Origin of The Cross A tradition of the Church which our fathers have inherited, was the adoption of the words “cross” and “crucify”.  These words are nowhere to be found in the Greek of the New Testament. These words are mistranslations, a “later rendering”, of the Greek words stauros and stauroo. Vine’s Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words says, “STAUROS denotes, primarily, an upright pole or stake … Both the noun and the verb stauroo, to fasten to a stake or pole, are originally to be distinguished from the ecclesiastical form of a two-beamed cross.  The shape of the latter had its origin in ancient Chaldea (Babylon), and was used as the symbol of the god Tammuz (being in the shape of the mystic Tau, the initial of his name) … By the middle of the 3rd century A.D. the churches had either departed from, or had travestied, certain doctrines of the Christian faith.  In order to increase the prestige of the apostate ecclesiastical system pagans were received into the churches apart from regeneration by faith, and were permitted largely to retain their pagan signs and symbols. Hence the Tau or T, in its most frequent form, with the cross piece lowered, was adopted . Dr. Bullinger, in the Companion Bible, appx. 162, states, “crosses were used as symbols of the Babylonian Sun-god … It should be stated that Constantine was a Sun-god worshipper … The evidence is thus complete, that the Lord was put to death upon an upright stake, and not on two pieces of timber placed at any angle.”  Rev. Alexander Hislop, The Two Babylons, pp. 197-205, frankly calls the cross “this Pagan symbol … the Tau, the sign of the cross, the indisputable sign of Tammuz, the false Messiah … the mystic Tau of the Cladeans (Babylonians) and Egyptians – the true original form of the letter T the initial of the name of Tammuz … the Babylonian cross was the recognised emblem of Tammuz.”  In the Encyclopaedia Britannica, 11th edition, vol. 14, p. 273, we read, “In the Egyption churches the cross was a pagan symbol of life borrowed by the Christians and interpreted in the pagan manner.” Jacob Grimm, in his Deutsche Mythologie, says that the Teutonic (Germanic) tribes had their idol Thor, symbolised by a hammer, while the Roman Christians had their crux (cross). It was thus somewhat easier for the Teutons to accept the Roman Cross. Greek dictionaries, lexicons and other study books also declare the primary meaning of stauros to be an upright pale, pole or stake. The secondary meaning of “cross” is admitted by them to be a “later” rendering. At least two of them do not even mention “cross”, and only render the meaning as “pole or stake”.  In spite of this strong evidence and proof that the word stauros should have been translated “stake”, and the verb stauroo to have been translated “impale”, almost all the common versions of the Scriptures persist with the Latin Vulgate’s crux (cross), a fallacious “later” rendering of the Greek stauros. Why then was the “cross” (crux) brought into the Faith? Again, historical evidence points to Constantine as the one who had the major share in uniting Sun-worship and the Messianic Faith. Constantine’s famous vision of “the cross superimposed on the sun”, in the year 312, is usually cited. Writers, ignorant of the fact that the cross was not to be found in the New Testament Scriptures, put much emphasis on this vision as the onset of the so-called “conversion” of Constantine. But, unless Constantine had been misguided by the Gnostic Manichean half-Christians, who indeed used the cross in their hybrid religion, this vision of the cross superimposed on the sun could only be the same old cosmic religion, the astrological religion of Babylon. The fact remains: that which Constantine saw, is nowhere to be found in Scripture. We read in the book of Johannes Geffcken, The Last Days of Greco-Roman Paganism, p.319, “that even after 314 A.D. the coins of Constantine show an even-armed cross as a symbol for the Sun-god.” Many scholars have doubted the “conversion” of Constantine because of the wicked deeds that he did afterwards, and because of the fact that he only requested to be baptized on his death-bed many years later, in the year 337. So, if the vision of the cross impressed him, and was used as a rallying symbol, it could not have been in honour of YAHUSHA, because Constantine continued paying homage to the Sun-deity and to one of the Sun-deity’s symbols, the cross. This continuation of Sun-worship by Constantine is of by his persistent use of images of the Sun-deity on his coins that were issued by him up to the year 323. Secondly, the fact of his motivation to issue his Sunday-keeping edict in the year 321, which was not done in honour of YAHUSHA, but was done because of the “venerable day of the Sun”, as the edict read, is proof of this continued allegiance to Sol Invictus. We shall expand on this later. Where did the cross come from, then? J.C. Cooper, An Illustrated Encyclopaedia of Traditional Symbols, p. 45, aptly summarises it, “Cross – A universal symbol from the most remote times; it is the cosmic symbol par excellence.” Other authorities also call it a sun-symbol, a Babylonian sun-symbol, an astrological Babylonian-Assyrian and heathen run-symbol, also in the form of an encircled cross referred to as a “solar wheel”, and many other varieties of crosses. Also, “the cross represents the Tree of Life”,  the age-old fertility symbol, combining the vertical male and horizontal female principles, especially in Egypt, either as an ordinary cross, or better known in the form of the crux ansata, the Egyptian ankh (sometimes called the Tau cross), which had been carried over into our modern-day symbol of the female, well known in biology. As stated above, the indisputable sign of Tammuz, the mystic Tau of the Babylonians and Egyptians, was brought into the Church chiefly because of Constantine, and has since been adored with all the homage due only to the Most High. The Protestants have for many years refrained from undue adoration of, or homage to the cross, especially in England at the time of the Puritans in the 16th – 17th centuries. But lately this un-Scriptural symbol has been increasingly accepted in Protestantism. We have previously discussed “the weeping for Tammuz”, and the similarity between the Easter resurrection and the return or rising of Tammuz. Tammuz was the young incarnate Sun, the Sun-divinity incarnate. This same Sun-deity, known amongst the Babylonians as Tammuz, was identified with the Greek Adonis and with the Phoenician Adoni,96 all of them Sun-deities, being slain in winter, then being “wept for”, and their return being celebrated by a festivity in spring, while some had it in summer – according to the myths of pagan idolatry. The evidence for its pagan origin is so convincing that The Catholic Encyclopedia admits that “the sign of the cross, represented in its simplest form by a crossing of two lines at right angles, greatly antedates, in both East and the West, the introduction of Christianity. It goes back to a very remote period of human civilization.” It then continues and revers to the Tau cross of the pagan Egyptians, “In later times the Egyptian Christians (Copts), attracted by its form, and perhaps by its symbolism, adopted it as the emblem of the cross.”98 Further proof of its pagan origin is the recorded evidence of the Vestal Virgins of pagan Rome having the cross hanging on a necklace,99 and the Egyptians doing it too, as early as the 15th century B.C.E.100 The Buddhists, and

Numerous other sects of India, also used the sign of the cross as a mark on their followers’ heads. “The cross thus widely worshipped, or regarded as a ‘sacred emblem’, was the unequivocal symbol of Bacchus, the Babylonian Messiah, for he was represented with a head-band covered with crosses. “It was also the symbol of Jupiter Foederis in Rome.103 Furthermore, we read of the cross on top of the temple of Serapis,104 the Sun-deity of Alexandria.

This is Tammuz, whom the Greeks called Bacchus, with the crosses on his head-band. After Constantine had the “vision of the cross”, he and his army promoted another variety of the cross, the Chi-Rho or Labarum or sometimes . This has subsequently been explained as representing the first letters of the name Christos, the being the Greek for “Ch” and the being the Greek for “r”. but again, this emblem had a pagan origin. The identical symbols were found as inscriptions on a rock, dating from the year ca. 2 500 B.C., being interpreted as “a combination of two Sun-symbols”, as the Ax or Hammer-symbol of the Sun- or Sky-deity, and the or as the ancient symbol of the Sun, both of these signs having a sensual or fertility meaning as well. Another proof of its pagan origin is the identical found on a coin of Ptolemeus III from the year 247 – 222 B.C.  A well-known encyclopaedia describes the Labarum (Chi-Rho) as, “The labarum was also an emblem of the Chaldean (Babylonian) sky-god and in

Christianity it was adopted…”Emperor Constantine adopted this Labarum as the imperial ensign and thereby succeeded in “uniting both divisions of his troops, pagans and Christians, in a common worship … according to Suicer the word (labarum) came into use in the reign of Hadrian, and was probably adopted from one of the nations conquered by the Romans. “It must be remembered that Hadrian reigned in the years 76 – 138, that he was a pagan emperor, worshipped the Sun-deity Serapis when he visited Alexandria, and was vehemently anti-Judaistic, being responsible for the final near-destruction of Jerusalem in the year 130.

Another dictionary relates the following about the Chi-Rho, “However, the symbol was in use long before Christianity, and X (Chi) probably stood for Great Fire or Sun,and P (Rho) probably stood for Pater or Patah (Father). The word labarum (labarum) yields everlasting Father Sun.” What is the “mark of the beast” of which we read in Rev 13:16-17, Rev 14:9-11, Rev 15:2, Rev 16:2, Rev 19:20 and Rev 20:4 – a mark on people’s foreheads and on their right hands? Rev 14:11 reveals the mark to be “the mark of his (the beast’s) name.” Have we not read about the mystic Tau, the T, the initial of Tammuz’s name, his mark? This same letter T (Tau) was written in Egyptian hieroglyphics and in the old Wemitic languages as, representing the CROSS. Different interpretations have been given to the “mark of the beast”, and also the cross has been suggested. There has been some research done on the strange crosses found on quite a few statues of pagan priests, on their foreheads. However, these scholars have been unable to come to an agreement. Conclusive evidence may still come (see among others: Dr. F.J. Dolger, Antike und Christentum, vol. 2, pp. 281-293). Let us rather use the true rendering of the Scriptural words stauros and stauro, namely “stake” and “impale” and eliminate the un-Scriptural “cross” and “crucify”.

The Mysterious “Mark of Cain”

When Cain was banished from the sight of YAHUAH ELOHIYM, to the land of “Nod,” or wandering and unrest, YAHUAH placed a “mark” upon him so that all would know who he was, and would not destroy him lest they suffer seven-fold vengeance.

The Hebrew word for “mark” is simply owth and means “a signal, as a flag, beacon, monument, omen, prodigy, evidence — mark, miracle, ensign, token.”

It was something that identified Cain, and set him apart from other men. It marked him as NOT being one of YAHUAH’s own people, but an outcast, a renegade, a man who had been banished from the society of YAHUAH’s people. This mark came to stand for Cain and his way. Could it have been the pagan “cross” or “X” which was a sign commonly used in pagan societies and among the heathens religions? The “cross” or “Tau” symbol stood for the pagan Messiah Tammuz, who was the illegitimate son of Semiramis, wife of Nimrod.

Alexander Hislop tells us:

“There is yet one more symbol of the Romish worship to be noticed, and that is the sign of the CROSS. In the Papal system, as is well known, the sign of the cross and the image of the cross are all in all. No prayer can be said, no worship engaged in, no step almost can be taken, without the frequent use of the sign of the cross. The cross was looked upon as the GRAND CHARM [rememeber Cain? The “mark” was his symbol of divine protection! No wonder its use would become commonplace among his followers!], as the GREAT REFUGE IN EVERY SEASON OF DANGER, in every hour of temptation as the INFALLIBLE PRESERVATIVE from all the powers of darkness. The cross is adored with all the homage due only to the Most High; and for any one to call it, in the hearing of a genuine Romanist, by the Scriptural term, ‘the accursed tree’ is a MORTAL OFFENCE.

“To say that such superstitious feeling for the sign of the cross, such worship as Rome pays to a wooden or a metal cross, ever grew out of the saying of Paul, ‘God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ’ — that is, in the doctrine of Christ crucified — is a mere absurdity, a shallow subterfuge and pretence. The magic virtue attributed to the so-called sign of the cross, the worship bestowed on it, never came from such a source. The SAME SIGN OF THE CROSS THAT ROME NOW WORSHIPS WAS USED IN THE BABYLONIAN MYSTERIES, was applied by Paganism to the same magic purposes, was honoured with the same honours.

“That which is now called the Christian cross was ORIGINALLY NO CHRISTIAN EMBLEM AT ALL, BUT WAS THE MYSTIC TAU OF THE CHALDEANS AND EGYPTIANS — the true original form of the letter T — the initial of the name of Tammuz — which, in Hebrew, radically the same as ancient Chaldee….That mystic Tau was MARKED IN BAPTISM ON THE FOREHEADS OF THOSE INITIATED IN THE MYSTERIES, and was used in every variety of way as a most sacred symbol. To identify Tammuz with the son it was joined sometimes to the circle of the sun…” (The Two Babylons, Loizeaux Brothers, Neptune, NJ 1959, pp. 197-198).

A clear understanding of the pagan use of the cross can only inspire one to wonder as to its original source. And nothing would suit the purpose better than the “mark,” the “sign of protection” which YAHUAH ELOHIYM Himself used to mark the forehead of Cain!

This was further reinforced when the Roman Church accepted the fictitious account of Constantine the Great’s so-called conversion to Christianity. According to Finding Dulcinea (Librarian of the Internet) —

“Constantine was the son of Constantius, who had served as a Caesar (a junior emperor) of the Western Roman Empire under Maximian before succeeding Maximian as Augustus (senior emperor) in 305. Constantius’ death in 306 sparked a conflict over who would succeed him. Though Constantine had the support of his father’s army, he allowed Severus, his father’s Caesar, to become Augustus.

“Maxentius, the son of Maximian, was angered that he was passed over and declared himself Augustus. He defeated the Severus and Galerius, the Augustus of the East, in 306 and 307. In 311, Maxentius declared war on Constantine, the greatest threat to his power.

“In the spring of 312, Constantine led his army toward Maxentius in in Rome. After routing Maxentius’ forces in northern Italy, Constantine approached Rome in October.

“According to legend, on Oct. 27, the day before the two armies would battle outside of Rome near the Milvian Bridge, Constantine had a vision instructing him to fight in the name of Christ, with his soldiers’ shields bearing the symbol of Christ. The symbol was either a cross or the labarum, an intersection of the chi (X) and rho (P), the [supposed] letters of Christ.

“Christian author Lactantius, writing several years after the battle, described, ‘Constantine was directed in a dream to cause the heavenly sign to be delineated on the shields of his soldiers, and so to proceed to battle. He did as he had been commanded, and he marked on their shields the letter Χ, with a perpendicular line drawn through it and turned round thus at the top, being the cipher of Christ. Having this sign (ΧР), his troops stood to arms.’

“The author Eusebius, a Constantine apologist, also described the event in Life of Constantine, which he wrote after Constantine’s death in 337. According to Eusebius, Constantine saw a vision of a cross rather than the letters of Christ.

“‘He saw with his own eyes the trophy of a cross of light in the heavens, above the sun, and bearing the inscription, CONQUER BY THIS. At this sight he himself was struck with amazement, and his whole army also, which followed him on this expedition, and witnessed the miracle,’ wrote Eusebius.

“The following day, Constantine’s outnumbered forces defeated Maxentius’ forces, which tried to retreat over the Tiber River on a pontoon bridge. In the chaos of the retreat, the bridge collapsed, leaving only the too-narrow Milvian Bridge as a route to escape. Maxentius and many of his men would drown or be trampled to death in the escape. Constantine rode into Rome with the head of Maxentius.

“’There, at around the age of twenty-four, Constantine was hailed as emperor, of the western half of the empire,’ writes historian Frank E. Smitha. “He was hailed as a man of boldness and a man favored and guided by the gods.”

In commenting on this event in Constantine’s life, Alexander Hislop writes:

“…I am not without my suspicions that the X may have been intended to have one meaning to the Christians and another to the Pagans. It is certain that the X was the symbol of the god Ham in Egypt, and as such was exhibited on the breast of his image. Whichever view be taken, however, of Constantine’s sincerity, the supposed Divine warrant for reverencing the sign of the cross entirely falls to the ground…

“In this view, therefore, it [the cross or Tau] had no very great attraction for the Pagans, who, even in worshipping Horus, had always been accustomed to make use of the mystic Tau or cross, as the ‘sign of life,’ or the magical charm that secured all that was good, and warded off everything that was evil. When, therefore, multitudes of the Pagans, on the [so-called] conversion of Constantine, flocked into the [Roman] Church, like the semi-Pagans of Egypt, they brought along with them their predilection for the old symbol. The consequence was, that in no great length of time, as apostasy proceeded…the Tau, the sign of the cross, the indisputable sign of Tammuz, the false Messiah, was everywhere substituted in its stead” (The Two Babylons, pp. 204-205).

The pagan “cross” sign or symbol is the MARK OF CAIN!

Those who go about using this sign identify themselves as followers of the “WAY OF CAIN,” and the RELIGION BEGUN BY CAIN!

Hislop continues: “…there seems no reason to doubt that that Maltese cross is an express symbol of the sun; for Layard found it as a sacred symbol in Nineveh in such a connection as led him to identify it with the sun. The mystic Tau, as the symbol of the great divinity, was called ‘the sign of life;’ it was used as an AMULET OVER THE HEART; it was marked on the official garments of the priests of Rome; it was borne by kings in their hand, as a token of their dignity or divinely-conferred authority” (ibid., p.198).

The Vestal virgins of Pagan Rome used it suspended from their necklaces, even as Catholic nuns do now. The ancient Egyptians did the same, as Egyptian monuments show. Wilkinson in his work on the Egyptians (The Ancient Egyptians: Their Life and Customs) notes that it was already in use as early as the fifteenth century before the Christian era (Crescent Books, New York, NY 1988, Vol. 1, p. 277).

Says Hislop:

“There is hardly a Pagan tribe where the cross has not been found. The cross was worshipped by the Pagan Celts, long before the incarnation and death of Christ….It was worshipped in Mexico for ages before the Roman Catholic missionaries set foot there, large stone crosses being erected, probably to the ‘god of rain.’ The cross thus widely worshipped, or regarded as a sacred emblem, was the unequivocal symbol of Bacchus, the Babylonian Messiah, for he was represented with a head-band covered with crosses. This symbol of the Babylonian god is reverenced at this day in all the wild wastes of Tartary, where Buddhism prevails, and the way in which it is represented among them forms a striking commentary on the language applied by Rome to the Cross” (The Two Babylons, p. 199).

How did the cross get into the visible “Christian” church? Hislop relates, “Now this Pagan symbol seems first to have crept into the Christian Church in EGYPT, and generally into Africa. A statement of Tertullian, about the middle of the third century, shows how much, by that time, the Church of Carthage was infected with the old leaven. Egypt, especially, which was never thoroughly evangelized, appears to have taken the lead in bringing in this Pagan symbol” (ibid., p. 201).

Says Ralph Woodrow, in Babylon Mystery Religion, “It was not until Christianity began to be paganized that the cross came to be thought of as a Christian symbol. It was in 431 A.D. that crosses in churches and chambers were introduced, while the use of crosses on steeples did not come until about 586 A.D. In the sixth century, the crucifix image was introduced and its worship sanctioned by the church of Rome. It was not until the second council at Ephesus that private homes were required to possess a cross” (Ralph Woodrow, Riverside, CA 1982, p. 50).

Woodrow points out that long before the Messiah, the cross was a widely used religious symbol not only in Babylon and Egypt, but also in China, where it was used on pagodas, in northern and southern India, among both Buddhists and Hindus, in Ethiopia, and in Mexico, among the Aztecs.

The ancient Mexicans worshipped the cross as “Tota,” or “Our Father.” But the Word of YAHUAH ELOHIYM condemns calling a stock of wood “My father” (see Jeremiah 2:27).

The cross, as an instrument of death and crucifixion, is also of remote antiquity, and pagan. The cross was used in this way by the ancient Assyrians, Egyptians, Persians, in Palestine, Carthage, Greece, and by the Romans. Tradition says the originator of this form of execution was none other than Semiramis, the apostate-prostitute wife of Nimrod, shortly after the Flood!

However Nancy L. Kuehl notes in her work, A Book of Evidence: The Trials and Execution of Jesus, that the Messiah was not nailed to a cross or Tau, but to a living tree — notice!

“Whatever one believes, we must believe Jesus was hanged alive on a living tree. The evidence is overwhelming. From the New Covenant, we have several references to it. Never is the word xulon translated as the ‘cross.’ The word for ‘cross’ would have been stauros, and even then the Greek word only reflects the upright nature of the tree! The word xulon, however, is the same that Luke uses in 23:31 for ‘moist wood’ and refers to a living tree! The Hebrew equivalent would be the ‘ets (derived from ‘atsah), which is also used as a term for ‘gallows’ in the book of Esther where Haman is ‘hanged’ (Esth. 5:14; 8:7). It is the same word used in Genesis 40:19 and Deuteronomy 21:22 to describe the hanging of an individual on a ‘tree.’

“These ‘gallows’ DO NOT refer to a Roman cross. The word is even used to describe the fruit trees of the Garden of Eden, including the Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. In the New Covenant, the disciples were QUITE CLEAR about how Jesus was hanged [crucified], and it wasn’t upon a Roman cross. The disciples, in fact, confronted the Jewish judicial Sanhedrin later that decade with the ultimate accusation that they had hanged [crucified] Jesus upon a ‘living’ tree” (Resource Publications, Eugene, OR 2013, p.199).

Doesn’t it make sense, then, that the “cross” was the literal “mark of Cain”? 

It was his own personal “amulet” of protection; he began to view with with superstitious regard and reverence. And it became the symbol of his way — his religious institution — his mystery religious system.

Jesus Name – The Mask of Tammuz 

Acts 4:12 states that there is no other name given whereby we must be saved.

Some versions today of the New Testament give the name ‘Jesus’ as being the name of Salvation, while others state it is YAHUSHA. Old Testament scriptures say YAHUAH is the Savior and none other. Since Revelation 14:1; 9:4 and 7:3 all reveal that believers will have the Father’s name in their forehead, the former versions contradict each other. If there is only one name given, the Scriptures must agree so as to discern the truth. These names must be tested and researched to prove or disprove their authenticity. YAHUAH has already been scrutinized and found to stand, so what are the origins of the other names we’ve mistakenly been given by translators.

We know from early manuscripts of the New Testament that the name ‘Jesus’ was not the chosen name of the Messiah. 

This is backed up by Old Testament Scriptures and discrepancies in Greek New Testament writings. Never once in all the books before the Messiah came was there a ‘Jesus’ prophesied to come in the flesh. On the contrary, they state that the covenant ELOHIYM (God) whom the Hebrews worshipped (mentioned over 6,800 times) would become flesh and dwell among them ( Jn. 1:14; Phil. 2:6-8). The Messiah said, “I am come in my Father’s name and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.” John 5:43. What is behind this name people have received instead of the true name?

The research begins by looking up the name ‘Jesus’. All concordances and dictionaries list it to be a Greek version of Joshua, pronounced originally as YAHUSHA, then refers the reader to Jeshu (3442). Hebrew sometimes is transliterated into English in different ways. The Holmans Dictionary lists Joshua, Jeush and Jeshu as All being translated into ‘Jesus’, which accounts for having the name ‘Jesus’ for Joshua in Hebrews 4:8 and Acts 7:45, KJV. To understand why all the names relate to Jeshu, it’s important now to look at how scroll writing practices were influenced around the time of the Messiah.

Many early copies of the New Testament abbreviate sacred words. Abbreviations of these words were formed by writing the first and last letters and placing a line over them. Using our English to illustrate, God would appear as GD and Lord would appear as LD. The attempt to differentiate and dignify the sacred name of God goes back to pre-messianic times, first done by Jews.

From the Dead Sea Scrolls we know that Jewish scribes often distinguished the name YAHUAH, (YHWH/YHUH is known as the tetragrammaton and is recognized in every place where ‘LORD’ or ‘GOD’ has been substituted). Frequently, the scribes who wrote the Dead Sea Scrolls would write the Tetragrammaton in old Paleo-Hebrew script, although the scroll was otherwise written in square Aramaic script. An example is the Habakkuk commentary found in cave one, which uses the tetragrammaton only in Scriptural quotations. Whenever reference is made to God in the commentary portion, the generic word ‘El’ (God) is used. This is true in other Qumran (Dead Sea Scroll) documents as well.

The Qumran covenanters had other crafty devices for circumventing the use of God’s name. Sometimes they would write four or five dots in place of the Tetragrammaton. In their Community Rule for example, the writer quotes Isaiah 40:3 as follows: “Prepare in the wilderness the way of . . . .”. We know from the Mesoretic text that the four dots stand for the Tetragrammaton, YHWH/YHUH. This same passage is quoted again in a document discovered in Qumran cave four (4 Q Tanhumim) with four dots representing the divine name. At times, dots were placed above the Tetragrammaton when it had been written by mistake, apparently as a means of canceling the word without actually erasing it or giving it the appearance of being a different word altogether.

The people in the Qumran community were Jews, belonging to the Essene group, one of four major Jewish religious movements described by the first century A.D. Historian, Josephus. They lived apart from other Jews in a strictly disciplined group and copied and composed the writings mostly around the time of the Messiah. You have to wonder what influenced this small community of Jewish people to disguise YHWH’s name in this way. If they lived secluded, who were they hiding the name from? Perhaps a look at the Sanhedrin law will shed light on this question and the beginning of the plot to cover up the Messiah’s name.

The Sanhedrin Council was the highest Jewish council in the first century. It had authority over the Jews and was made up of Pharisees and Sadducees, two of the major religious sects. The word Sanhedrin is usually brought into the English translation as ‘council’, and is presided over by the high priest. At times, the words ‘chief priests’ refer to the action of the Sanhedrin, though the name of the council itself is not used. Keep in mind, this is the same council who accused the Savior of blasphemy. This accusation stemmed from a Sanhedrin law; Mishna Sanhedrin VII, 5. It reads: ‘The blasphemer only incurs guilt if he utters the secret name of God..when this sentence is pronounced.. the judges arise and rend their garments and never again sew up the torn parts’. In order for them to accuse the Messiah, He had to proclaim to be YAHUAH (their ELOHIYM/God) and to speak the name (their rendition of misuse or blasphemy). In Mark 14:63, the high priest rent his clothing according to this law. Stephen was stoned for mention of YAHUSAH being the Messiah and the council persecuted Peter and John demanding they not continue in this name. Perhaps fear of the great number of followers such a short time after Pentecost persuaded the religious leaders to refrain from sentencing them. The noted miracle performed at the gate of the temple was influential in this decision as well ( Acts 4). Remember, some of the elders believed, but would not confess ( John 12:42).

Another Sanhedrin law, and yet the most significant, is that of a later origin than the last mention. A law was established concerning the blotting out of YAHUAH’s name. With more miracles and conversions attributed to the doctrine of the apostles, the angry and jealous rulers of the council put into effect their law which read ‘..may his name and memory be blotted out.’ This coincides with Galatians 3:13, “..cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree.” Part of being cursed involved the loss of their land and belongings. Sometimes their whole family was destroyed so their name would be wiped off the earth (blotted out). It was unlawful to speak the name of the cursed person so that even the memory of the person was quickly blotted out.

Since the Semitic languages have the ability to convey abundant meaning through very few words, only three words are needed to write the entire law (curse) mentioned above. The Hebrew reads right to left and appears:

In English, it reads Yimmach Shmo W’zikro.

It was common place then (illustrated by the Qumran scrolls and many texts), as it is today, to use abbreviations (or an acrostic) for a sentence or phrase. An acrostic is a series of lines, usually the first in each line, to form a name or message. Examples of acrostics are ‘24-7’, being 24 hours, 7 days a week or NASA, National Aeronautics and Space Administration. The acrostic for the curse would be:

Y SH W. Hebrew had no vowels, so they are implied when pronouncing the word. The outcome is YeSHuW (remember Jeshu).

Though the true believers were not afraid to use the name of YHWH when speaking of the Messiah, the rest of Israel appeared to use the acrostic Yashuw, in keeping with the law. By not referring to the man claiming to be YAHUAH, they helped to blot His name out. The scribes, as was required by law, changed the name in secular and sacred writings so that no account in history remained. This would imply that the man YAHUAH, Messiah, became a curse and was referred to as YAHUSHA. Several references confirm that the name Jeshu (Yeshu) is used in Jewish literature only of persons who were despised for one reason or another. They are referred to simply as ‘cursed’! It is an acrostic that everyone at the time understood. This law would explain the intertwined uses of the name Joshua and Jesus in Acts 7:45 and Heb. 4:8 (KJV, NIV). The Strongs Concordance and Holman’s Dictionary both give reference to this as being one of the origins of the name ‘Jesus’.

Moving from the Hebrew culture to Greek, look at the structure of the language. Greek is a more highly inflected (look this word up) language than English. The stems, or roots of words are modified (altered) by addition of prefixes, by the changing of the ending of words and by the insertion of a letter or letters in the midst of words. Once the Jews came under Greek influence, there is noted this tendency to replace or translate Jewish names to similar sounding Greek names, thus giving the Jewish names more characteristics of the Greek culture. The formation of  (IESOUS) pronounced Yesus, for  (YSHW) is centuries older than the Christian period. IESO (without the popular Greek ending ‘us’ added to most masculine names) is the male form of IASO, the goddess of ‘salvation’! Sound familiar? IESO is pronounced Yesu (like Yeshu) except without the ‘h’ since the Greek language has no ‘h’ sound in its alphabet. The ‘I’ is equivalent to the Hebrew letter called Yod, both sharing the ‘y’ sound as in yell. Early Christianity simply adopts the current Greek form of the Hebrew names quite naturally, after the manner of small Hellenizing groups. This practice is found twice in the records of Apollonopolis Magna and twice in the LXX translations where other manuscripts use Hebrew.

In fact, many Hebrew names were changed by adding the ‘us’ ending as a sign of adopting the Greek culture. Even the famous Jewish historian originally known as Joseph became Flavious Josephus after accepting Roman citizenship. The KJ Edition translation in 1611 listed the pagan god IESO with the common ‘us’ ending as the Saviors name. It did not even have the name ‘Jesus’ in it!

The letter ‘J’, according to Marriam Webster did not exist until after the mid 1600’s. It is derived from the Greek ‘I’ and the Hebrew ‘Y’. The tail added to the ‘I’ was done first for decoration purposes at the beginning of sentences but still not pronounced as the ‘J’ is now. Later, after the invention of the printing press, the letter ‘J’ gradually acquired its own sound through French influence. The name ‘Jesus’, instead of IESUS, arrived on the scene in more recently printed, revised editions of the KJ Bible.

Other events influenced the formation of this pagan name as well. The IES (from IESO), a name or title for the Roman god Bakkhos (Baccus), ‘the living one’, is translated to IHS in Latin. The Greek, unlike the English alphabet uses the symbol ‘H’ to represent the long vowel ‘E’ sound, as in me, turning IES into IHS. The three letters IHS were used as initials for IESOUS, later written ‘JESUS’.

In Latin manuscripts of the fourth centuries, the letters IHS were retained for the Messianic name. Medieval Latin texts, 700-1500 AD, have commonly inc or ihs for Iesus, Iesu or Jesus. According to the Catholic Encyclopedia, these abbreviations were in later times often erroneously expanded as Ihesus. Most religious and secular encyclopedias and dictionaries state that Baccus was, in Roman mythology, the son of Jupiter. To the Greeks, he was known as Dionysus, the god of fertility, the son of Zeus. His worshippers tore apart a live animal, ate his flesh and drank his blood. Participants believed they were taking part in Dionysus’ (a.k.a. Baccus’) blood and body. He was said to have healed the sick, done miracles, turned water left at his temple into wine and walked on water to rescue his believers. Being the winter born child, he was concealed from evil powers seeking his life. At the winter equinox, Christmas, his devotees carried a babe in procession like the Roman Catholics at Bethlehem do today. He died, visited Hades and rose again. It is not remarkable then that his Greek symbols IHS or IES came to be applied to the Messiah.

The IHS, a monogram for the name ‘Jesus’, often occurs in religious art and in stained glass windows. It serves as a symbol for the sign Constantine supposedly saw before he attacked the Roman army over the throne of Caesar. Constantine is said to have adopted the cross as his insignia after seeing a cross and the legend ‘In Hoc Signo Vinces’ (IHS), meaning ‘in this sign conquer’ in the sky. The initials IHS are traditionally rendered Iesus Hominum Salvator, translated to mean Iesus, salvation of men.

The Babylonian religion also knows Baccus but under the name Tammuz ( Ezek. 8:14). Tammuz and his mother Cimmaramus were worshipped as a mother holding her infant child. He was conceived, supposedly by a visitation from Cimmaramus’ dead husband, making his a spiritual, miraculous birth. In Rome, Tammuz was referred to as Jupiter, the same god Barnabas was thought to be in Acts 14:12, because of the miracle Paul performed in Lystra. This son, Tammuz worshipped in his mother’s arms was looked upon as invested with all the attributes and called by almost all the names of the promised Messiah. As YHWH in the Old Testament was called Adonai, so Tammuz was called Adon or Adonis. Under the Mithras, he was worshipped as the ‘Mediator’. As Mediator and head of the covenant of grace, he was styled Baal-Berith, ‘Lord of the Covenant’. In this character, he is represented in Persian monuments as seated on the rainbow, the well-known symbol of the covenant. In India, under the name Vishnu, the preserver or savior of men. Though a god, he was worshipped as the great ‘victim man’, who before the worlds were, because there was nothing else to offer, offered himself as a sacrifice.

If further proof is necessary, there are a few significant finds. One such notation is a Hebrew and Latin Jonah Version (1668) of the Gospel According to Luke. This book, in the Hebrew section, reveals the Tetragrammaton in its original place instead of the pagan name ‘Jesus’ in chapter 2, verse 21. The Tetragrammaton also appears in its rightful place instead of ‘LORD’ multiple times. In recent years scholars have claimed that Matthews gospel account was at first written in Hebrew. It is contended that Matthew and the early Christians produced this account to become the last book of the canon, of the Hebrew Scriptures, as the Greek scriptures had not been completed. There is evidence that various recensions of the Hebrew and Aramaic versions of Matthew’s account persisted for centuries among early Jewish Christian communities of Palestine and Syria. Early writers such as Papias, Justin Martyr, Tatian, Pantaenun, Clement of Alexandria, Pamphilus, Jerome and many others give evidence that they possessed or had access to Hebrew and Aramaic writings of Matthew. Jerome of the fourth century said he personally saw the volume and copied it (which was allowed by the Nazarenes in the Syrian city of Beroea) and that the manuscript was preserved in the library at Caesarea which the martyr Pamphilis diligently collected. He goes on to state that it contained the divine name after the manner of the Hebrew, not the LXX.

Furthermore, in the Jonah version mentioned earlier, the Latin section gives the word ‘Domini’ in the place YHWH originally was and later read ‘LORD’. It is more than interesting to note that ‘Domini’ is from ‘Domino’ meaning ‘to mask’ or ‘to cover up’. The term used as AD (Anno Domini) would read, ‘year of the mask’ instead of ‘year of our Lord’. The phrase seen earlier, ‘Iesu Hominum Salvator’ (IHS) produces a notable find as well. The root word, or prefix, ‘Homo’ from Greek origins means ‘same’ or ‘like’, thus the phrase reads ‘Jesus is like (or the same as) the savior of men’.

These are not just coincidences. Lucifer, who was made in all wisdom, has wanted to be the same as YAHUAH, wanting the praise of men from the beginning. He has worked very hard through every culture to deceive, if it were possible, the very elect ( Matt. 24:24, Rev. 13:14). It would appear he has done an excellent job, but YAHUAH said, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me,” John 10:27.

Can it be denied? This name, Jesus, is tied into paganism in so many realms it is hard to give any credibility to the possibility of its being authentic! Knowing there is only one name given, and that name is YAHUAH, you have a decision to make. You can only walk in the light when it has been revealed to you. Great light has come unto you, will you prefer light rather than darkness? The word tells us to “study to shew thyself approved unto YAHUAH, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” ( 2 Timithy 2:15). The information is available. “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you,” ( Matthew 7:7).

Paradise Lost

These days there seems to be a lot of confusion, conjecture, fictional theories, and downright foolishness concerning the whereabouts of the Garden of Eden. What happened to that awesome Garden after Adam and Eve rebelled and received their eviction notice demanding they leave their one time home post-haste? Was it destroyed by the Flood of Noah’s time? Was it just simply eliminated by YAHUAH? Where has it gone, this Garden of YAHUAH? 

“And YAHUAH ELOHIYM planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.” Genesis 2:8. Planted in the Hebrew is “nata” and it means to establish. We see from the scripture verse above that YAHUAH planted (established) this Garden in Eden (Eden, by the way, means pleasure) and then after creating Adam, placed him in his new habitat. “And YAHUAH ELOHIYM took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.”

Genesis 2:15. Adam was created from the dust of the earth, and then he was transported to a location more befitting his newly created life. Adam was given an awesome responsibility in this newly established habitat, which was to keep the garden beautiful (dress it). But none of these verses tell us precisely where Eden was. So, just where is this garden of YAHUAH? 

After their rebellion and subsequent fall, Adam and his wife were given an eviction notice. Suddenly we see our antediluvian parents being banished from the Garden of Eden. That banishment included a new life in another location apart from the Garden of Eden, a life that would be consumed with hard physical labor, undoubtedly coupled with a deep sense of guilt, shame, and misery for them both.

“Therefore YAHUAH ELOHIYM sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.” Genesis 3:23. YAHUAH sent Adam (and Eve) out of the Garden and back to the land and ground from which he was created. So here we see that YAHUAH speaks of two distinct locations. The ground that He used to create Adam was distinctly different than the surroundings in the Garden of Eden, the perfect environment for YAHUAH’s new creation. We know where the “ground” is, it’s the earth where we all live today. But where is that elusive Garden? 

“So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.” Genesis 3:24. The word “ke(ruwb (Cherub) in the Hebrew, used in the above verse, can denote one Cherub or a number of Cherubim. The translators of the King James Version of the Bible translated “ke(ruwb” into English as Cherubims which doesn’t really make sense. The plural of cherub is cherubim. There is no need for an “s” at the end as we see rendered in English in the above verse. In this case YAHUAH placed a Cherub (ke(ruwb) at the east of the Garden of Eden to keep the way of the tree of life. As we look further into the Hebrew words we find that YAHUAH placed just one angelic sword there with the Cherub, this would further indicate the presence of just one Cherub. 

Was this precaution to keep Adam and his descendents out of the Garden of Eden? Not hardly. Angels are very powerful and cherubim are even more so. One angel would have been over-kill to keep mankind out of YAHUAH’s Garden. 

Here’s a little tidbit of information for those of you who are not familiar with the power of angels. “And it came to pass that night, that the angel of YAHUAH went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.” 2 Kings 19:35. One angel in one night slew 185,000 Assyrians; they are much more powerful than humans. 

If we humans were being kept from the Garden we would be able to see it and the Cherub wielding his flaming sword. So, where is that Garden?

Consider this. The Garden of Eden does not exist in the dimension in which we live and the Cherub is not guarding against humans, but guarding against supernatural beings bent on wickedness who desperately want access to the tree of life. The flaming sword (angelic sword in the Hebrew) that turned every way indicates a supernatural barrier. Therefore there would be no “earthly” reason for guarding the entrance to the Garden of Eden against unlawful entry by mankind. It’s a physical impossibility for mortal humans “in the flesh” to see it, let alone enter the Garden of Eden (Paradise). 

That Cherub is there explicitly to keep supernatural malevolent beings from entering and being mischievous. But why? I’m going to answer that question with a bit of conjecture on my part, but it’s a logical conclusion. YAHUAH told Satan and his hoard of fallen angels that there would be a fight between two distinct seeds (“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” Genesis 3:15). The hostility YAHUAH is speaking about is between YAHUSHA HA’MASHIACH (the seed of the women) and Satan’s seed. This proclamation caused Satan to realize that if he was to survive it was up to him to disrupt YAHUAH’s plan of the redemption of mankind. If Satan had been allowed to enter the Garden of Eden again; and more specifically to gain access to the “tree of life,” that access could have greatly contributed to his agenda of disrupting YAHUAH’s plan to restore the broken relationship between Him and man. Obviously YAHUAH had no intention of allowing Satan any latitude in this area again, hence the Cherub and his sword. The Garden of Eden/Paradise is of another dimension where the faithful go when they die. Therefore Satan and his cohorts had to have been denied any access to that dimension without exception. 

“And YAHUAH ELOHIYM said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:” Genesis 3:23. The above verse explains why YAHUAH, being fully aware of Satan’s plan, had no choice but to guard the entrance to the Garden of Eden. Otherwise man, by way of Satan and his malevolent hoard of fallen angels, would have become as corrupt as those wicked supernatural beings, but with one added detriment for mankind. With access to the properties of that “Tree of Life”, man would have been immortal just like those malevolent supernatural beings and just as bent on corruption, shades of Genesis chapter 6 occurring over and over again. 

The only way we humans can live forever is to shed these mortal vessels we refer to as bodies. Basically we must die to live. “So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.” 1 Corinthians 15:54. It was Messiah’s victory over death and over Satan that gives humanity the only way of by-passing eternal damnation. Not at all the way Satan would have preferred things to have turned out. But hey, there it is. YAHUAH is faithful! We can depend on YAHUAH’s plans as always being perfect.

“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the assemblies; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of YAHUAH.” Revelation 2:7. YAHUSHA’ own words tell us where the tree of life can be found, it’s in the midst of Paradise. And those who overcome will be given access to that tree. Certainly the probability of Paradise and the Garden of Eden being the same location is very great indeed since from the beginning the “tree of life” was “established” as one of the trees in the Garden of Eden. We either have two names for the same location, The Garden of Eden/Paradise, or someone dug up the “tree of life” and replanted it in another location. 

“And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom:” Luke 16:22. Abraham’s bosom is a reference to Paradise. On the day Messiah was impealed there were two others suspended on their own stakes. One recognized who YAHUSHA was and asked to be remembered. He is now in paradise with the rest of the believers. “And YAHUSHA said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:43. Paradise is the location where the Apostle Paul tells us he went when he was raptured (caught up, Harpazo- in the Greek). “How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.” 2 Corinthians 12:4. When the saints are finally caught up we too will be with YAHUAH in Paradise (the Garden of Eden). If I’m correct in my theory about the Garden of Eden and Paradise being the same location, then the Garden of Eden has moved. “Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.” Ephesians 4:8. Now we see Paradise has been moved to a new location, it has ascended up on high. 

So, the Garden of Eden is still very real, it’s just not visible to those still living on earth. Paradise is also very real because both locations are one and the same, and YAHUAH confirms this by referring to the “tree of life” and it’s location as being both in the Garden and in Paradise. It’s a place that is completely off limits to any form of evil. It can’t be described with human words. It’s a dimension that will never be seen by the damned. It belongs to YAHUAH and the redeemed. 

“We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with YAHUAH.” 2 Corinthians 5:8. Everyone who has died with their faith firmly established in the Son of YAHUAH is now occupying that Garden/Paradise. They now know without any doubt that Paradise was never lost, only man. Paradise awaits each of us who’ve placed our faith and trust in the One who designed and created it, our Master and Savior YAHUSHA HA’MASHIACH. The alternative to Paradise has never moved; it’s exactly where it was when Abraham had the discussion with the rich man in Luke chapter 16 verses 19 through 31. By the way, that discourse was not a parable but a true account. 

The Creator of all dimensions (YAHUSHA HA’MASHIACH) has a special dimension fully established, which currently houses multitudes of YAHUAH’s children. In contrast to that beautiful, awesome Garden (Paradise) is a location which is the most unpleasant of habitations, and that is a gross understatement. It currently awaits all the Messiah-rejecters who have made it plain they want nothing to do with YAHUAH. Two distinct and completely dissimilar eternal locations are in view as we live our lives out on planet earth. Paradise and Hell, both equally real. Paradise is the place where the living, continue living forever. Hell is the place where the dead continue dying forever. Deciding on which location you prefer doesn’t take a lot of intellectual prowess. It’s a simple choice. Which place is yours?

The Mark of Cain?

Cain began a society in opposition to the laws of YAHUAH ELOHIYM, a world system which continues to our day, today. Just what is the “way of Cain”? You need to understand the answer — and act on the truth!

Just what is the “mark of Cain”? And why does the Scripture condemn in no uncertain terms the “way of Cain”? There is far more behind this Biblical narrative than most people have assumed. It directly involves your own personal life and future — whether you know it or not!

In the book of Genesis we read the simple account.

“Adam lay with his wife Eve, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain. She said, ‘With the help of YAHUAH I have brought forth a man.’ Later she gave birth to his brother Abel.

“Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil. In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to YAHUAH. But Abel brought fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. YAHUAH looked with favor on Abel and his offering. But on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.

“The YAUAH said to Cain, ‘Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it.'”

Cain and Abel

“Now Cain said to his brother Abel, ‘Let’s go out to the field.’ And while they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.

• “Then  YAHUAH said to Cain, ‘Where is your brother Abel?’ 

• “‘I don’t know,’ he replied. ‘Am I my brother’s keeper?’
• 
  

“YAHUAH said, ‘What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground. Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. When you work the ground, it will no longer yield its crops for you. You will be a restless wanderer on the earth.’

“Cain said to YAHUAH, ‘My punishment is greater than I can bear. Today you are driving me from the land, and I will be hidden from your presence; I will be a restless wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.’

“But YAHUAH said to him, ‘Not so; if anyone kills Cain, he will suffer vengeance seven times over. Then YAHUAH put a mark on Cain so that no one who found him would kill him. So Cain went out from YAHUAH’s presence and lived in the land of Nod east of Eden” (Genesis 4:1-16).

The Lesson of Cain

Why is this historical story mentioned in the Scriptures? Why does the Word of YAHUAH ELOHIYM spend so much time on what some might regard as “just one murder”? Surely, our modern world sees thousands of murders every year — and if you count the numbers killed in war, millions of victims are claimed every century!

There is much more to the story of Cain and Abel than you probably think!

Josephus, the eminent Judahite historian of the first century, gives us much greater insight into this matter. In his Antiquities of the Jews he records:

“Adam and Eve had two sons. The elder of them was named Cain, which name, when it is interpreted, signifies a possession; the younger was Abel, which signifies sorrow. They had also daughters. Now, the two brothers were pleased with different courses of life; for Abel, the younger, was a lover of righteousness, and, believing that YAHUAH was present at all his actions, he excelled in virtue, and his employment was that of a shepherd. But Cain was not only very wicked in other respects, but was WHOLLY INTENT UPON GETTING [possessing], and he first contrived to plough the ground.

“He slew his brother on the occasion following: — They had resolved to sacrifice to YAHUAH. Now Cain brought the fruits of the earth, and of his husbandry; but Abel brought milk, and the first-fruits of his flocks; but YAHUAH was more delighted with the latter oblation, when he was honored with what grew naturally of its own accord, than he was with what was the invention of a covetous man, and gotten by forcing the ground; whence it was that Cain was very angry that Abel was preferred by YAHUAH before him; and he slew his brother, and hid his dead body, thinking to escape discovery.

“But YAHUAH, knowing what had been done, came to Cain, and asked him what was become of his brother, because he had not seen him of many days, whereas he used to observe them conversing together at other times. But Cain was in doubt with himself, and knew not what answer to give to YAHUAH. At first he said that he was himself at a loss about his brother’s disappearance; but when he was provoked by YAHUAH, who pressed him vehemently, as resolving to know what the matter was, he replied he was not his brother’s guardian or keeper, nor was he an observer of what he did.

“But in return, YAHUAH convicted Cain as having been the murderer of his brother; and said, “I wonder at thee, that thou knowest not what is become of a man whom thou thyself hast destroyed.’ YAHUAH therefore did not inflict the punishment [of death] upon him, on account of his offering sacrifice, and thereby making supplication to Him not to be extreme in His wrath to him; but He made him accursed, and threatened his posterity in the seventh generation.

“He also cast him, together with his wife, out of that land. And when he was afraid that in wandering about he should fall among wild beasts, and by that means perish, YAHUAH bid him not to entertain such a melancholy suspicion, and to go over all the earth without fear of what mischief he might suffer from wild beasts; and setting a mark upon him that he might be known, he commanded him to depart” (Ant., I, 2, 1).

Josephus goes on to tell us that after Cain travelled over many countries, he, “with his wife, built a city, named Nod, which is a place so called, and there he settled his abode; where also he had children. However, he did not accept his punishment in order to amendment, but to increase his wickedness; for he only aimed to procure everything that was for his own bodily pleasure, though it obliged him to be injurious to his neighbors. He augmented his household substance with much wealth, by rapine and violence; he excited his acquaintance to procure pleasures and spoils by robbery, and became a GREAT LEADER OF MEN INTO WICKED COURSES.

“He also introduced a change in that way of simplicity wherein men lived before; and was the author of measures and weights. And whereas they lived innocently and generously while they knew nothing of such arts, HE CHANGED THE WORLD INTO CUNNING CRAFTINESS. He first of all set boundaries about lands; he built a city, and fortified it with walls, and he compelled his family to come together to it; and called that city Enoch, after the name of his eldest son Enoch.”

By the fifth generation after Cain, his great-great grandson Lamech had three notable sons — Jabal, who erected tents and loved the life of a shepherd; Jubal, his brother, who loved music, and invented the psaltery and harp. His name probably is that from which came “jobel,” the trumpet of jobel or jubilee. His half-brother was Tubal, who “exceeded all men in strength, and was very expert and famous in martial performances. He procured what tended to the pleasures of the body by that method [war]; and first of all invented the art of making brass.”

Lamech, his father, was “so skillful in matters of divine revelation” — probably consulted demons through witchcraft, the occult, and pagan methods of divination — “that he knew he was to be punished for Cain’s murder of his brother, he made that known to his wives. Nay, even while Adam was alive, it came to pass that the posterity of Cain became exceedingly wicked, every one successively dying one after another, more wicked than the former. They were intolerable in war, and vehement in robberies; and if any one were slow to murder people, yet was he bold in his profligate behavior, in acting unjustly, and doing injury for gain.”

Thus, when we combine the Biblical account, with the account of Josephus, we find that Cain was the first man to build cities, and to place people inside them — obviously so he could more easily “control” them. He became the world’s first “tyrant.” He was the first political dictator, and founded a society in distinct rebellion against the laws of YAHUAH ELOHIYM. Those laws meant nothing whatsoever to Cain and his followers and his children. The laws of YAHUAH ELOHIYM were considered to be for the weak and foolish, not intended for the intellectual elite of Cain and his leadership.

No doubt, also, that Cain began the world’s system of taxation, to compel those in his cities to “pay” for their city services, “protection,” and “government,” and he and his cronies and aides lived very well of the spoils of the conquests, and the “taxes” they extorted from their followers and slaves. All this, no doubt, in the “name” of Cain, the world’s first “benefactor.” Thus this whole worldly “Babylonish” system really began with none other than Cain, the son of Adam, who murdered his brother Abel out of a fit of jealous rage!

It was Cain and those following in his steps that YAHUSHA the Messiah was actually referring to when he said to his disciples: “You know that the RULERS of the Gentiles LORD IT OVER THEM, and their high officials EXERCISE AUTHORITY over them [and love to do so!]. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave — just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:25-28).

The Messiah added, “The KINGS of the Gentiles lord it over them; and those who exercise authority over them call themselves BENEFACTORS. But you are not to be like that. Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who rules like the one who serves” (Luke 22:25-26).

Cain was the first “overlord,” the first “benefactor.” No doubt that is what he claimed to be, although it was all a charade, a cover-up, a pretense. No doubt he compelled men to virtually “worship” before him, like pagan kings have done for millennia, and professed himself to be a “god.” In fact, there is evidence that he considered himself to be the “promised Messiah,” and that is one of the reasons he was so outraged when YAHUAH ELOHIYM rejected his offering, but accepted that of his “weakling” brother Abel, who did not have the sheer drive, force, and cunning that Cain did. Cain was ambitious — and he could not tolerate “loss of face” before his brother and family. He was proud, arrogant, and stubborn. He would not allow YAHUAH ELOHIYM to treat him the way he did; so he rose up and slew Abel, his “competitor” in the sight of the world. Thus he put an end to his “competition,” once and for all.

The First False Messiah

Alfred Edersheim in his Old Testament History, gives us further insight into the character of Cain. He writes:

“Of the two sons of Adam and Eve, Cain was the elder, and indeed, as we gather, the first-born of all their children.

Throughout antiquity, and in the East to this day, proper names are regarded as significant of a deeper meaning. When Eve called her first-born son Cain (‘gotten,’ or ‘acquired’), she said, ‘I have gotten a man from YAHUAH.’ Apparently, she connected the birth of her son with the IMMEDIATE FULFILLMENT OF THE PROMISE concerning the Seed, who was to bruise the head of the serpent. This expectation was, if we may be allowed the comparison, as natural on her part as that of the immediate return of our Messiah by some of the early Natsariym.

“It also showed how deeply this hope had sunk into her heart, how lively was her faith in the fulfillment of the promise, and how ardent her longing for it. But if such had been her views, they must have been speedily disappointed. Perhaps for this very reason, or else because she had been more fully informed, or on other grounds with which we are not acquainted, the other son of Adam and Eve, mentioned in Scripture, was named Abel, that is ‘breath,’ or ‘fading away'” (Vol. 1, 1890).

When YAHUAH ELOHIYM showed respect to the offering of Abel, “probably marking His acceptance by some outward and visible manifestation,” but showed no respect for Cain’s offering, Edersheim declares:

“Instead of inquiring into the reason of his rejection, and trying to have it removed, Cain now gave way to feelings of anger and jealousy. In His mercy, YAHUAH indeed brought before him his sin, warned him of its danger, and pointed out the way of escape. But Cain had chosen his course. Meeting his brother in the field, angry words led to murderous deed, and earth witnessed the first death, the more terrible that it was violent, and at a brother’s hand. Once more the voice of YAHUAH called Cain to account, and again he hardened himself, this time almost disowning the authority of YAHUAH. But the mighty hand of the Judge was on the unrepenting murderer” (ibid.)

But when Cain was banished by YAHUAH, and the ground was cursed to him, he complained that the punishment was too harsh, too severe. Still unrepentant, he professed to be fearful that someone might kill him, just as he had killed Abel. To prevent this, YAHUAH set a “mark” on Cain, setting him apart, so no one would do this.

Thus Cain was the first man in the world to DEPART from the way of the living ELOHIYM, and to literally “go his own way” instead. His way of life became synonymous, in the Scriptures, with the way of evil, the way of spiritual ruin and disaster. Cain became the first of many who would be a “son of perdition,” “son of hell,” and “son of doom.”

Rejected by YAHUAH ELOHIYM, he began HIS OWN RELIGION. Still professing to worship the “LORD,” he did so his own way, and began the practice of using manmade “idols” in human worship. The first such idols were figures of a man and female deity, no doubt representing Cain and his wife, with whom he built his first “city” and established his first “government.” The first kings of the earth were “priest-kings,” and Cain became the High Priest of his own religion. He established his own form of religious empire, with sensual, earthy services, compelling tithes to be paid by his worshippers, creating lavish “temples” with male and female prostitution, the origins of the worship of Canaanite abominations which YAHUAH ELOHIYM condemned in the time of Moses.

Cain, Eve’s firstborn, no doubt had been told many times by Eve of the “promise of her Seed” who would bruise the head of the serpent, and bring deliverance to the Adamic race that had been banished from Eden. Her stories, and the thought, fired his imagination, and he thought — in part because she also believed — that the promise referred to him, her “firstborn of many brethren.”

Was he the promised Messiah? Of course not. But he thought so. At least, he thought he should be — for he was the eldest, the strongest, the wisest and most cunning and able of the children of Adam and Eve. He was very angry and disappointed when he was not selected by YAHUAH ELOHIYM for this position of honor and glory. So, in his rebellion against YAHUAH and His laws, Cain made himself the “Messiah” of his own religion — the origin of pagan false Messiah worship before the Flood!

Pride goes before a fall, Solomon wrote, and Cain never learned the value of humility. He was the first world advocate of “self esteem,” “pride,” and “self assertion.” Not for him was the path of humility, meekness, and reverence for YAHUAH ELOHIYM. 

He would never let anybody walk over him, or take an insult, or allow anyone to besmirch his imagined “honor.” Thus in every respect Cain rejected the ways of YAHUAH, and embraced the ways of Satan the devil, who became his real “god,” and the “god of this world” (II Corinthians 4:4). He was the first, the pathfinder, of those of whom it is written:

“The wrath of YAHUAH is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who SUPPRESS THE TRUTH by their wickedness, since what may be known about YAHUAH is plain to them, because YAHUAH has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world YAHUAH’s invisible qualities — his eternal power and divine nature — have been clearly seen, being understood from what is made, so that men are WITHOUT EXCUSE.

“For although they KNEW YAHUAH, they neither glorified him as ELOHIYM nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were DARKENED. Although they claimed to be wise, they became FOOLS and exchanged the glory of the immortal ELOHIYM for IMAGES made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

“Therefore YAHUAH gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of YAUAH for a lie, and worshiped and served created things, rather than the Creator — who is forever praised. Amen.

“Because of this, YAHUAH gave them over to SHAMEFUL LUSTS. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In this same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were enflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

“Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of YAHUAH, he gave them over to a DEPRAVED MIND, to do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of ENVY, MURDER, STRIFE [just like Cain, their pathfinder and pacesetter!], DECEIT and MALICE. They are gossips, slanderers, YAH-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Although they know YAHUAH’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them” (Romans 1:18-32).

This entire passage of Scripture is discussing the WAY OF CAIN — the way this wicked world has followed to the core.

These very attributes discussed by the apostle Paul were the very things that FILLED THE WORLD prior to the Flood of Noah’s time. From the time of Cain’s original rebellion, the condition of the world continued to become more and more depraved, violent, and filled with bloodshed. Sensuality ruled the day and night. Greed, hard business competition, strife and ruthlessness ruled the cities and dominions of mankind. Robbers and thieves lurked in the highways and by-ways.

Alfred Edersheim writes: “Cain, as we know, had gone into the land of ‘Nod’ — ‘wandering,’ ‘flight,’ ‘unrest,’ — and there built a city, which has been aptly described as the LAYING OF THE FIRST FOUNDATIONS OF THAT KINGDOM in which ‘THE SPIRIT OF THE BEAST’ prevails. We must remember that probably centuries had elapsed since the creation, and that men had already multiplied on the earth” (Old Testament History, Vol. 1, 1890)

Edersheim continues:

“Beyond this settlement of Cain, nothing seems to have occurred which Scripture has deemed it necessary to record, except that the names of the ‘Cainites’ are still singularly like those of the ‘Sethites.’ Thus we follow the line of Cain’s descendants to Lamech, the fifth from Cain, when all at once the character and tendencies of that whole race appear FULLY DEVELOPED. It comes upon us, almost by surprise, that within so few generations, and in the lifetime of the first man, almost every commandment and institution of YAHUAH should already be openly set aside, and violence, lust and ungodliness prevail upon the earth” (ibid.).

The inventions and pursuits of the Cainites point to the cultivation of the “arts,” the introduction of military might and war, and a competitive business system requiring weights and measures, based on distrust — the old adage of “let the buyer beware” and “never buy a pig in a poke.” Even Jabal, Lamech’s son, who was the “father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have cattle,” actually made even the pastoral life a “regular business.” Jubal, the inventor of stringed and wind instruments, undoubtedly perverted the use of good music and introduced music much like our modern “hard rock,” and “heavy metal” music. His music had to be the kind accepted and adored by a society bent on sensuality, lust, and depravity — therefore, just like our modern wild lyrics and deafening music.

Tubal-Cain, Lamech’s son by Zillah (Lamech was the originator of polygamy, as he is noted as having two wives!), the inventor of metallurgy and processes using brass and iron to make implements, and weapons of war — all this shows that the society of Cain was a godless, wicked, wild and depraved, sensual world, which worshiped a false god, and created a false, counterfeit religion, which consulted demons through occult arts and religious rituals.

Says Edersheim of that society founded by Cain:

“Moreover, it is very remarkable that we perceive in the Cainite race those very things which afterwards formed THE CHARACTERISTICS OF HEATHENISM, as we find it among the most advanced nations of antiquity, such as Greece and ROME” (ibid.).

Thus the original rebel against YAHUAH ELOHIYM was Cain — he was the founder of the world’s BABYLON THE GREAT!

He was, therefore, the original “Beast” who thought to “change times and laws.” One suspects strongly that since Satan deceived Eve as soon as he could get to her, after that first Sabbath day, before she could get to know YAHUAH ELOHIYM through fellowship, and before she could partake of the tree of life, that he must have deceived her on the FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK!

No doubt, then, that when Cain began his own religion, which was against the laws of YAHUAH ELOHIYM, he did away with the Sabbath command of rest (Genesis 2:1-3). In its place, he inaugurated worship on the First Day of the week — in honor of the “Great Enlightener” — Satan, the god of this world — who brought “the knowledge of good and evil” to mankind — earthly wisdom. Cain’s religion, therefore, was begun in honor of Satan, the “prince of the power of the air” (Ephesians 2:2), and the original “sun god.” Cain, as his Messiah, took on the attributes of divinity, also, and came to be worshiped as the “deliverer” of mankind, who delivered them from the rulership of YAHUAH ELOHIYM, and His “evil” commandments. Cain’s wife became, therefore, the original “Queen of Heaven,” the first “Astarte,” “Ishtar,” or “Easter”!

It is interesting that soon AFTER the Flood, this ancient PAGAN religious mystery system was revived by Nimrod and Semiramis, who took these titles to themselves, and became the “Baal” and “Ishtar” of the pagan religion which spread around the world in different forms and guises, but with the same rituals and beliefs. 

Nimrod was the counterpart of Cain after the Flood. However, Nimrod was not an innovator; he merely continued to serve as “high priest” and “king” of the pagan world after the Flood, continuing an office which had come down from Cain himself, who was the first “Peter,” which by definition means “Interpreter” of the hidden secrets. Nimrod was the first “father,” or Pope, after the Flood. But the entire religious and political SYSTEM goes back much further, to Cain himself, who looked upon himself as the true “Father,” and first “Papa” or “Pope.”

Archaeology reveals that the cities of Babylon go back before the Flood of Noah’s time, and the prevalence of pre-Flood idols and idolatrous images, including sun-gods and “goddess mother” images, shows how widespread the worship begun by Cain and his wife had become.

The “way of Cain” has a powerful attraction to human nature. It gratifies the flesh, and excites the senses. It has a compelling allure to the lusts of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life (I John 2:15).

“The Way of Cain”

The next narrative in the book of Genesis tells us what happened among the sons of Adam and Eve —

“When men began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of ELOHIYM saw that the daughters of men were beautiful” (Genesis 6:1-2).

In other words, the lustful, wicked “sons of ELOHIYM”  saw that the daughters of man — the females — were beautiful, lovely-looking women. No doubt, again, that these women stressed physical beauty. They dressed themselves up to look the most alluring and provocative as they could, using all the arts and charms of feminine wiles — including powder, rouge, lipstick, eye shadow, and the like. The Scriptures inform us that Lamech’s wives were named Adah, that is, “beauty,” or “adornment,” and Zillah, meaning “the shaded” (a reference to the kind of eye shadow later made famous by Jezebel who “painted her eyes”?), and his daughter was Naamah, which means “pleasant, graceful, lovely.” For more information about this bizarre period of human history, be sure to write for or download our article, Did Angels Marry Women Before the Flood?

These women were the anti-types of the kind that Peter wrote about when he admonished Natsariym women: “Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quite spirit, which is of great worth in YAHUAH’s sight. For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in YAHUAH used to make themselves beautiful” (I Peter 3:3-5).

However, as often happens, in the course of time, the progeny of Seth saw these alluring women among the Cainites, and intermarriage became commonplace. Just as the Midianite women seduced the Yisraelites in the time of Moses, so these women seduced the righteous line of Seth, who were tempted to forget the pagan upbringing and practices of these women, and began to intermarry with them. This event led to a disastrous result. The truth of YAHUAH ELOHIYM began to die out, and wickedness became supreme in the earth. Eventually, the entire line of Seth became corrupted by the influence of the wicked daughters of Cain, and his family, and they embraced their pagan ways, violence, and vices. They forsook the ways of YAHUAH and turned to the “way of Cain.”

What was the result?

“YAHUAH saw how great man’s wickedness on the earth had become, and that EVERY INCLINATION of the thoughts of his heart was ONLY EVIL ALL THE TIME. YAHUAH was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain. So YAHUAH said, ‘I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth — men and animals and creatures that move along the ground, and birds of the air — for I am grieved that I have made them.’ But Noah found favor in the eyes of YAHUAH” (Genesis 6:5-8).

The Genesis account could not be more specific in describing a depraved and utterly corrupt and sensual world. But nevertheless, YAHUAH inspired the author to continue: “Now the earth was CORRUPT in YAHUAH’s sight and FULL OF VIOLENCE. YAHUAH saw how corrupt the earth had become, for ALL the people on the earth had corrupted their ways” — even the children of Seth by now had abandoned the principles of truth and were running rampant after the ways of Cain, greed, and selfish pleasures. “So YAHUAH said to Noah, ‘I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is FILLED WITH VIOLENCE because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth'” (Genesis 6:11-13).

That “world” was destroyed in a cataclysm of water which overflowed the whole “world” of that time. Those who followed the “way of Cain” all perished in the deluge. But today, our world has once again embraced the “way of Cain,” and once again YAHUAH ELOHIYM has said that He is going to DESTROY the society around us — this time be “flaming fire” and divine vengeance — the judgment of YAHUAH ELOHIYM which will be poured out on this earth during the soon-coming “Day of YAHUAH”! Notice what the apostle Jude had to say about it!

End-Time Rebellion

Jude declared, “For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have SECRETELY SLIPPED IN AMONG YOU [the Ecclesia of YAHUAH ELOHIYM!]. They are GODLESS MEN [yet obviously “professing” to be sincere, genuine Christian leaders and ministers!], who change the grace of our ELOHIYM into a license for immorality and deny YAHUSHA HA’MASHIACH our only Sovereign and Master.

“…these dreamers pollute their own bodies, reject authority and slander celestial beings….Yet these men speak abusively against whatever they do not understand; and what things they do understand by instinct, like unreasoning animals — these are the very things that destroy them.

“Woe to them! They have taken the WAY OF CAIN; they have rushed for profit into Balaam’s error; they have been destroyed in Korah’s rebellion.

“These men are blemishes at your love feasts, eating with you without the slightest qualm — shepherds who feed only themselves. They are clouds without rain, blown along by the wind; autumn trees, without fruit and uprooted — twice dead. They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame; wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever.

“Enoch, the seventh from Adam [who lived during the time of Lamech, descendent of Cain, and the time of great rebellion before the Flood], prophesied about these men: ‘See, YAHUAH is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones to judge everyone, and to convict all the ungodly of all the ungodly acts they have done in the ungodly way, and of all the harsh words ungodly sinners have spoken against him.’ These men are grumblers and faultfinders; they follow their own evil desires; they boast about themselves [lie about their own imagined deeds and exploits] and flatter others for their own advantage” [so they could advance in the ministry, and receive higher offices] (Jude 4-16).

What does YAHUAH ELOHIYM Almighty say about the way of Cain?

The apostle John tells us, “This is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another. Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother’s were righteous” (I John 3:11-12).

Cain, consumed by hatred, violently killed an innocent, righteous man — his own brother. He had no excuse. His anger was completely unjustified. But because his own deeds were wicked, and he knew it, in his heart he was jealous of his brother’s relationship with YAHUAH ELOHIYM, which he could not have so long as he continued in his selfish, greedy, competitive course — the way of pride, arrogance and self-will. He had no intention of giving up his selfish pleasures. Therefore he simply slew the source of his irritation, the source of his provocation — his frail, helpless brother.

The apostle Peter writes, “But there were also false prophets among the people [Cain being the first false prophet!], just as there will be false teachers among you. They will SECRETLY INTRODUCE DESTRUCTIVE HERESIES [just as Cain did for the antediluvian world], even denying the sovereign ELOHIYM who bought them — bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their GREED these teachers will EXPLOIT you with stories they have made up [including false biographical backgrounds, alleging accomplishments they never did, proclaiming themselves as “heroes” when they never fought in military action at all]. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.

“For if YAHUAH did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment; if he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people [who were following wholeheartedly the way of Cain!], but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others; if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the UNGODLY [those who choose the way of Cain instead of the way of YAHUAH ELOHIYM!]; and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the filthy lives of LAWLESS men (for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard) — if this is so, then YAHUAH knows how to rescue righteous men from trials and to hold the unrighteous for the day of judgment, while continuing their punishment. This is especially true of those who follow the corrupt desire of the sinful nature and despise authority.

“Bold and arrogant, these men are not afraid to slander celestial beings; yet even angels, although they are stronger and more powerful, do not bring slanderous accusations against such beings in the presence of YAHUAH. But these men blaspheme in matters they do not understand. They are like BRUTE BEASTS [like Cain himself, a brute beast!], creatures of instinct, born only to be caught and destroyed, and like beasts they too will perish.

“They will be paid back with harm for the harm they have done. Their idea of pleasure is to carouse in broad daylight [engage in sex parties and group sex, at sensual pleasure palaces and the like]. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their pleasures while they feast with you. With eyes FULL OF ADULTERY, they never stop sinning; they SEDUCE the unstable [young men and women]; they are EXPERTS IN GREED [know how to extort the last penny out of Church goers at holy day offering time] — an accursed brood! They have left the straight way, and wandered off [like Cain, into the “land of wandering”] to follow the way of Balaam son of Beor, who loved the wages of wickedness. But he was rebuked for his wrongdoing by a donkey — a beast without speech — who spoke with a man’s voice and restrained the prophet’s madness.

“These men are springs without water and mists driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is reserved for them. For they mouth empty, boastful words and, by appealing to the lustful desires of sinful human nature, they ENTICE people who are just escaping from those who live in error. They promise them freedom, while they themselves are SLAVES OF DEPRAVITY — for a man is slave to whatever has mastered him [like Cain himself, who did not “master” the sin which sought to control him, as YAHUAH ELOHIYM urged him to do].

“If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Master  and Saviour YAHUSHA HA’MASHIACH and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than at the beginning. It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have KNOWN it and then to TURN THEIR BACKS on the sacred command that was passed on to them. Of them the proverbs are true: ‘A dog returns to its vomit,’ and, ‘A sow that is washed goes back to her wallowing in the mud'” (II Peter 2:1-22).

The attitude of Cain was described by Paul when he wrote: “But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal [notice how all these characteristics perfectly describe Cain himself, the progenitor of this evil, lustful attitude!], not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of YAHUAH — having a form of godliness [religious hypocrites!] but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them” (II Timothy 3:1-5).

Cain was the originator of the Babylonian Mystery Religion.

When he left the region of Eden, he migrated EASTWARD, to Babylon, where he began his ungodly civilization. The earliest kingdoms on the other side of the Flood arose in the region of “Shinar,” or the confluence of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers — the area of “Babylon.” From there the religion and government of Cain, and his way of life, spread around the populated world, enticing people to join their system, become a part of their “way.” At first Cain was very subtle, and secretive, promising people new religious knowledge, and divine secrets, and protection from the wrath of YAHUAH ELOHIYM. He devised a man-made religion of works, sacrifices, and worship of false gods, the original “Baals,” with himself the chief “god” since he was the progenitor of his race, and considered himself the “Messiah to come.”

Earth goddesses and gods, after the custom introduced by Cain, are found by archaeologists throughout Africa, the Middle East, Europe and Asia. The system of paganism was widespread.

But even as Cain first began his counterfeit religion with subtlety and craft, with secret planning and mystery, as long as Adam was alive, when Adam died the gloves were taken off, and the mystery religion became full-blown. A similar process occurred during the days of the apostles and the early Assembly. Another such apostasy from the truth of YAHUAH ELOHIYM is prophesied for our end-time, today!

End-Time Apostasy Foretold

The apostle Paul foretold, “Concerning the coming of our Master YAHUSHA HA’MASHIACH and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers, not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by some prophecy, report or letter supposed to have come from us [false letters were already circulating which were purported to have been written by Paul, but were the works of deceivers!], saying that the day of YAHUAH has already come. Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way [notice the powerful admonition — deceivers were rampant, and YAHUAH’s people were to be EXTREMELY CAREFUL, lest they, too, become victims of a powerful and highly placed deception!], for that day will not come until the REBELLION OCCURS and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction” (II Thessalonians 2:1-3).

Paul goes on, “For the SECRET POWER OF LAWLESSNESS is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so until he is taken out of the way [a servant of YAHUAH ELOHIYM, who finally is taken “out of the way” by YAHUAH even as Enoch and Noah were protected by YAHUAH from the violence of their enemies, the YAH-haters and false prophets of that time]. And then the lawless one will be revealed [he will come to full power and influence, without anyone restraining him], whom the Master YAHUSHA will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming” (verses 7-8).

In the early Assembly, it was the apostles themselves who “restrained” the apostasy. But when Peter and Paul were removed from the scene — they were both executed during the reign of Emperor Nero — then the apostasy blossomed and spread without restraint. The visible Assembly of YAHUAH ELOHIYM was taken over by apostates!

Even so, the same thing is prophesied for the END TIMES. Paul’s message is obviously dual. For these things not only were at work in his day, but he clearly says that an APOSTASY from the truth — a REBELLION of spiritual lawlessness — was to occur BEFORE the second coming of the Messiah!

Paul goes on to explain that in the end times, “The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the WORK OF SATAN [he will be doing Satan’s work, while proclaiming he is doing “YAH’s Work”!] displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason YAHUAH sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe THE LIE and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness” (II Thessalonians 2:9-12).

Consider these warnings from YAHUAH ELOHIYM sincerely, deep within your heart. Will you also be deceived by the coming powerful delusion? It is already here! And many have already succumbed to its deceptive allure, its blandishments, its smiles and profession of love. The “way of Cain” is alive and well on Mother Earth, today! It is rapidly destroying the truth of YAHUAH ELOHIYM, and leading the true people of YAHUAH astray, into bitter bondage and spiritual error. It has exalted itself, and has lifted up its ugly head, and reared up, to devour the unwary and all who don’t truly hunger and thirst for righteousness and the laws of YAHUAH ELOHIYM, and who don’t sincerely LOVE the TRUTH!

The Mysterious “Mark of Cain”

When Cain was banished from the sight of YAHUAH ELOHIYM, to the land of “Nod,” or wandering and unrest, YAHUAH placed a “mark” upon him so that all would know who he was, and would not destroy him lest they suffer seven-fold vengeance.

The Hebrew word for “mark” is simply owth and means “a signal, as a flag, beacon, monument, omen, prodigy, evidence — mark, miracle, ensign, token.”

It was something that identified Cain, and set him apart from other men. It marked him as NOT being one of YAHUAH’s own people, but an outcast, a renegade, a man who had been banished from the society of YAHUAH’s people. This mark came to stand for Cain and his way. Could it have been the pagan “cross” or “X” which was a sign commonly used in pagan societies and among the heathens religions? The “cross” or “Tau” symbol stood for the pagan Messiah Tammuz, who was the illegitimate son of Semiramis, wife of Nimrod.

Alexander Hislop tells us:

“There is yet one more symbol of the Romish worship to be noticed, and that is the sign of the CROSS. In the Papal system, as is well known, the sign of the cross and the image of the cross are all in all. No prayer can be said, no worship engaged in, no step almost can be taken, without the frequent use of the sign of the cross. The cross was looked upon as the GRAND CHARM [rememeber Cain? The “mark” was his symbol of divine protection! No wonder its use would become commonplace among his followers!], as the GREAT REFUGE IN EVERY SEASON OF DANGER, in every hour of temptation as the INFALLIBLE PRESERVATIVE from all the powers of darkness. The cross is adored with all the homage due only to the Most High; and for any one to call it, in the hearing of a genuine Romanist, by the Scriptural term, ‘the accursed tree’ is a MORTAL OFFENCE.

“To say that such superstitious feeling for the sign of the cross, such worship as Rome pays to a wooden or a metal cross, ever grew out of the saying of Paul, ‘God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ’ — that is, in the doctrine of Christ crucified — is a mere absurdity, a shallow subterfuge and pretence. The magic virtue attributed to the so-called sign of the cross, the worship bestowed on it, never came from such a source. The SAME SIGN OF THE CROSS THAT ROME NOW WORSHIPS WAS USED IN THE BABYLONIAN MYSTERIES, was applied by Paganism to the same magic purposes, was honoured with the same honours.

“That which is now called the Christian cross was ORIGINALLY NO CHRISTIAN EMBLEM AT ALL, BUT WAS THE MYSTIC TAU OF THE CHALDEANS AND EGYPTIANS — the true original form of the letter T — the initial of the name of Tammuz — which, in Hebrew, radically the same as ancient Chaldee….That mystic Tau was MARKED IN BAPTISM ON THE FOREHEADS OF THOSE INITIATED IN THE MYSTERIES, and was used in every variety of way as a most sacred symbol. To identify Tammuz with the son it was joined sometimes to the circle of the sun…” (The Two Babylons, Loizeaux Brothers, Neptune, NJ 1959, pp. 197-198).

A clear understanding of the pagan use of the cross can only inspire one to wonder as to its original source. And nothing would suit the purpose better than the “mark,” the “sign of protection” which YAHUAH ELOHIYM Himself used to mark the forehead of Cain!

This was further reinforced when the Roman Church accepted the fictitious account of Constantine the Great’s so-called conversion to Christianity. According to Finding Dulcinea (Librarian of the Internet) —

“Constantine was the son of Constantius, who had served as a Caesar (a junior emperor) of the Western Roman Empire under Maximian before succeeding Maximian as Augustus (senior emperor) in 305. Constantius’ death in 306 sparked a conflict over who would succeed him. Though Constantine had the support of his father’s army, he allowed Severus, his father’s Caesar, to become Augustus.

“Maxentius, the son of Maximian, was angered that he was passed over and declared himself Augustus. He defeated the Severus and Galerius, the Augustus of the East, in 306 and 307. In 311, Maxentius declared war on Constantine, the greatest threat to his power.

“In the spring of 312, Constantine led his army toward Maxentius in in Rome. After routing Maxentius’ forces in northern Italy, Constantine approached Rome in October.

“According to legend, on Oct. 27, the day before the two armies would battle outside of Rome near the Milvian Bridge, Constantine had a vision instructing him to fight in the name of Christ, with his soldiers’ shields bearing the symbol of Christ. The symbol was either a cross or the labarum, an intersection of the chi (X) and rho (P), the [supposed] letters of Christ.

“Christian author Lactantius, writing several years after the battle, described, ‘Constantine was directed in a dream to cause the heavenly sign to be delineated on the shields of his soldiers, and so to proceed to battle. He did as he had been commanded, and he marked on their shields the letter Χ, with a perpendicular line drawn through it and turned round thus at the top, being the cipher of Christ. Having this sign (ΧР), his troops stood to arms.’

“The author Eusebius, a Constantine apologist, also described the event in Life of Constantine, which he wrote after Constantine’s death in 337. According to Eusebius, Constantine saw a vision of a cross rather than the letters of Christ.

“‘He saw with his own eyes the trophy of a cross of light in the heavens, above the sun, and bearing the inscription, CONQUER BY THIS. At this sight he himself was struck with amazement, and his whole army also, which followed him on this expedition, and witnessed the miracle,’ wrote Eusebius.

“The following day, Constantine’s outnumbered forces defeated Maxentius’ forces, which tried to retreat over the Tiber River on a pontoon bridge. In the chaos of the retreat, the bridge collapsed, leaving only the too-narrow Milvian Bridge as a route to escape. Maxentius and many of his men would drown or be trampled to death in the escape. Constantine rode into Rome with the head of Maxentius.

“’There, at around the age of twenty-four, Constantine was hailed as emperor, of the western half of the empire,’ writes historian Frank E. Smitha. “He was hailed as a man of boldness and a man favored and guided by the gods.”

In commenting on this event in Constantine’s life, Alexander Hislop writes:

“…I am not without my suspicions that the X may have been intended to have one meaning to the Christians and another to the Pagans. It is certain that the X was the symbol of the god Ham in Egypt, and as such was exhibited on the breast of his image. Whichever view be taken, however, of Constantine’s sincerity, the supposed Divine warrant for reverencing the sign of the cross entirely falls to the ground…

“In this view, therefore, it [the cross or Tau] had no very great attraction for the Pagans, who, even in worshipping Horus, had always been accustomed to make use of the mystic Tau or cross, as the ‘sign of life,’ or the magical charm that secured all that was good, and warded off everything that was evil. When, therefore, multitudes of the Pagans, on the [so-called] conversion of Constantine, flocked into the [Roman] Church, like the semi-Pagans of Egypt, they brought along with them their predilection for the old symbol. The consequence was, that in no great length of time, as apostasy proceeded…the Tau, the sign of the cross, the indisputable sign of Tammuz, the false Messiah, was everywhere substituted in its stead” (The Two Babylons, pp. 204-205).

The pagan “cross” sign or symbol is the MARK OF CAIN!

Those who go about using this sign identify themselves as followers of the “WAY OF CAIN,” and the RELIGION BEGUN BY CAIN!

Hislop continues: “…there seems no reason to doubt that that Maltese cross is an express symbol of the sun; for Layard found it as a sacred symbol in Nineveh in such a connection as led him to identify it with the sun. The mystic Tau, as the symbol of the great divinity, was called ‘the sign of life;’ it was used as an AMULET OVER THE HEART; it was marked on the official garments of the priests of Rome; it was borne by kings in their hand, as a token of their dignity or divinely-conferred authority” (ibid., p.198).

The Vestal virgins of Pagan Rome used it suspended from their necklaces, even as Catholic nuns do now. The ancient Egyptians did the same, as Egyptian monuments show. Wilkinson in his work on the Egyptians (The Ancient Egyptians: Their Life and Customs) notes that it was already in use as early as the fifteenth century before the Christian era (Crescent Books, New York, NY 1988, Vol. 1, p. 277).

Says Hislop:

“There is hardly a Pagan tribe where the cross has not been found. The cross was worshipped by the Pagan Celts, long before the incarnation and death of Christ….It was worshipped in Mexico for ages before the Roman Catholic missionaries set foot there, large stone crosses being erected, probably to the ‘god of rain.’ The cross thus widely worshipped, or regarded as a sacred emblem, was the unequivocal symbol of Bacchus, the Babylonian Messiah, for he was represented with a head-band covered with crosses. This symbol of the Babylonian god is reverenced at this day in all the wild wastes of Tartary, where Buddhism prevails, and the way in which it is represented among them forms a striking commentary on the language applied by Rome to the Cross” (The Two Babylons, p. 199).

How did the cross get into the visible “Christian” church? Hislop relates, “Now this Pagan symbol seems first to have crept into the Christian Church in EGYPT, and generally into Africa. A statement of Tertullian, about the middle of the third century, shows how much, by that time, the Church of Carthage was infected with the old leaven. Egypt, especially, which was never thoroughly evangelized, appears to have taken the lead in bringing in this Pagan symbol” (ibid., p. 201).

Says Ralph Woodrow, in Babylon Mystery Religion, “It was not until Christianity began to be paganized that the cross came to be thought of as a Christian symbol. It was in 431 A.D. that crosses in churches and chambers were introduced, while the use of crosses on steeples did not come until about 586 A.D. In the sixth century, the crucifix image was introduced and its worship sanctioned by the church of Rome. It was not until the second council at Ephesus that private homes were required to possess a cross” (Ralph Woodrow, Riverside, CA 1982, p. 50).

Woodrow points out that long before the Messiah, the cross was a widely used religious symbol not only in Babylon and Egypt, but also in China, where it was used on pagodas, in northern and southern India, among both Buddhists and Hindus, in Ethiopia, and in Mexico, among the Aztecs.

The ancient Mexicans worshipped the cross as “Tota,” or “Our Father.” But the Word of YAHUAH ELOHIYM condemns calling a stock of wood “My father” (see Jeremiah 2:27).

The cross, as an instrument of death and crucifixion, is also of remote antiquity, and pagan. The cross was used in this way by the ancient Assyrians, Egyptians, Persians, in Palestine, Carthage, Greece, and by the Romans. Tradition says the originator of this form of execution was none other than Semiramis, the apostate-prostitute wife of Nimrod, shortly after the Flood!

However Nancy L. Kuehl notes in her work, A Book of Evidence: The Trials and Execution of Jesus, that the Messiah was not nailed to a cross or Tau, but to a living tree — notice!

“Whatever one believes, we must believe Jesus was hanged alive on a living tree. The evidence is overwhelming. From the New Covenant, we have several references to it. Never is the word xulon translated as the ‘cross.’ The word for ‘cross’ would have been stauros, and even then the Greek word only reflects the upright nature of the tree! The word xulon, however, is the same that Luke uses in 23:31 for ‘moist wood’ and refers to a living tree! The Hebrew equivalent would be the ‘ets (derived from ‘atsah), which is also used as a term for ‘gallows’ in the book of Esther where Haman is ‘hanged’ (Esth. 5:14; 8:7). It is the same word used in Genesis 40:19 and Deuteronomy 21:22 to describe the hanging of an individual on a ‘tree.’

“These ‘gallows’ DO NOT refer to a Roman cross. The word is even used to describe the fruit trees of the Garden of Eden, including the Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. In the New Covenant, the disciples were QUITE CLEAR about how Jesus was hanged [crucified], and it wasn’t upon a Roman cross. The disciples, in fact, confronted the Jewish judicial Sanhedrin later that decade with the ultimate accusation that they had hanged [crucified] Jesus upon a ‘living’ tree” (Resource Publications, Eugene, OR 2013, p.199).

Doesn’t it make sense, then, that the “cross” was the literal “mark of Cain”? 

It was his own personal “amulet” of protection; he began to view with with superstitious regard and reverence. And it became the symbol of his way — his religious institution — his mystery religious system.

How Should We Keep The Sabbath?

Those who think that since we are in YAHUSHA, everyday is the Sabbath would think twice if they knew that if this were the case, then they would never be permitted to work or do anything having to do with our own pleasures on the Sabbath. There are many blessings attached to keeping the Sabbath Day Qodesh (Set-Apart). So lets find out what it means to keep this QODESH Day (Set-Apart):

Deut 5:13 (NKJV) Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 14 but the seventh day [is] the Sabbath of YAHUAH your ELOHIYM. [In] [it] you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your ox, nor your donkey, nor any of your cattle, nor your stranger who [is] within your gates, that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you.

So not only are we to rest, but those who work for us are to rest also. If we own a business, it is not acceptable to have all the employees working while we enjoy a restful Sabbath Day. This commandment also includes anyone who we temporarily hire to work for us. For instance, when we go to restaurants we are hiring the cook and the waiter and the person who rings up the bill as a servant to work for us. Also anytime we purchase anything on the Sabbath such as groceries and other merchandise we are hiring others to stock the shelves, clean up and ring up the bill for us because we are paying for their service when we purchase the items. Nehemiah rebukes buying and selling quite sharply in this scripture:

Nehemiah 13:15 (NKJV) In those days I saw [people] in Judah treading wine presses on the Sabbath, and bringing in sheaves, and loading donkeys with wine, grapes, figs, and all [kinds] [of] burdens, which they brought into Jerusalem on the Sabbath Day. And I warned [them] about the day on which they were selling provisions. 16 Men of Tyre dwelt there also, who brought in fish and all kinds of goods, and sold [them] on the Sabbath to the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem. 17 Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said to them, “What evil thing [is] this that you do, by which you profane the Sabbath Day? 18 “Did not your fathers do thus, and did not our ELOHIYM bring all this disaster on us and on this city? Yet you bring added wrath on Yashar’el by profaning the Sabbath.”

So buying and selling is clearly forbidden on the Sabbath. Going to restaurants and shopping malls and grocery stores is no way to keep the Sabbath QODESH (Set-Apart). The Sabbath is a Day of rest and prayer and worship. Not a day for doing our own pleasures:

Isai 58:13 “If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, [From] doing your pleasure on My Set-Apart day, And call the Sabbath a delight, The QODESH (SET-APART) [Day] of YAHUAH honorable, And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, Nor finding your own pleasure, Nor speaking [your] [own] words, 14 Then you shall delight yourself in YAHUAH; And I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth, And feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father. The mouth of YAHUAH has spoken.”

So keeping the Sabbath Day QODESH (SET-APART) not only means that we aren’t to buy or sell, but also means that we are to refrain from our own pleasures such as sporting events, television, movies, etc. Also we are not even to speak our own words! Even our speech should be about YAHUAH and His word. I assure you, if we keep the Sabbath Day in this manner it will be much easier keeping YAHUAH’s commandments because we have one day each week to refresh ourselves spiritually. It is a day that we can look forward to during the week that we can fully refresh ourselves both physically and spiritually. YAHUAH never made our bodies to withstand constant labor day after day. It is no wonder that so many people we meet are so tired all of the time. And it is no wonder that people often fall away

Cooking and Preparation day.

When YAHUAH brought the children of Yashar’el out of Egypt, he re-instituted the Sabbath Day. No doubt that the Egyptians expected them to work seven days a week. Here is Moses telling the children of Yashar’el what they should do in preparation for the Sabbath:

Exod 16:23 (NKJV) Then he said to them, “This [is] [what] YAHUAH has said: `Tomorrow [is] a Sabbath rest, a QODESH (SET-APART) Sabbath to YAHUAH. Bake what you will bake [today], and boil what you will boil; and lay up for yourselves all that remains, to be kept until morning.’ “

On preparation day, we should prepare our food that will be eaten on the Sabbath so that we will not have to cook or prepare it on the Sabbath. There are many variations of how to do this which will not be discussed in this study. 

What is permitted on the Sabbath?

Now there are some things that are always okay to do on the Sabbath that the Scribes and Pharisees in YAHUSHA’s day would think forbidden:

John 5:10 (NKJV) The Jews therefore said to him who was cured, “It is the Sabbath; it is not lawful for you to carry [your] bed.”

Luke 13:14 (NKJV) But the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because YAHUSHA had healed on the Sabbath; and he said to the crowd, “There are six days on which men ought to work; therefore come and be healed on them, and not on the Sabbath Day.”

Luke 6:7 (NKJV) So the scribes and Pharisees watched Him closely, whether He would heal on the Sabbath, that they might find an accusation against Him.

Luke 6:1 (NKJV) Now it happened on the second Sabbath after the first that He went through the grainfields. And His disciples plucked the heads of grain and ate [them], rubbing [them] in [their] hands. 2 And some of the Pharisees said to them, “Why are you doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath?”

Note that in the above verses that the issue was not whether or not to keep the Sabbath but rather how the Sabbath should be kept! Let’s look at YAHUSHA’s response to these accusations:

Healing on the Sabbath:

Luke 13:15 (NKJV) The Master then answered him and said, “Hypocrite! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or donkey from the stall, and lead [it] away to water it? 16 “So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound–think of it–for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?”

Luke 14:5 (NKJV) Then He answered them, saying, “Which of you, having a donkey or an ox that has fallen into a pit, will not immediately pull him out on the Sabbath Day?” 6 And they could not answer Him regarding these things.

John 5:16 (NKJV) For this reason the Jews persecuted YAHUSHA, and sought to kill Him, because He had done these things on the Sabbath. 17 But YAHUSHA answered them, “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.”

Mark 2:27 (NKJV) And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.

John 7:22 (NKJV) “Moses therefore gave you circumcision (not that it is from Moses, but from the fathers), and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath. 23 “If a man receives circumcision on the Sabbath, so that the law of Moses should not be broken, are you angry with Me because I made a man completely well on the Sabbath?

Also take into consideration that the Levites sacrificed animals on the Sabbath Day and therefore had to work. This is YAHUSHA’s answer to them when the disciples began to pluck grain to eat on the Sabbath:

Matt 12:3 (NKJV) But He said to them, “Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him: 4 “how he entered the house of YAHUAH and ate the showbread which was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those who were with him, but only for the priests ? 5 “Or have you not read in the law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath , and are blameless? 6 “Yet I say to you that in this place there is [One] greater than the temple. 7 “But if you had known what [this] means, `I desire mercy and not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the guiltless

YAHUAH expects us to keep the Sabbath Day QODESH (SET-APART). But it is always ok to do good on the Sabbath Day and clearly YAHUSHA and the disciples did not have time to prepare for the Sabbath because they were doing YAHUAH’s work. So if we have to do a little work on the Sabbath or cause another to do a little work on the Sabbath for YAHUAH’s purpose then this is not breaking the Sabbath. Of course one could take this to the extreme as well and say that it is impossible for them to refrain from going to work on the Sabbath or they would be fired and then not have any food. This is ridiculous. YAHUAH will provide for us. We needn’t be concerned about our food if we are obeying His Sabbath.

So, in summary we can see that YAHUAH wants us to keep His Sabbath QODESH (SET-APART) by not working, buying, selling, causing others to work for us, speaking idle or vain words or doing our own pleasures on the Sabbath. There are only exceptions if we are fulfilling YAHUAH’s purpose for something. And this I leave to one’s own heart for only YAHUAH knows our heart. 

To add a bunch of laws to try and apply to specific situations is legalism. And this is what the scribes and Pharisees were practicing. YAHUSHA clearly taught against that.

Constantine, Catholicism, Sun Worship and The Sabbath to Sunday Change

In 312 A.D., prior to his pivotal victory over his rival Maxentius at the Battle of Milvian Bridge, Constantine became a “Christian” after claiming to see in broad daylight a vision of “a cross above the sun” with these words emblazoned, “in hoc signo vinces” (by this sign conquer”). After defeating his enemies and becoming Emperor of Rome, Constantine presided in full royal pomp over the “First Council of Nicea” in 325 A.D.

A shrewd political genius, his scheme was to unite paganism and Christianity in an effort to strengthen his disintegrating empire. Constantine knew that pagans throughout the empire worshiped the sun on “the first day of the week,” and he discovered that many Christians and especially in Rome and Alexandria also kept ‘Sunday’ because Messiah rose from the dead on that day. So Constantine developed a plan to unite both groups on the common platform of Sunday keeping. On March 7, 321 A.D., he passed his famous national Sunday law:

“On the venerable Day of the Sun let the magistrates and people residing in cities rest, and let all workshops be closed.” Source: Codex Justinianus, lib. 3, tit. 12, 3; trans. in Philip Schaff, History of the Christian Church, Vol.3 (5th ed.; New York: Scribner, 1902), p.380, note 1.

And another source: “Let all judges and townspeople and occupations of all trades rest on the venerable day of the Sun [Sunday]; nevertheless, let those who are situated in the rural districts freely and with full liberty attend to the cultivation of the fields, because it so frequently happens that no other day may be so fitting for ploughing grains or trenching vineyards, lest at the time the advantage of the moment granted by the provision of heaven may be lost.” The Code of Justinian, Book 3, title 12, law 3.

Now a professed Christian, Constantine nevertheless remained a devout sun worshipper. “The sun was universally celebrated as the invincible guide and protector of Constantine,” notes Edward Gibbon in his classic Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, ch. xx, par. 3.

Constantine even printed coins which “bore on the one side the letters of the name of Christ, on the other the figure of the sun god.” Arthur P. Stanley, History of the Eastern Church, lect. vi, par. 14.

Again, Constantine’s promotion of Sunday observance was part of his definite strategy to combine paganism with Christianity: “The retention of the old pagan name of dies Solis, or ‘Sunday,’ for the weekly Christian festival, is in great measure owing to the union of pagan and Christian sentiment with which the first day of the week was recommended by Constantine to his subjects, pagan and Christian alike, as the ‘venerable day of the Sun.’” Stanley’s History of the Eastern Church, p. 184.

“The Jewish, the Samaritan, even the Christian, were to be fused and recast into one great system, of which the sun was to be the central object of adoration.” Henry Milman, The History of Christianity, Book 2, chap. 8, Vol. 22, p. 175. In 330 A.D., Constantine moved his capital from Rome to Constantinople (modern Istanbul), thus preparing the way for the Roman Catholic Popes to reign in Rome as the successors of Constantine. As the Papal Church grew in power, it opposed Sabbath observance in favour of Sunday sacredness and made the day change official in the Council of Laodicea (A.D. 363-364). Constantine’s plan was successful and the result of his Sunday law was now fully accepted and adopted by the Papal Church, and the Sabbath to Sunday change was complete. 

Some correctly teach that Constantine only instituted the first Sunday law, but they very conveniently fail to acknowledge why and the remainder of the story. The Council of Laodicea around A.D. 364 decreed 59 Canon laws. Canon XXIX: “Christians must not judaize by resting on the Sabbath, but must work on that day, rather honouring the Lord’s Day; and, if they can, resting then as Christians. But if any shall be found to be judaizers, let them be anathema from Christ.” (Percival Translation).

History of Trusts

The 1st Trust of the world

Unam Sanctam is one of the most frightening documents of history and the one most quoted as the primary document of the popes claiming their global power. It is an express trust deed. The last line reads: “Furthermore, we declare, we proclaim, we define that it is absolutely necessary for salvation that every human creature be subject to the Roman Pontiff.” It is not only the first trust deed in history but also the largest trust ever conceived, as it claims the whole planet and everything on it, conveyed in trust.

Triple Crown of Ba’al, aka the Papal Tiara and Triregnum

In 1302 Pope Boniface issued his infamous Papal Bull Unam Sanctam––the first Express Trust. He claimed control over the whole planet which made him “King of the world”. In celebration, he commissioned a gold-plated headdress in the shape of a pinecone, with an elaborate crown at its base. The pinecone is an ancient symbol of fertility and one traditionally associated with Ba’al as well as the Cult of Cybele. It also represents the pineal gland in the centre of our brains––crystalline in nature–– which allows us access to Source, hence, the 13-foot tall pinecone in Vatican Square. Think about why the Pontiffs would idolize a pinecone.

The 1st Crown of Crown Land

Pope Boniface VIII was the first leader in history to create the concept of a Trust, but the first Testamentary Trust, through a deed and will creating a Deceased Estate, was created by Pope Nicholas V in 1455, through the Papal Bull Romanus Pontifex. This is only one of three (3) papal bulls to include the line with the incipit “For a perpetual remembrance.” This Bull had the effect of conveying the right of use of the land as Real Property, from the Express Trust Unam Sanctam, to the control of the Pontiff and his successors in perpetuity. Hence, all land is claimed as “crown land”. This 1st Crown is represented by the 1st Cestui Que Vie Trust, created when a child is born. It deprives us of all beneficial entitlements and rights on the land.

The 2nd Crown of the Commonwealth

The second Crown was created in 1481 with the papal bull Aeterni Regis, meaning “Eternal Crown”, by Sixtus IV, being only the 2nd of three papal bulls as deeds of testamentary trusts.

This Papal Bull created the “Crown of Aragon”, later known as the Crown of Spain, and is the highest sovereign and highest steward of all Roman Slaves subject to the rule of the Roman Pontiff. Spain lost the crown in 1604 when it was granted to King James I of England by Pope Paul V after the successful passage of the “Union of Crowns”, or Commonwealth, in 1605 after the false flag operation of the Gunpowder Plot. The Crown was finally lost by England in 1975, when it was returned to Spain and King Carlos I, where it remains to this day. This 2nd Crown is represented by the 2nd cestui Que Vie Trust, created when a child is born and, by the sale of the birth certificate as a Bond to the private central bank of the nation, depriving us of ownership of our flesh and condemning us to perpetual servitude, as a Roman person, or slave.

The 3rd Crown of the Ecclesiastical See

The third Crown was created in 1537 by Paul III, through the papal bull Convocation, also meant to open the Council of Trent. It is the third and final testamentary deed and will of a testamentary trust, set up for the claiming of all “lost souls”, lost to the See. The Venetians assisted in the creation of the 1st Cestui Que Vie Act of 1540, to use this papal bull as the basis of Ecclesiastical authority of Henry VIII.

This Crown was secretly granted to England in the collection and “reaping” of lost souls. The Crown was lost in 1816, due to the deliberate bankruptcy of England, and granted to the Temple Bar which became known as the Crown Bar, or simply the Crown. The Bar Associations have since been responsible for administering the “reaping” of the souls of the lost and damned, including the registration and collection of Baptismal certificates representing the souls collected by the Vatican and stored in its vaults.

This 3rd Crown is represented by the 3rd Cestui Que Vie Trust, created when a child is baptized. It is the parents’ grant of the Baptismal certificate––title to the soul––to the church or Registrar. Thus, without legal title over one’s own soul, we will be denied legal standing and will be treated as things––cargo without souls––upon which the BAR is now legally able to enforce Maritime law.

The Cestui Que Vie Trust

A Cestui Que Vie Trust is a fictional concept. It is a Temporary Testamentary Trust, first created during the reign of Henry VIII of England through the Cestui Que Vie Act of 1540 and updated by Charles II, through the CQV Act of 1666, wherein an Estate may be effected for the Benefit of a Person presumed lost or abandoned at “sea” and therefore assumed “dead” after seven (7) years. Additional presumptions, by which such a Trust may be formed, were added in later statutes to include bankrupts, minors, incompetents, mortgages, and private companies. The original purpose of a CQV Trust was to form a temporary Estate for the benefit of another because some event, state of affairs, or condition prevented them from claiming their status as living, competent, and present, before a competent authority. Therefore, any claims, history, statutes, or arguments that deviate in terms of the origin and function of a CQV Trust, as pronounced by these canons, is false and automatically null and void.

A Beneficiary under Estate may be either a Beneficiary or a CQV Trust. When a Beneficiary loses direct benefit of any Property of the higher Estate placed in a CQV Trust on his behalf, he do not “own” the CQV Trust; he is only the beneficiary of what the Trustees of the CQV Trust choose to provide. As all CQV Trusts are created on presumption, based upon original purpose and function, such a Trust cannot be created if these presumptions can be proven not to exist.

Since 1933, when a child is borne in a State (Estate) under inferior Roman law, three (3) Cestui Que (Vie) Trusts are created upon certain presumptions specifically designed to deny, forever, the child any rights of Real Property, any Rights to be free, and any Rights to be known as man or woman, rather than a creature or animal, by claiming and possessing their Soul or Spirit.

The Executors or Administrators of the higher Estate willingly and knowingly:

1. convey the beneficial entitlements of the child, as Beneficiary, into the 1st Cestui Que (Vie) Trust in the form of a Registry Number by registering the Name, thereby also creating the Corporate Person and denying the child any rights to Real Property; and,

2. claim the baby as chattel to the Estate. The slave baby contract is then created by honoring the ancient tradition of either having the ink impression of the baby’s feet onto the live birth record, or a drop of its blood, as well as tricking the parents to signing the baby away through the deceitful legal meanings on the live birth record which is a promissory note, converted into a slave bond, sold to the private reserve bank of the estate, and then conveyed into a 2nd and separate CQV Trust, per child, owned by the bank. When the promissory note reaches maturity and the bank is unable to “seize” the slave child, a maritime lien is lawfully issued to “salvage” the lost property and is monetized as currency issued in series against the CQV Trust.

3. claim the child’s soul via the Baptismal Certificate. Since 1540 and the creation of the 1st CQV Act, deriving its power from the Papal Bull of Roman Cult leader Pope Paul III, 1540, when a child is baptized and a Baptismal Certificate is issued, the parents have gifted, granted, and conveyed the soul of the baby to a “3rd” CQV Trust owned by Roman Cult, which has held this valuable property in its vaults ever since. Since 1815, this 3rd Crown of the Roman Cult and 3rd CQV Trust representing Ecclesiastical Property has been managed by the BAR as the reconstituted “Galla” responsible, as Grim Reapers, for reaping the souls.

Each Cestui Que Vie Trust, created since 1933, represents one of the 3 Crowns representing the three claims of property of the Roman Cult: Real Property (on Earth), Personal Property (body), and Ecclesiastical Property (soul). Each corresponds exactly to the three forms of law available to the Galla of the BAR Courts: corporate commercial law (judge is the ‘landlord’), maritime and canon law (judge is the banker), and Talmudic law (judge is the priest).

What is the real power of a court ‘judge’?

Given what has been revealed about the foundations of Roman Law, what is the real hidden power of a judge when we face court? Is it their superior knowledge of process and procedure or of magic? Or is it something simpler and far more obvious?

It is unfortunate that much of the excitement about Estates and Executors has deliberately not revealed that an Estate, by definition, has to belong to a Trust––to be specific, a Testamentary Trust or CQV Trust. When we receive legal paper or have to appear in court, it is these same CQV Trusts which have our rights converted into the property contained within them. Instead of being the Trustee, or the Executor, or Administrator, we are merely the Beneficiary of each CQV Trust, granted only beneficial and equitable use of certain property, never legal title. So if the Roman Legal System assumes we are merely the beneficiary of these CQV Trusts, when we go to court, who represents the Trustee and Office of Executor?

We all know that all cases are based upon the judge’s discretion which often defies procedures, statutes, and maxims of law. Well, they are doing what any Trustee or Executor, administering a trust in the presence of the beneficiary, can do under Roman Law and all the statutes, maxims, and procedures are really for show because under the principles of Trust Law, as first formed by the Roman Cult, a Trustee has a wide latitude, including the ability to correct any procedural mistakes, by obtaining the implied or tacit consent of the beneficiary, to obviate any mistakes. The judge is the real and legal Name. The judge is the trust, itself. We are the mirror image to them––the ghost––the dead. It is high sorcery, trickery, and subterfuge that has remained “legal” for far too long. Spread the word.

In closing – the whole system is a fraud like the Insurgent UNITES STATES Inc. is a fraud! Where did you ever agree to be part of it are were you ever told what was going on! Fraud vitiates all contracts, agreements and even treaties!

The Prison Bond Game.

The issuing of bond for profit on prisoners has finally been deciphered.

It is no wonder that there is a rise in prosecution for non-violent crimes!

As soon as your social security number hits the system, there is someone buying a bond in your name that accrues the longer your ass sits in jail. We couldn’t figure out why the incarceration rate was so high that the counties couldn’t afford to pay the bill.

The courts are operating under Statute Law. A “Statute” is defined in BLACK’S LAW DICTIONARY, FOURTH EDITION REVISED as a kind of bond or obligation of record, being an abbreviation for “statute merchant” or “statute staple.”

Statute –merchant = is defined as a security for a debt acknowledged to be due, entered into before the chief magistrate of some trading town, pursuant to the statute 13 Edward I. De Mercatoribus, by which not only the body of the debtor might be imprisoned, and his goods seized in satisfaction of the debt, but also his lands might be delivered

to the creditor till out of the rents and profits of them the debt be satisfied.

The Grand Jury Foreman is the Drawer or Maker of the Indictment by his signature, the Defendant/Debtor or Straw-man is the Drawee and the State is the Payee and the live Man or Woman is the Payor. What they are doing in the courtroom is all commercial, and is in conformity to 27 CFR 72.11, where it says all Crimes are commercial. What the judge and prosecutor are doing in the courtroom is making a

commercial presentment under section 3-501 (1) “Unless excused (section 3-511) presentment is necessary to charge secondary parties as follows”:

(a) Presentment for acceptance is necessary to charge the drawer and endorsers of a draft where the draft so provides, or is payable elsewhere than at the residence or place of business of the drawee, or its date of payment depends upon such presentment. The holder may at his option present for acceptance any other draft payable at a stated date;

(b) presentment for payment is necessary to charge any endorser;

(c) in the case of any drawer, the acceptor of a draft payable at a bank or the maker of a note payable at a bank, presentment for payment is necessary, but failure to make presentment discharges such drawer, acceptor or maker only as stated in section 3-502 (1)(B).

If you don’t accept the charge or presentment you are in dishonor for no acceptance under 3-505 of the U.C.C. (c) and 3-501 (2) (a), (b).

Acceptance is the drawer’s signed engagement to honor the draft as presented. It must be written on the draft, and may consist of his signature alone. It becomes operative when completed by delivery or notification 3-410 of the U.C.C.

You are the Fiduciary Trustee of the Straw-man which is a cesti que UNITED STATES TRUST; in this capacity you have the responsibility to discharge all his debts, by operation of law. You are also the principal or asset holder on the private side of the accounting ledger; you are holding the Exemption necessary to discharge the debt. 

When they monetize debt they have to have a principal, capital and interest is what circulates as principal and is called revenue or re-venue. Principal is where venue lies. When you are in dishonor they cannot use your exemption to pass the debt or charge through your account to obtain a discharge, so they sell your dishonor, which has a commercial value of $1,000,000 dollars for each count.

When Social Security # is assigned or a Blank Bond is issued and when you are imprisoned the Bond is filled out. This Bond is called a Bid Bond, Standard Form 24 (REV. 10-98) prescribed by GSA-FAR (48 CFR) § 53.228(a). This is also called a Prison Bond. These are also referred to as Contract Surety Bonds. 

The First, the Bid Bond, provides financial assurance that the bid has been submitted in good faith and that the contractor intends to enter into the contract at the price bid and provide the required performance and payment

bonds. 

The Second, the Performance Bond, protects the obligee from financial loss should the contractor fail to perform the contract in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract documents.

The Third kind of Contract Bond is the Payment Bond which guarantees that the contractor will pay certain subcontractor, labor and material bills associated with the project.

On April 9, 2002 (12:18 pm) Lehman Brothers Banking Cartel in New York City agreed to provide prison industry leader CCA (Corrections Corporation of America) with a new $ 695.0 million senior secured credit facility, to be combined with a $150 million notes offering. The war on terrorism has created a buzz in the private prison industry.

Less than three weeks after September 11th, a New York Post story on the for-profit private prison industry stated, “America’s new wall of homeland security is creating a big demand for cells to hold suspects and illegal aliens who might be rounded up.” In order to prosper, prison operators need to maintain a steady flow of prisoners and prison dollars.

The Corrections Corporation of America owns most of your prison systems and sells its stock and shares on the New York Stock Exchange, the major stock holder is the Paine Webber Group.There is also a Prison Realty Trust [PZN], which is a real estate investment trust [REIT] and is the world’s largest private sector owner and developer.

Prisons are nothing but warehouses for the storage of goods and chattel under commercial law. The Warden is a Bailee or Warehouseman [before the term Admiral was used he was called Custos Maris “Warden of the Sea”] [In some ancient records He was called Capitanos Maritimarum or “Captain or Tenant in Chief of the Maritime”] who receives personal property from another as Bailment. The Bailer is one who provides bail as a surety for a criminal defendant’s release.

When your dishonor is sold within the United States it has a six digit accounting # and is called a Cardinal Number, when it is sold at the International Level it goes Ordinance or Military and uses a nine digit accounting number. This is where AutoTRIS and CUSIP come in.

AutoTRIS is the Automated Forensic Traces Investigation System and was designed in the Russian Federal Center of Forensic Science using a graphical toolkit that was developed at Automation Designs & Solutions, Inc. for other software products.

Why is privatizing prisons so appealing to Federal, State, and Local governments? As the Nation put it: The selling point was simple: Private companies could build and run prisons cheaper that the governments.

Unfettered American Capitalism would produce a better fetter, saving cash-strapped states millions of dollars each year” while simultaneously generating huge profits. The Nation explains this miracle would be accomplished. “Private prisons receive a guaranteed [per diem] fee for each prisoner, regardless of the actual costs. Each dime they don’t spend on food or medical care [for prisoners] or on wages and training for the guards is a dime they can pocket.” Most guards in public prisons belong to the LEOU, which is part of the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees AFSCME.

I have a pointed question for you, why aren’t we as principals on the Private side of the accounting cycle using our Exemption Priority to discharge all this Public Debt under the Uniform Exemption Act section 3 “Exempt” means protected, and “exemption” means protection, from subjection to a judicial lien, process, or proceeding to collect a debt. 

The answer is we are all double-minded and do not know who we are in a commercial setting. Every individual in Prison is in there, because of Commercial Dishonor.
