Wickedness – Hebrew: beliya’al

Wickedness – Hebrew: beliya’al

Wickedness – LUCAS (LUKE) 13-26-28

Hebrew – beliya’al בליעל means destruction, death, it is used to modify the word ‘dabar’ or word as a wicked word.

Greek – same as iniquity and anomia or without ‘law’ or commands of YAHUAH.

Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in your presence, and you have taught in our streets.

But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye transgressors of the Torah.

There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see AVRAHAM, and YITSCHAQ, and YA’AQOV, and all the prophets, in the Kingdom of YAHUAH, and you yourselves thrust out.

LUCAS (LUKE) 13-26-28

But the sons of Beliya’al shall be all of them as thorns thrust away, because they cannot be taken with hands: But the man that shall touch them must be fenced with iron and the staff of a spear; and they shall be utterly burned with fire in the same place.

SHEMU’EL SHENIY (2 SAMUEL) 23-6-7

In the Greek, YAHUSHA would be saying, “Get away from me, all you workers of lawlessness!” In the Hebrew, YAHUSHA would be saying, “Get away from me, all you workers of ‘torahlessness’ as the word ‘torah’ has been translated as ‘law’ rather than ‘teachings and instructions.‘

Those who do not hold to YAHUAH’s teachings and instructions are also not holding to YAHUSHA’s teachings and instructions because YAHUSHA does only what His Father tells him to do (John 5:19), states that he and the father are one (John 10:10). According to John 1:14, the ‘davar’ or word (Torah) became flesh and lived among us. The the spoken or written word of YAHUAH appears to us in the flesh as YAHUSHA.

Happy Labor Day! A Holiday Born In Violence

Happy Labor Day! A Holiday Born In Violence

By Chris Pandolfo

The legislation creating Labor Day was brought forward as the United States was firmly in the grip of leftist-agitated violence.

Socialist labor movements in the country had been clamoring for the adoption of May 1, or “May Day,” as an International Labor Day since the mid-1880s. The holiday had been celebrated at local and state levels sporadically throughout the country, but was finally adopted at the federal level by President Grover Cleveland as an election compromise with the labor movement in the aftermath of the nation’s first national strike — a bloody one.

The year 1893 was marked by a severe economic depression, then aptly called a “panic.” Businesses and banks collapsed in record numbers. Unemployment skyrocketed. Those who still had their jobs found their wages slashed — and that is where the trouble began in Pullman, Ill.

George Pullman founded his namesake town in 1880, where he established the Pullman Car Company. Pullman was in the railroad business; his company manufacturing railroad cars. It was a profitable company, formed at the height of America’s vast railroad expansion. The town of Pullman was built for the workers, as the workers lived on company-owned land in company-owned residences and shopped in company-owned stores.

When the Panic of 1893 hit, several workers were laid off from the Pullman Car Company, while the rest suffered an average of a one-fourth wage cut. Eventually, the downtrodden and livid workers organized a strike, and to their aid quickly came the American Railway Union (ARU) and its socialist leader, Eugene V. Debs. Debs helped orchestrate a national boycott of trains carrying Pullman cars.

The strike lasted three months, from May 11 to July 11, 1894. When replacement workers (“strikebreakers”) were called in to cross the picket line, violence erupted. Riots, the pillaging of railway cars, and property destruction ensued.

But it was the interruption of postal mail delivery that really brought the strike to the federal government’s attention. President Cleveland declared the strike a federal crime — insisting that the strikers were prohibiting the government from carrying out its constitutional responsibility for mail delivery. Soon after, 14,000 federal and state troops were called upon to break up the strike.

By the strike’s end, as many as 30 people had been killed. In Chicago, lawless strikers took advantage of the violence to “rob, burn, and plunder,” leading to an estimated $80 million in property damages. Debs and the leaders of the ARU were jailed and the union dissolved.

With the nation roiling and the 1894 midterm elections approaching, Cleveland’s administration sought a way to appease the labor movement. Thus came Labor Day. The legislation was expedited through Congress and signed by the president on June 28, 1894, in the midst of the Pullman strike. To avoid a direct connection with the socialist celebration in May, Labor Day was positioned to fall on the first Monday in September, keeping with a tradition of New York City labor unions to celebrate the holiday in late summer.

Political uncertainty and tension once again are gripping America, with a seemingly endless number of incidents caused by violent, agitating socialists. The Left has been up to this divisive and bullying trick for more than 100 years. And we officially commemorate it the first Monday in September.

Behold, I Give Unto You Power To Tread On Serpents

Behold, I Give Unto You Power To Tread On Serpents

————

Finally, my brethren, be strong in YAHUAH, and in the power of his might.

Put on the whole armour of YAH, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of YAH, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

And your feet shod with the preparation of the Besorah of peace;

Above all, taking the shield of belief, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the RUACH, which is the Word of YAHUAH:

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the RUACH, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all qodeshiym;

EPH’SIYM (EPHESIANS) 6:10-18

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

LUQAS (LUKE) 10:19

They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

MARQUS (MARK) 16:18

Note:

Serpent: Strong’s # G3789 a snake, figuratively, (as a type of sly cunning) an artful malicious person, especially Satan:–serpent.

Drink any deadly thing: Referring to false teaching or lie that we may have consumed.

It shall not hurt them, the sick shall recover: Meaning YAHUAH is in the Restoration Business. That is what He does best.

The Holy (or Sacred) Serpent

The Holy (or Sacred) Serpent

“You serpents, you generation of vipers, how can you escape the damnation of hell?” (Matthew 23:33)

The House of Yisra’el (Israel) Left Desolate

In the King James Bible lexicon, the word “generation” here means “race, nation, bloodline, or ethnic group.” In this same Gospel, in Matthew 23 we also find YAHUSHA telling the Jews, “Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.”

“Desolate!” That means devoid of spiritual value, barren, a wasteland. Today, the House of Israel, the physical nation of Israel, is exactly what YAHUSHA said it would be—a spiritual desert, a nation of lying, deceiving, terrorist killers; desolate of morality, devoid of righteousness. All of Rothschild’s trillions and all of America’s boatloads of foreign aid, diplomatic cover, and military armaments heaped on the artificially created nation of Israel for the past six decades cannot change one iota of what YAHUSHA prophesied. Israel is a desolate place, a wasteland of inhuman cruelty and savage conduct, and it shall remain so.

”—serpents whose cruel, black hearts are stained with filth and contamination. Just so, because the priesthood of rabbis, the keepers of the Judaic faith, are worshippers of the Holy Serpent.

The Holy (or Sacred) Serpent, of course, is identified in the New Testament as he who was cast out of heaven. In other words, the Devil, or Satan. The Sacred Serpent.

It is this Sacred Serpent, the Kabbalah teaches, that in the coming Messianic age he shall rise from the abyss to conquer the Gentiles and exalt God’s Chosen, the Jews.

In the religion of Judaism, the Sacred Serpent is said to rise from the abyss. Through his power and guidance, a divine World Jewry will triumph over the Gentiles, and the Jews’ Messiah will reign supreme.

Since the Torah (the first five books of the Old Testament) are said to be “the heart of Jewish existence,” the doctrine that the Sacred Serpent is hidden within the Torah and appears as the letter vav is an essential foundation of Judaic tradition. The rabbis believe that this letter—vav—is evidence of their deity. They emphasize that the letter vav, indicative of the Sacred Serpent, is found exactly at the middle-point of the Torah, at (Leviticus 11:42), which is said to be the belly of the Serpent deity.

Jerusalem scholar and rabbi, Joel David Bakst, excitedly writes of this doctrine which places the Jewish tribe within the very belly of the Sacred Serpent, exclaiming:

“We have journeyed to the center of the world and landed in the belly of a serpent!” (“Journey to the Center of the Torah,” City of Luz, http://www.chazonhatorah.org, 2007)

In the Zohar, the essential book of Jewish cabalistic magic, we find another amazing Judaism doctrinal statement: “The Holy Serpent is the fountainhead, root and essence for all of God’s sacred, revelatory light…”

Read the above and ponder. Do you not see why YAHUSHA told the Jews their religion is not of Abraham and is instead based on “man-made traditions?”

The Serpent is Satan and He is Not Holy!

From the New Testament we know that the serpent is neither holy nor sacred. Instead, he is described as “that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan, which deceives the whole world” (Revelation 12:9). However, in Judaism, as in all satanic religions, truth is turned upside down. The rabbis emphasize that the serpent is a godly being, a constant help and guide for Israel and its people. Rabbi Laitman, in his Daily Kabbalah Lesson of the Zohar, stresses that:

“…This snake comes as medication…an angel sent to us…we should be grateful to the serpent for its help…the serpent has a very important mission… The Serpent is the Angel of Help.”

The deep secret of Judaism is the rabbis’ teaching that the Jewish people—also known as the House of Israel—is within the Sacred Serpent’s belly and that the Serpent is sent to the Jews to be their helpmate and guide. That is what is meant when Rabbi Moshel Rabbinu says that the religious Jew embarks on a spiritual “Journey to the Center of the Torah: The Secret in the Serpent’s Belly.” (see Joel David Bakst, 2007, http://www.chazonhatorah.org)

In Judaism’s gematria, the so-called science of numbers, we find the teaching that the one whom Christians know as Satan, the Devil, is for the Jews the divine instrument of… “sacred, revelatory light… This serpent is…the middle brain which is in the middle of the letters of the Torah.” The rabbis further insist that it is their Sacred Serpent, their deity, who is at the very center of the Torah. He is an essential being of their godhead, and he provides the serpentine energy that brings a Jew to a spiritually mature state. The religious Jew, say the rabbis, is brought to spiritual maturity—to a “Divine Consciousness”—through the help of the snake. He—that is, every Jew—lives inside the belly of the Serpent. It is his covering, protector, guide, Lord, and Messiah.

The rabbis go so far as to say that, “in messianic times and beyond, it (the Serpent) will be redeemed and revealed in all its glory and awesomeness.” (Rabbi Joel David Bakst, “Journey to the Center of the Torah: The Secret in the Serpent’s Belly,” 2007, http://www.chazonhatorah.org)

Now do you see why YAHUAH’s Word twice in the book of Revelation (Chapter 2:9 and 3:9) warns of the horror and wickedness of the “Synagogue of Satan?”

(Revelation 2:9) I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

(Revelation 3:9)…them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie…

It Is Important to Understand this Synagogue of Satan (Judaism)

Many who are unaware and undiscerning do not know why this subject so important. Frankly, it is because our ADONI and Savior, YAHUSHA HA’MASHIACH, warned the House of Yashar’el (Israel), of its “abomination” and “desolation.” He described it as the “Synagogue of Satan” (those practicing Judaism). Without flinching, He also identified these hateful and rebellious Jews as “serpents” and “vipers.”

The Jews themselves, in their devilish religion of Judaism, admit their god is the Serpent. Their leaders well know that this is the Devil, or Satan. In some type of creepy and eerie doctrinal confession, the rabbis are even discovered to be boasting of their Sacred Serpent and they say that all Jews live inside its belly! Is this not an unbelievable revelation?

Nevertheless, even the Jew can be saved. The Old Testament prophet Isaiah testified that, indeed, the nation of Israel is of the Serpent. But the prophet also spoke of YAHUAH’s mercy and willingness to save those who repent of this evil.

“Behold, YAHUAH’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither His ear heavy that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your ELOHIYM, and your sins have hid His face from you,

that He will not hear.Your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue has muttered perverseness… They hatch cockatrice’ (flying serpent) eggs, and weave the spider’s web: he that eats of their eggs dies, and that which is crushed breaks out into a viper… ”

but, the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith YAHUAH.

(Isaiah 59:1-5, 20)

NOW the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which YAHUAH ELOHIYM had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, has ELOHIYM said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, ELOHIYM has said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

For ELOHIYM knows that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as elohiym, knowing good and evil.

And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her man with her; and he did eat.

And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

And they heard the את eth-voice of YAHUAH ELOHIYM walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and the man and his woman hid themselves from the presence of YAHUAH ELOHIYM amongst the trees of the garden.

And YAHUAH ELOHIYM called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where are you?

And he said, I heard your את eth-voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.

And he said, Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded you that you should not eat?

And the man said, The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.

And YAHUAH ELOHIYM said unto the woman, What is this that you have done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

And YAHUAH ELOHIYM said unto the serpent, Because you have done this, you are cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon your belly shall you go, and dust shall you eat all the days of your life:

What Does the word ‘Vatican’ mean?

What Does the word ‘Vatican’ mean?

Does ‘Vatican’ mean ‘divining serpent”? Indeed it does and it also means A LOT more!

How are you fallen from heaven, O Heylel, son of the howling morning! how are you cut down to the ground, which did weaken the nations!

For you have said in your heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of EL: I will sit also upon the Mount of the assembly, in the sides of the north:

I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like EL ELYON.

Yet you shall be brought down to She’ol, to the sides of the pit.

YESHA’YAHU (ISAIAH) 14:12-15

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of HA’MASHIACH.

And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

What Does the word ‘Vatican’ mean?

Does ‘Vatican’ mean ‘divining serpent”? Indeed it does and it also means A LOT more!

‘Vatican’ comes from a combination of two words – (1) Vatic {vatis, vates} and (2) Can {canis, canus depending on which form you use}

VATIC

VATIC (vatis, vates) means: seer, prophet, soothsayer, diviner, divination

Soothsayer means: to act covertly, to use hidden arts ie. magic, to practice sorceries, mysteries

Diviner means: witchcraft, tell fortunes (fortuneteller), bewitch, to consult a spirit of the dead, to practice magic

Mysteries means: to practice the Mystery religion, Mithraism (worship of the god Mithras – A pagan religion consisting mainly of the cult of the ancient Indo-Iranian Sun-god Mithra)

Scriptures regarding words listed above- ‘soothsayers, diviners, those that practice divination, sorcery, witchcraft and magic –

Deuteronomy 18:9-12 “do not learn to follow the abominable ways of those nations. Let there not be found among you one who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, casts spells. Anyone who practices these is abominable to YAHUAH”

Micahyah 5:12 “I will cut off witchcrafts from your hand, and you will have no more soothsayers”

Regarding “mysteries’ and the mystery religion-

Revelation 17:5,9 “And upon her head was a name written: MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF THE HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And here is the mind which has wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits.

VATIC has other meanings which we feel compelled to tell you of: mad, madness, raging, senseless, furious, possessed

Mad/Madness means: disordered in mind, insane, utterly foolish, mentally deranged, crazy, marked by chaotic activity

Possessed means: a demon, have a demon, god, devil, supernatural spirit

CAN

CAN (canis) means: a dog, any of various carnivorous mammals of the Canidae family. This family includes: foxes, wolves, jackal(s)

Jackal means: female jackal, crocodile, a monster, wild dog, wolf, dragon, snake venom, a great serpent, serpent

Note: Jackal definitions are from the Hebrew words ‘Tanniyn, Tannah, Tanah, Tan’ (see ‘sources’ at bottom of page for all article references)

Both ‘dragon’ and ‘serpent’ have always been used in the scriptures to represent Satan.

Dragon – Revelation 20:2 “And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, who is the Devil, and Satan”

Revelation 13:4 “And they worshiped the dragon which gave power to the beast”

Serpent – Genesis 3:1 “Now the serpent was more subtle and crafty than any beast of the field”

Revelation 12:9 “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, who deceives the whole world”

Dog – Revelation 22:15 ‘ For outside are dogs, (‘Can’, ‘Tanniyn, Tannah, Tanah, Tan’) and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and worshipers of gods (elohim) and everyone who professes to love, yet practices breaking the Law.”

The Fall Feasts: YAHUAH’S MOEDIM – DIVINE APPOINTMENTS

The Fall Feasts: YAHUAH’S MOEDIM – DIVINE APPOINTMENTS

Feast of Yom Teruah (Trumpets)

The fall feasts begin with the Feast of Trumpets, also known as Yom Teruah and by the Jews as Rosh Hashanah. The name Rosh Hashanah means “head of the year” or “new year” which is an erroneous description of Yom Teruah. It is a result of the pagan influence the Jews picked up in Babylon when they began using pagan names for months. The scriptural beginning of the year is Abiv 1 and occurs in the spring.

According to Jewish tradition, Yom Teruah begins a 10 day period (days of awe) of repentance and forgiveness culminating on Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. However, scripture only specifies one day for Yom Teruah and one for Yom Kippur. There is no special scriptural significance given to the 8 days between them. This is another reason that we should not follow Jewish tradition, but to study these things for ourselves.

This memorial of shouting and trumpets begins on the first day of the 7th month. It is the only New Month festival. It is a day for a miqra qodesh (Holy convocation), a day in which no servile work is to be done.

Num 29:1 And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing the trumpets unto you.

This festival is observed by the Jews, according to their tradition, for two days because of the difficulty in ascertaining exactly when the new moon is occurring. It is the only festival that is observed for two days in (Israel). It is often referred to as the day only the Father knows. However, according to scripture Yom Teruah.

Yom Teruah is the day of the awakening blast. Teruah means to shout, clamor, a blowing of the trumpets. It will be the time when YAHUSHA will return with a shout at the last blowing of the shofar on Yom Teruah.

1Th 4:16 For YAHUSHA himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of YAHUAH: and the dead in the Messiah shall rise first:

This is when the graves will be opened and the resurrection of the just takes place. The resurrection is not just a New Testament theme; it is also found in the Tanakh (Old Testament). See Isa. 26:19; Dan 12:2 and Eze. 37:12.

The Jews admit that the Torah does not specify the purpose of Yom Teruah, only that teruah means to shout in a loud voice or in unison. Could this be the time when the Jews cry out in a loud voice “Baruch Haba Be’Shem YAHUAH” or “Blessed is he who comes in the name of YAHUAH? (Mat 23:39)

The following is another example of Jewish tradition concerning the period from Yom Teruah to Yom Kippur which is not found in Torah. This is all purely Jewish speculation and imagination.

Jewish belief is that the gates of heaven are opened on this day and will stay open for the 10 day period ending on Yom Kippur. A review is made of all mankind at this time. Three sets of books are opened and men are inscribed into one of those three books during this period. The books are the book of the righteous, the book of the wicked and the book of remembrance or memorial. The righteous are inscribed in the book of righteousness, the wicked are written into the book of the wicked and those that are in between are written into the book of remembrance. They are given another year to repent. The gates of heaven are closed on Yom Kippur and the books are closed. This is why it is a time of repentance and to right all wrongs. Jews will call upon their neighbors during this period to ensure that all is well between them. If it isn’t, it is a time to ask forgiveness and to forgive any wrongs, perceived or otherwise.

Jewish tradition also states that it was on Yom Teruah that Adam was created. They come to that conclusion by rearranging the letters of the first word in Genesis “Bereshith” to read “Alef b’ Tishri” or the first of Tishri.

—————

Yom Kippur (Atonement)

Yom Kippur is called the Day of Atonement. It is observed on the 10th day of the seventh month. Yom Kippur is a Sabbath on which no work is to be done.

Lev 23:27 Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto YAHUAH.

Lev 23:28 And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before YAHUAH your ELOHIYM.

Lev 23:29 For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.

Lev 23:30 And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.

Lev 23:31 Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

Lev 23:32 It shall be unto you a Sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your Sabbath.

Yom Kippur is the most solemn day on the Hebrew calendar. It is a time of soul searching and fasting.

Atonement is translated from the Hebrew word “kaphar” which means to “cover over”. Our sins are “covered over” by the blood of YAHUSHA. This was the time that the High Priest would go once a year into the Holy of Holies and make 3 confessions; those for his sins, for the sins of the priestly tribe of Levi and lastly, for the nation of Yisrael (Israel). The confession on this date was the only time they actually called aloud upon the set apart name of YAHUAH. This was probably different before the Babylonian captivity, but afterwards the set apart name was prohibited to even utter, except at this one time per year.

The High Priest of Yisrael (Israel) would make an offering of a bull and two goats. One of the two goats was known as the scapegoat (Azazel). It was selected by drawing lots; one lot, a white stone was marked for YAHUAH and the other, a black stone for Azazel. According to the Jews, for 200 years prior to 30 AD, the drawing was usually random. The black stone would come up as often as the white one. But after 30 AD and for 40 years prior to the destruction of the temple, the black stone for Azazel came up 40 straight times in the priests right hand.

The sins of the people were laid upon the scapegoat and it was sent off into the wilderness. Also, a scarlet ribbon was tied to a horn of the scapegoat and the other end tied to the door of the temple. It was cut when the scapegoat was sent away. When it died, the ribbon on the temple door turned white signifying that Yisrael’s (Israel’s) sins were forgiven. But after the crucifixion of YAHUSHA in 30 AD, the ribbon never again turned white.

Jewish tradition says that on the final services of Yom Kippur, it was believed that the gates of heaven were once again closed. When the great trumpet was sounded at the close of Yom Kippur, the gates were believed to be closed and the books were shut for another year. This is pure speculation on the part of the Jews as this is not found in scripture.

Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles or Booths)

This is the last commanded Feast of the year. It is a pilgrimage feast of which there are three – the Feast of Unleavened Bread, Shavuot and Sukkot. It occurs on the 15th day of the 7th month. It is also called Feast of Tabernacles or Booths. It was also known as the Feast of the Ingathering. It was during this time that YAHUSHA was born and tabernacled among us (John 1:14). This is a joyous celebration as the fall harvest is now over and it is time to enjoy the fruits of ones labors. It is a season of joy following the heaviness of Yom Kippur now realizing that our sins have been forgiven. It is a picture of the YAHUAH’S Kingdom during the millennium.

Lev 23:34 Speak unto the children of Yisrael (Israel), saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto YAHUAH.

Lev 23:35 On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.

Lev 23:36 Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto YAHUAH: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto YAHUAH: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.

During this 7 day festival, we are commanded to build and live in a Sukkah (booth). Sukkot is a time that commemorates the time of Yashar’el (Israel) in the wilderness when they lived in temporary shelters. We may have to once again live in temporary shelters before returning to the Promised Land.

Lev 23:39 Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto YAHUAH seven days: on the first day shall be a Sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a Sabbath.

Lev 23:40 And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before YAHUAH your ELOHIYM seven days.

Lev 23:41 And ye shall keep it a feast unto YAHUAH seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.

Lev 23:42 Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Yasha’e’iym (Israelites) born shall dwell in booths:

Lev 23:43 That your generations may know that I made the children of Yashar’el (Israel) to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am YAHUAH your ELOHIYM.

The first day of Sukkot is a high Sabbath in which no servile work is to be done.

The 7th and last day of Sukkot is called Hoshanah Rabbah, the great salvation. There is an additional minor festival following Hoshanah Rabbah on the 8th day which is called Shemini Atzeret or the “last great day” and is also a Sabbath in which no servile work is to be done. The Rabbis interpret from the word Atzaret, the meaning to tarry one more day. From this, the Rabbis added an additional festival after Shemini Atzaret and called it Simchat Torah (rejoicing in the Torah). They deem this also to be a Sabbath, but Simchat Torah is not an observance found in scripture. It is only from the imagination of the Rabbis. Therefore, we can ignore it.

The next Feast day established by YAHUAH to be observed is Passover, beginning the cycle all over again.

Hanukkah is not a festival we are required to celebrate.

This has been a very simplified overview of the Feasts of YAHUAH to help those who are just beginning to explore the Hebraic Aweakening of their faith. These Feasts are to be understood as rehearsals in YAHUAH’s plan of salvation for mankind. They are types and shadows of things to come for the body of Messiah (Col 2:17).

Halleluyah! All praise to YAHUAH!
