was known and used worldwide when all men knew Him and there were no false deities. But after most of the world went into idolatry, YAHUAH made Himself known again by Name to certain men such as Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Gen. 12:8, 26:25, 28:13) and later to Moses (Ex. 3:15, 34:5-6).

Thus, His Name was revealed to the Hebrew people who were instructed to use it. For centuries it was freely used. But much later, religious leaders began to say it was too sacred to be spoken. They told the people to just say or read adonai (my Lord) when they came across the Sacred Name in the Scriptures.

Because of this, when vowel marks were later added to the Hebrew language, the vowel marks for adonai were inserted with the letters of the Sacred Name. This was to indicate to the people to say adonai and not the true Name YAHUAH.

As a result, when translators in later years sought to translate the Scriptures into other languages, they became confused. They mixed the vowel sound for adonai with the letters of the Sacred Name and came up with “Jehovah.”

Scriptural Importance of the True Name

It would seem that anyone who wants to know their Creator as their Heavenly Father would want to know His name. The Scripture itself does not leave us in any doubt as to the vital importance of the Name of YAHUAH.

When the true Name is put back into the pas- sages where translators substituted the words “the Lord,” the Scripture makes it very clear that we should know, love, and use the Name of YAHUAH.

Here are just a few examples:

*Micah 6:9, “YAHUAH’s voice cries unto the city, and the man of wisdom shall see Thy Name.”

*Ezekiel 39:7, “So will I make My Holy Name known in the midst of My people Yisrael: and I will not let them pollute My Holy Name any more; the heathen shall know that I am YAHUAH, the Holy One in Yisrael.”

*Zechariah 14:9, “YAHUAH will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be YAHUAH, and His Name the only Name.”

*Joel 2:32, “And it shall come to pass that whosoever shall call on the Name of YAHUAH shall be delivered [saved].”

*Exodus 20:7, “Thou shalt not take the Name of YAHUAH thy Almighty One in vain, for YAHUAH will not hold him guiltless that taketh His Name in vain.” To say it is unimportant or a vain thing is certainly one way of taking it in vain.

*Malachi 3:16, “…and a book of remembrance was written before Him for them that feared YAHUAH, and that thought upon His Name.”

One further verse gives powerful evidence of the need to use this Name. That verse is Psalm 68:4 (KJV), “Sing unto ELOHIYM, sing praises to His Name; extol Him…by His Name JAH, and rejoice before Him.” (JAH is pronounced YAH as in hallelujah.) There was no J in the original Hebrew.

So it is very clear from Scripture that the Name of YAHUAH is meant to be known and used by those who love Him.

The Name Link Between Father and Son

There is also a direct and important connection between the Name of the Almighty and the Name of His Son, our Savior.

Joseph was told by the angel: “She shall bring forth a son, and you shall call His Name YAHUSHA, for He shall save His people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21). The name of Jesus does not have the same meaning as the name YAHUSHA.

Scripture scholars know that our Savior was not known by the name “Jesus.” The fact that many have come to accept the person of the Savior while knowing only the name of Jesus does not make that His actual Name. He was born a He– brew, as prophesied in Isaiah 9:6, Micah 5:2, and elsewhere. But “Jesus” is not Hebrew. “Jesus” is derived from the Greek name Iesous, which is found in the Greek translations.

His Name is actually the same as Joshua, the successor of Moses. In the King James, in He– brews 4:8 and Acts 7:45, the name “Jesus” is used when speaking of Joshua. This shows that “Jesus” is being substituted for the Hebrew name Joshua. The Greek text actually has the same name Iesous for both men.

If the J in Joshua is pronounced as Y in ac– cordance with Hebrew, which has no J sound, we have nearly the correct pronunciation of the Sav- ior’s Name. But “Yoshua” does not show a con- nection with the Father’s Name. Therefore, the more correct way to write His Name in English is “YAHUSHA.”

Originally, Joshua was called Hoshua or Oshea, meaning “salvation” or “deliverance.” But Moses added the sacred Name to this and called him Yah-oshua, meaning “salvation of Yah” or “Yah-salvation” (Numbers 13:16).

Later, the o sound was dropped in usage and the name became shortened to YAHUSHA. This happened after Yisrael’s Babylonian captivity. The shortened form, then, was in use when the Savior of man was named in the New Testament.

At Psalm 72:17 in the well-known World Publishing Co. edition of the King James Bible, the center reference shows the original Hebrew reads as follows: “His Name shall be as a Son to continue His Father’s Name forever: and men shall be blessed in Him; all nations shall call Him blessed.”

This is clearly a prophecy concerning the Savior. And of course, a son always bears his father’s or family name. The Savior Himself said, “ I have come in my Father’s Name…” (John 5:43).

The Messiah’s Name, YAHUSHA, contains the Sacred, heavenly family Name Yah: YAHU-sha. He truly and literally came in His Father’s Name, as He Himself said (John 5:43). He alone is the “Salvation of Yah.”

“Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other Name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved,” (Acts 4:12).

This is not to say that those who have been unwillingly ignorant of His true Name have not found salvation in the person of the Savior. YAHUAH is full of justice and mercy. Nevertheless, His past mercy in no way justifies continuing in error. To use the words of Acts 17:30, “The times of this ignorance YAHUAH winked at; but now commands all men everywhere to repent.”

When any truth is restored, which men’s traditions have hidden, it becomes the responsibility of His true people to walk in that truth regardless of the cost. “Therefore, to him that knows to do good and does it not, to him it is sin” (James 4:17).

“HalleluYah!”

Origin of Substitute Names

Keep in mind that the word “Lord” is a substitute title and is not the true Name. The word “baal,” which came into Hebrew from the Babylonian language, was translated “lord.” Read these revealing verses:

*“How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies?…which think to cause My people to forget My Name…as their fathers have forgotten My Name for Baal” [that is Lord] (Jeremiah 23:26-27).

*“‘And it shall be at that day,’ says YAHUAH, ‘you shall call me Ishi [my husband] and shall call Me no more Baali [my Lord]. For I will take away the names of Baalim [Lords] out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name,’” (Hosea 2:16-17). Baal (Lord) was the name the pagan Babylonians called their deity.

Incidentally, one of the names of Baal was Gad, pronounced God. This was the Baal of fortification or troops and is translated “troop” in Isaiah 65:11, a passage condemning Israel for idolatry.

According to Romans 10:13-14, Acts 2:21 and 22:16, “Whosoever shall call upon the Name of YAHUAH shall be delivered [saved].” This is fulfilled by calling on the Name of YAHUSHA the Messiah, which contains the Father’s Name—the family Name Yah. Perhaps you already know the Savior. If so, start now to call on Him by His true Name and ask YAHUAH to “take the names of Baalim [Lords] out of your mouth.”

If you are yet in your sins, having never really accepted the Savior, put your trust in Him Who died for you and Who is now living at the Father’s right hand. He will soon return to set up His Kingdom on earth. You, too, can become a child of the Most High YAHUAH and an heir to eternal life. “He that believes on the Son has everlasting life, and he that believes not on the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of the Almighty abides in him” (John 3:36).

How can you receive Him? “Repent, and be baptized, every one of you in the Name of YAHUAH/YAHUSHA the Messiah for the remission of sin, and you shall receive the gift of the Set-Apart Spirit” (which is His indwelling power in your life). “For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as YAHUAH our Almighty One shall call” (Acts 2:38-39). See also Acts 8:12, 16, 35-36; 10:43, 48; 16:31-33; 19:4-5; 22:16; Romans 6:3-4; Galatians 3:26-27; Titus 3:5; Hebrews 10:22; 1 Peter 3:21; and Mark 16:16.

When you find salvation in the Father’s Great Name, you will truly say, “HalleluYah!”
