Here is a couple of tunes we’ve put together a few years back when your ole brother was in a recording mode.
Back in December I had a major brain fart and was disconnecting myself from all social sites and the internet itself. So I commenced putting all my accounts on suspended or deleted.
After much payer and those contacting me asking for their brother to return I conceded and started to restore all my social accounts.
When I brought up my YouTube Channel all 18 of my personal music videos I have put together myself the links no longer worked.
All my music videos are on my old computer and I do not have the internet connection to upload them again with the old and slower computer processor.
I’m trying to think of ways how I can get all my personal music videos back on YouTube.
They have been some to ask and that is the reason I have not been showcasing my personal music in a good long while.
I was looking around on my new computer and happened to find one of my music videos I can share with you today.
I hope you find a Shalom and Calming effect with your ruach (spirit) as you read and listen.

14 I am the Tov(Good) Shepherd, and know My sheep, and am known by My sheep. (2)
15 As the Abba knows Me, even so I know the Abba: and I lay down My chayim(Life) for the sheep.
16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring in, and they shall hear My voice; and there shall be one fold, and one Shepherd. (3)
17 Therefore does My Abba love Me, because I lay down My chayim(Life), that I might take it again. (4)
18 No man takes it from Me, but I lay it down by Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received from My Abba. (5)
19 There was a division therefore again among the Yahudim(Jews) for these sayings. (6)

Foot Notes:
(2) Ezekiel 34:11-31 is where YAHUAH Himself promises to come to earth to look for and find His lost sheep. The speech here is used to alert anyone familiar with Scripture that YAHUSHA Himself is the one who has come to look for and return Yisrael’s wandering exiles back to the fold.
(3) A plain reference to the other fold, or flock of Yisrael, Efrayim-Yisrael, that YAHUSHA says He must bring in by command of the Father. Note that even before He died and rose, He had two existing Yisraelite flocks, not one. Through His mission as the Good Shepherd, both folds will become one.
(4) The Father loves YAHUSHA, because He is faithful to His primary mission of taking two Yisraelite folds, and making them one Yisrael, knowing YAHUAH.
(5) The mission to die for both houses is called a commandment by YAHUSHA.
(6) The truth about the true purpose of YAHUSHA’s death, which is to restore and regather both houses of Yisrael, brings sharp division among the Jewish community. It seems like whenever Yahudah (Judah) hears of YAHUAH’s love for both houses as in Luke 15, it brings out the worst in them. The message of the true kingdom always brings division, and those who teach the truth will always be labeled as divisive. Yet it is that message alone that heals and ends vexation and jealousy.
Restoration Scriptures True Name Edition
John 10:14-16 – YAHUSHA is the good shepherd (Ezek. 34:12) and said “Other sheep I have which are not of this fold.” (He is speaking to the Jews referring to Ephraim Yisrael) “, them also must I bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there will be one fold and one shepherd”. (See also Ezek. 37:24 – The two sticks of Yisrael prophecy).
John 11:51-52 – Caiaphas the high priest prophesied that YAHUSHA should die for that nation (Jews) and not for that nation (tribe) only, but that “ he should gather together in one the children of YAHUAH that were scattered abroad. ”
This ought to make chills run up your spine.
49 This is speaking of Ephraim Yisrael which were scattered in 721 BCE.
Yahudah (Judah) was back in their land when this prophecy was made, so it can’t be referring to them. This also proves that the 10 tribes didn’t return during Hezekiah’s reign and during the Josiah revival as some try to allege.
Only Yahudah (Judah) returned from Babylon as a nation. There were a few from the other 10 tribes, but not on a national basis.
There was an innumerable host of Yisraelites that were still in exile according to Josephus during YAHUSHA’s ministry.
These are the lost sheep of the house of Yisrael (Matt 10:6, 15:24).
Acts 2:36, 39 – Spoken to all the house of Yisrael and in verse 39, it says “For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as YAHUAH our Elohim shall call.” Again, Ephraim is described in many verses as being “afar off.”
Acts 26:6-7 – Paul refers to the promise of YAHUAH to their fathers; unto which promise our 12 tribes……hope to come.
Again, this proves Paul was expecting the restoration of the kingdom to Yisrael in which all 12 tribes hope to come.
Paul spoke a lot about the return of the Lo-Ami (not a people). He referred to them as gentiles. If you trace the migrations of the Celts and Scythians, you’ll see that Paul went to them first, as the lost sheep of the House of Yisrael. I have already covered the Lo-Ami of Romans 9 and 10.
Rom. 10:11 – …salvation is come unto the gentiles, for to provoke the Jews to jealousy.
These gentiles are the Lo-Ami of Rom. 10:19.
Rom. 11:17-28 – This is where Paul is calling the gentiles a “wild olive tree” that are grafted into the natural olive tree. All must be grafted into the tree of Yisrael for salvation is of the Jews (the natural tree and the Messiah). This is the two stick prophecy where they are both grafted into one tree.
It is called a mystery in verse 25, that blindness in part is happened to Yisrael (Yahudah and Ephraim), until the fullness of the gentiles be come in.
This is the Melo HaGoyim of Genesis 48:19. This was spoken to Joseph by Jacob concerning Ephraim.
And so ALL Yisrael shall be saved: (v.26). Salvation will come to all 12 tribes, to the elect – those who accept YAHUSHA.
They are all grafted into the natural olive tree (YIsrael). Those Jews who reject YAHUSHA will be broken off the tree and the gentiles who reject him will not be grafted in.
All Israel is not Yisrael.
The blindness is upon both houses of Yisrael at present. Yahudah (Judah) rejects the Messiah and Ephraim rejects the Torah.
Each one needs both to be complete in one.
The Corinthians were most likely Ephraimites:
Paul admonishes them to keep the Feast in I Cor. 5:8 and also says he would not that they be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed though the sea (I Cor. 10:1-2).
Did you ever wonder that if the law is done away, why did Paul keep the Feasts and tell the Corinthians to do likewise?
The Galatians were also most likely Yisrael in Exile, in fact, the word for exile in Hebrew is “galut”(GLT).
This is the same root as the name Galatia or Galut-yah, which means “exiles of YAHUAH.”
Hebrews 8:8 – This is speaking about changes in the priesthood. The important thing I want to show here is that it is with the house of Yisrael and with the house of Yahudah. The renewed covenant is only made with the House of Yisrael and the House of Yahudah, no one else.
However, one becomes Yisrael by belief in YAHUSHA and is grafted into the Olive Tree of Yisrael.
Hebrews 12:23 – “To the general assembly and the assembly of the firstborn…”. You can interpret this two ways. You could say it is the assembly of YAHUSHA, as the firstborn from the dead, or it could refer to Yisrael.
Yisrael is called by YAHUAH, His eternal firstborn. Exo. 4:22. Ephraim is also called YAHUUAH’s firstborn in Jer. 31: 9.
James 1:1 – The Book of James is written to the 12 tribes which are scattered abroad. The real name of James is Jacob (Ya’aqov).
It was called James in honor of King James who sponsored the KJV translation.
The above, again proves the twelve tribes were scattered at the time of the writing of the book of James and had not been gathered at this time, as some claim.
Many of the Jews remained in Babylon and did not return, so were also included in those scattered abroad. Reference to these is found also in I Pet. 5:13.
We have already touched upon I Peter as being written to the northern kingdom (Yisrael) in exile.
The second epistle of John was written to the Northern Kingdom in exile as she is called the elect lady in 2 John 1:1.
And in verse 13 it says, “The children of thy elect sister greet thee. The Northern Kingdom’s sister is Yahudah (Judah). They are called sisters in Ezek. 23:4.
Rev. 7:4-8 – This is a list of those tribes in which the 144,000 are sealed of all the tribes of the children of Yisrael. I had some preacher tell me that since Ephraim is not mentioned here, he is excluded from salvation.
I told him his ignorance was showing, because this list includes the tribe of Manasseh and the tribe of Joseph.
Joseph had two sons that had tribes named for them. They were Manasseh and Ephraim. Who did he think was being referred to as the tribe of Joseph?
It can only be Ephraim since Manasseh was already mentioned.
Rev. 21:12 – The holy Jerusalem has 12 gates on which the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Yisrael are written.
Proves YAHUAH has not discarded the 10 tribes of Ephraim Ysrael.
Some teach too that the church has replaced Israel.
Is there a “church” gate named here anywhere?
There are more references to the 10 tribes in exile in the New Testament that I haven’t listed above. The apostles and early assembly understood there was to be a future reunification of the kingdom and assumed those to whom they wrote the epistles understood this also.
This basic understanding of the early assembly was such that nothing needed to be said about the Torah being eternal or swine’s flesh still being unclean and never considered to be food. They all knew it.
Peter recognized that Paul’s words were not always understood and were being twisted, to the destruction of those unstable individuals.
2 Peter 3:15 And account that the longsuffering of our Master is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; 16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
When I became aware of the Two House Restoration, my understanding of prophecy blossomed. The scriptures suddenly just opened up and became understandable.
I feel I have been blessed with this knowledge of what is to transpire and who we are in YAHUSHA and what is in our future.
I don’t believe a person can fully understand the New Testament without a good grasp of the Old Testament.
The Old Testament was all the early assembly had until letters began to be written to the various assemblies. These letters usually referred to some doctrine found in the Old Testament and explained it either as having its fulfillment in the ministry of YAHUSHA or their future applications.
Paul’s audience was mostly Jews(Yahudim) who were familiar with Torah and the prophets. They knew what Paul meant when he was talking about the law. Paul didn’t have to go into detail and explain the basic tenets of the law and what part of the law he was making reference to (Sacrificial law, moral law, etc.).
Is it possible, that mainstream Christianity has been mistaken regarding the abolishing of the law?
Undoubtedly!
After all, we see in Rev. 12:17; 14:12 and 22:14 that the Saints of YAHUAH are those who have the testimony of YAHUSHA AND keep the Commandments of YAHUAH.
They need to come back to Torah, keep the Ten Commandments (all ten of them), the Sabbaths and Feasts.
They need to dump their substitute “holy” days that were derived from pagan sources. (Xmas, Easter, Halloween, etc.).
Turn back from fables and doctrines of demons and men to the pure word of YAHUAH.
Develop a love for the truth and you will be blessed by it. Our Father will then reward you by keeping you from the strong delusion that is come upon all the earth (2 Thess. 2:10-12).
According to the filing, published June 14, Facebook would use the system with ads so that it can tell advertisers whether or not people are actually paying attention to their commercials.
Secretly telling phones to start listening and recording
First spotted by Metro, the patent would allow Facebook to hide “a non-human hearable sound” in the audio of a TV ad or other content. While humans can’t hear the sound, smartphones can, and as such, a special signal will be embedded into the sound, which will tell any smartphone that hears it – with the Facebook app installed – to start recording.
The patent states that the recording will focus on “ambient audio,” which Facebook’s patent describes as “distinct and subtle sounds of a particular location created by the environment of the location, such as machinery noise, the sound of distant human movement and speech, creaks from thermal contraction, and air conditioning and plumbing noises in a household.”
Part of what the technology will record will be the actual commercial that triggered it. The reason for this is down to what Facebook wants to use the technology for in the first place – it wants to use the system to see if people are actually paying attention to the ads that trigger them.
The theory seems to be that, should the sound from the “broadcasting device” become muffled, then it means that whoever owns the phone had moved away from the TV. Should that not happen, however, then it’s likely that they were engaged by the ad.
Using this technology, Facebook can find out what ads people are watching, so they can serve more of those ads to them. At the same time, it’ll also allow companies to get a better sense of the size of the audience that has viewed their ad.
Facebook already spies on people
It should come as no surprise that Facebook is looking to try out new technology to figure out what ads its users are being engaged by. Advertising makes up the bulk of Facebook’s business and being able to provide better target ads to people only helps their business. It also should come as no surprise then that Facebook is having phones spy on their owners. (Related: Why is Facebook spying on the AUDIO of its users?)
According to Gennie Gebhard, research director for the Electronic Frontier Foundation, Facebook already uses a myriad of other methods to spy on people through their smartphones, all in the name of its advertising business.
Gebhard mentions how Facebook can already use location services, a feature that can tell where you are and what you may have recently purchased, to profile its users.
“Maybe you’re in an airport, lingering in front of an ad, and that signals to an advertiser that you might be interested in the product,” she said. “Or you’re in a bar, watching a TV show and you get an ad for the TV show. Location services knows you’re in a bar where that show might be popular.”
The sinister part about this is how Facebook can pitch this in a way that seems better for the end-user. Whenever Facebook’s app asks for access to location services on a phone, it’ll claim that this is “to provide more relevant and personalized experiences, like helping you check-in, find local events and get better ads.”
With location services, however, the app only gets a user’s location – everything else is inferred through other data. Recording audio, on the other hand, raises more security and privacy concerns, as it has the potential of actually capturing conversations and audio that users wouldn’t want anyone else to overhear.
Should Facebook actually develop and deploy this technology, then users are going to have to be even more careful with what they say in front of their phones.

In 1918, the US Army forced the vaccination of 3,285,376 natives in the Philippines when no epidemic was brewing, only the sporadic cases of the usual mild nature. This last figure was supported by Dean W.A. Pearson of Philadelphia (Hahnemann College) who collected 26,795 cases of flu treated with homeopathy with the above result….. Dr. Herbert A. Roberts from Derby, CT, said that 30 physicians in Connecticut responded to his request for data. They reported 6,602 cases with 55 deaths, which is less than 1%. Dr. Roberts was working as a physician on a troop ship during WWI. He had 81 cases of flu on the way over to Europe. He reported, “All recovered and were landed. The Jebusites are believed to be the descendants of Jebus, a descendant of Canaan, Ham’s son. They were thought to be a warlike people and were mentioned in the Hebrew Scriptures as a nation living in the mountains. The Amazing Bible Timeline with World History places them with the other nations of Ham beginning about 2300 BC
They are one of the tribes mentioned in the Scripture that YAHUAH promised to expel from the Promised Land. One of the seven nations that YAHUAH commanded the Yisraelites to destroy completely.

The Jebusites settled and constructed Jerusalem, then called Jebus. They lost the battle against Joshua that also killed their king, Adonizedek, but managed to stay in Jebus until the invasion of King David.
In spite of the number of times that the Jebusites are mentioned in the Scripture, other evidence concerning them is limited.
Jerusalem
The Scriptural town, Jerusalem is the largest city in Yisrael and one of the most ancient Canaanite cities in the world. It is found in the Judean Mountains in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea on the north rim of the Dead Sea.
The city was known by the name Jebus before it was conquered by King David. This holy land to the three main Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) has currently extended its borders outside that of the Old City.
Jerusalem is entirely surrounded by valleys and arid riverbanks resulting in a great problem in water supply since Scriptural times. To supply water, the farmers constructed stone terraces along the valleys.
Years of war and abandonment resulted in the destruction of the forests including almond, olive, and pine trees that enclosed Jerusalem during the ancient times. Over time, this city was ruined twice, hit with plague 23 times, assaulted 52 times, and invaded 44 times.
Jebusites and Jerusalem Today
The position of Jerusalem is currently a primary part of the Israeli-Palestinian dispute. Jerusalem is not internationally identified as the capital of Israel while under the Basic Law of Israel they referred to this city as their nation’s “undivided capital”.
Despite the absence of scholastic back-up, many Palestinian Arabs believe that the Jebusites are the forefathers of the Palestinians. Why? Because this claim would help to support legally their declaration that Jerusalem and Israel belong to the Palestinians.
What does the Scripture say about the Jebusites and the city of Jerusalem?
Genesis 10:15-16.
The first time the name Jebusites appeared in Scripture as one of the descendants of Canaan.
Joshua 10:1-26.
The first time that Jerusalem was mentioned in the Scripture when its king, Adonizedek, lead the Jebusites along with the people from nearby cities to fight against Joshua; a war he eventually lost and in which he was killed.
Joshua 11:3, Numbers 13:29.
Jebusites dwell in the “hill country”.
Genesis 15:18-21.
The Jebusites are listed as one of the clans that inhabit land that is promised to Abram.
Exodus 3:6-8.
YAHUAH escued the people of Moses from the Egyptians and brought them to the “good and spacious” land abundant of “milk and honey” where the Jebusites resided along with five other tribes.
Exodus 33:2.
YAHUAH sent an angel to move out the six tribes, including the Jebusites, from the Promised Land.
Deuteronomy 7:1-2.
YAHUAH ordered the Yisraelites to completely destroy the Jebusites together with the other six mighty nations.
Judges 1:21.
The Jebusites still live in Jerusalem with the Benjamites.
Judges 1:8.
Jerusalem was captured by the people of Judah.
Joshua 15:63.
Judah failed to expel the Jebusites from Jerusalem, and they continued to live in the city with the children of Judah.
Judges 19:10, 11.
Jerusalem was also known as Jebus.
2 Samuel 5:6-10.
The Jebusites protested against King David’s arrival in Jerusalem, but David invaded Zion (Jerusalem), lived in its stronghold, and called it the City of David.
“How do you know if a person has an evil spirit or if they are biologically ill or, in the case of a Believer, walking in the flesh rather than the Spirit?”
Now, when you are referring to someone having an evil spirit I think we need to clarify what could be happening.
1. Someone could be oppressed by an evil spirit, meaning they are being attacked as in the personal testimony I shared about being attacked by a spirit of death. I was being attacked, pursued by a spirit of death. It was clear the enemy was after my life. That’s an attack, a heavy attack.
2. Then there is demon possession. When someone is controlled by an evil spirit, their behavior, their character is altered and controlled by a demon or demons.
Concerning your question, “How do you know if someone is biologically ill or walking in the flesh?”
I’m not saying that we are to be demon-focused, but we do need to be fully aware of the attacks of the enemy.
The enemy, Satan comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy (John 10:10), and his weapon of sickness steals, it kills and it destroys in every way.
Now, having said this, we need to be mature in our faith and realize that we live in a fallen world. Just because someone is sick does not mean they are demon possessed.
YAHUSHA warns us John 16:33, “I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But be of good cheer. I have overcome the world.”
We live in a fallen world. Sickness and disease entered into our world when Adam and Eve willingly fell into sin. This was a consequence of their willful disobedience.
Sickness and disease are tiny, microscopic living organisms that enter into the body and make people sick.
But according to Genesis 1:28, we have been given dominion over everything that moves, including these living creatures that we cannot see with the naked eye.
So, to repeat myself, when someone is sick it does not mean they are possessed by a demon, but they can be oppressed—pursued by a demon that attacks with sickness and disease.
But there are times when people are possessed with demons.
Here are some common behaviors to discern demon-possession:
1 Is the person violent?
2 Do they hurl insults and obscenities at others without being provoked?
3 Do you hear strange voices or sounds such as growling, hissing, or clicking with their tongues coming from them?
4 Do they flip back and forth into different personalities?
5 Do their ears flap, do they slither like a snake or display other bodily movements that are not humanly possible otherwise?
6 Is there a darkness in their eyes that was not there before?
7 Are they riveted with an unnatural fear that wasn’t there before?
8 Do they cut themselves or try to harm themselves?
9 Are they preoccupied with blood, horror movies, death or suicide?
These are some common behaviors of someone who is demon possessed.
The last part of this question is equally important.
How do we know if sickness is caused because someone is walking in the flesh rather than the Spirit?
This is a matter that the Asslembly doesn’t want to address either, but needs to.
People can be sick because of irresponsible behaviors, such as smoking which can cause cancer; indulging in a diet high in sugar can be a cause of diabetes; eating too much salt can cause high blood pressure; and the list can go on and on.
But the reason remains the same: When people are controlled by the flesh, rather than by the Spirit of YAHUAH (RUACH HA’QODESH) which exercises moderation or abstinence, it can cause sickness and disease to manifest in the human body.
But the good news is found also in John 10:10, where YAHUSHA says of Himself, “I came that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” And healing and divine health are part of the abundant life that He offers us by His redemptive blood.
Psychiatry has managed to swindle the government, con its way into our school systems, our elderly day care centers, foster care system, prisons, military and more. It has managed to set itself up as an “authority” on mental health when the results of its “healing” is anything but health. They violate the Hippocratic Oath continuously and violently and yet are somehow given a “pass” to continue to commit these crimes against humanity.
In short, psychiatry kills people, it dumbs them down; it produces drug-addled zombies. It does this in the very worst of ways. It convinces people that it alone should be turned to for the simple capitalistic reason that it can easily rake in 100’s of billions of dollars for their brand of supposed mental health and a huge portion of these billions comes out of the very tax dollars that you pay every year – insane treatments, drugs and combinations of lethal toxins are blithely handed out and people swallow this freakishness literally and figuratively.
In too many instances to be counted, psychiatry has maneuvered itself into the position where if you don’t want to take their “medicine”, they can force you to take it. Very recently yet another recent mass killing in Charleston, South Carolina – the person who did the killing is found to have been on psychiatric drugs. Yet the “reason” for this is given as “he wasn’t on the right sort of meds” or “poor guy was just a victim of his environment” or some such gibberish masquerading as reason.
Psychiatry shocks, magnetizes, drugs, implants electrodes and shoots electricity straight into our brains and says – he wasn’t responding to meds so we had to shock him so he could “live a better life” and “shocking people is part of our “toolkit”. “These brutal treatments are his only hope”. Go look at here and here for some examples of the “better lives” that psychiatry has brought about. Don’t explain psychiatry away as being “they’re just trying their best.” They are not. They are death obsessed creeps looking to wreak as much havoc on the world for the lowest of reasons – money, power and control over populations and the minds of men. All in the disguised “name of help”.
Psychiatry believes that you are an animal, that you have no soul, that you are simply a stimulus response mechanism whereby the brain cells fire off a few pulses of electricity and lo and behold a “thought” is created. How many people do you know that are on psychiatric or psychotropic drugs of one form or another for maladies that run the gambit from mild depression to hyperactivity?
It is estimated that well over seventy million Americans are on mind altering drugs (over 20% of the entire country’s population and some estimate it approaches 100 million) and the proof that these drugs are doing more damage to these individuals than any possible positive benefits mounts daily.
Where is the scientific peer reviewed proof that these drugs or psychiatric procedures are effective? Why are more of our children put on dangerous drugs at the drop of a hat by psychiatrists, drugs that clearly state a side affect of increased thoughts of suicide … and the child and teenage suicide rate in America is increasing at an alarming rate.

Children in the United States are three times more likely to be prescribed antidepressants as children in Europe are.
A shocking Government Accountability Office report discovered that approximately one-third of all foster children in the United States are on at least one psychiatric drug.

Antidepressants Cause Severe Withdrawal Symptoms: Hallucinations, Mania, and Anxiety, New Study Reveals

A concerning new study published in the journal Addictive Behavior and titled, “A systematic review into the incidence, severity and duration of antidepressant withdrawal effects: Are guidelines evidence-based?,” reveals that antidepressants are far more addictive and harmful than previously assumed, and vindicates the long time activism on this issue spearheaded by American psychiatrists like Kelly Brogan, MD and Peter Breggin, MD.
Highlights from the paper are as follows:
More than half (56%) of people who attempt to come off antidepressants experience withdrawal effects.
Nearly half (46%) of people experiencing withdrawal effects describe them as severe.
It is not uncommon for the withdrawal effects to last for several weeks or months.
Current UK and USA Guidelines underestimate the severity and duration of antidepressant withdrawal, with significant clinical implications.
This study aimed to assess the veracity of the the U.K.’s current National Institute for Health and Care Excellence and the American Psychiatric Association’s depression guidelines which state that withdrawal reactions from antidepressants are ‘self-limiting’ (i.e. typically resolving between 1 and 2 weeks).
In order to accomplish this goal the systematic review used the following methods:
“A systematic literature review was undertaken to ascertain the incidence, severity and duration of antidepressant withdrawal reactions. We identified 23 relevant studies, with diverse methodologies and sample sizes.”
The results were reported as follows:
“Withdrawal incidence rates from 14 studies ranged from 27% to 86% with a weighted average of 56%. Four large studies of severity produced a weighted average of 46% of those experiencing antidepressant withdrawal effects endorsing the most extreme severity rating on offer. Seven of the ten very diverse studies providing data on duration contradict the UK and USA withdrawal Guidelines in that they found that a significant proportion of people who experience withdrawal do so for more than two weeks, and that it is not uncommon for people to experience withdrawal for several months.”
Side effects were wide-ranging, lasting several months or longer (including permanent dysfunction), such as:
“Typical AD withdrawal reactions include increased anxiety, flu-like symptoms, insomnia, nausea, imbalance, sensory disturbances, and hyperarousal. Dizziness, electric shock-like sensations, brain zaps, diarrhoea, headaches, muscle spasms and tremors, agitation, hallucinations, confusion, malaise, sweating and irritability are also reported (Warner, Bobo, Warner, Reid, & Rachal, 2006, Healy, 2012).
Although the aforementioned symptoms are the most common physical symptoms, there is also evidence that AD withdrawal can induce mania and hypomania, (Goldstein et al., 1999; Naryan & Haddad, 2011) emotional blunting and an inability to cry, (HolguinLew & Bell, 2013) long-term or even permanent sexual dysfunction (Csoka & Shipko, 2006).”
The study concluded:
“We recommend that U.K. and U.S.A. guidelines on antidepressant withdrawal be urgently updated as they are clearly at variance with the evidence on the incidence, severity and duration of antidepressant withdrawal, and are probably leading to the widespread misdiagnosing of withdrawal, the consequent lengthening of antidepressant use, much unnecessary antidepressant prescribing and higher rates of antidepressant prescriptions overall. We also recommend that prescribers fully inform patients about the possibility of withdrawal effects.”
The researchers also noted that the rising numbers of antidepressant prescriptions used throughout the world may be fueled by the antidepressant drug withdrawal side effects themselves:
“As the lengthening duration of AD use has fuelled rising AD prescriptions over the same time period, we must understand the drivers of such lengthening use. The evidence set out suggests that lengthening use may be partly rooted in the underestimation of the incidence, severity and duration of AD withdrawal reactions, leading to many withdrawal reactions being misdiagnosed, for example, as relapse (with drugs being reinstated as a consequence) or as failure to respond to treatment (with either new drugs being tried and/or dosages increased). This issue is pressing as long-term AD use is associated with increased severe side-effects, increased risk of weight gain, the impairment of patients’ autonomy and resilience (increasing their dependence on medical help), worsening outcomes for some patients, greater relapse rates, increased mortality and the development of neurodegenerative diseases, such as dementia.”

One in six U.S. adults reported taking a psychiatric drug, such as an antidepressant or a sedative, in 2013, a new study found.
The new data comes from an analysis of the 2013 Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS), which gathered information on the cost and use of health care in the United States.
An earlier government report, from 2011, found that just over one in 10 adults reported taking prescription drugs for “problems with emotions, nerves or mental health,” the authors wrote in a research letter published today (Dec. 12) in the journal JAMA Internal Medicine.
But that report, from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, didn’t “provide information on which specific medications were more commonly used ” or on how long they were used, said authors of the new study, Thomas Moore, a senior scientist at the Pennsylvania-based nonprofit organization the Institute for Safe Medication Practices, and Dr. Donald Mattison, the chief medical officer at the Canadian consulting company Risk Sciences International.
Moore and Mattison found that nearly 17 percent of adults in the U.S. reported filling at least one prescription for a psychiatric drug in 2013.
Antidepressants were the most common type of psychiatric drug in the survey, with 12 percent of adults reporting that they filled prescriptions for these drugs, the study said. In addition, 8.3 percent of adults were prescribed drugs from a group that included sedatives, hypnotics and anti-anxiety drugs, and 1.6 percent of adults were given antipsychotics, the researchers found.
DEMOGRAPHIC DIFFERENCES
Psychiatric drug use differed among adults of different ages, sex and race, the researchers found. For example, nearly 21 percent of white adults reported taking a psychiatric drug, compared with less than 9 percent of Hispanic adults, according to the report.
Older adults also reported a higher rate of psychiatric drug use. One-quarter of adults ages 60 to 85 reported taking at least one of these drugs, compared with less than 10 percent of adults ages 18 to 39, the researchers found.
In addition, nearly twice as many women as men reported taking psychiatric drugs: 21 percent compared with 12 percent, according to the report.
POPULAR PRESCRIPTIONS
Two antidepressants topped the list for the most commonly used psychiatric drugs: sertraline hydrochloride, which goes by the brand name Zoloft, and citalopram hydrobromide, or Celexa.
Alprazolam, or Xanax, was the most common drug from the sedative, hypnotic and anti-anxiety category, the study said. This medication was the third most common psychiatric drug overall, following Zoloft and Celexa, according to the report.
Other leading drugs included Ambien, which is a hypnotic sleeping pill, and the antidepressants Prozac and Desyrel, the report said.
The researchers noted that because the survey data included information on only a single year, it was difficult to determine how long people had been prescribed different psychiatric drugs. However, more than eight in 10 adults who were taking psychiatric drugs reported long-term use, the researchers wrote.
For antidepressants, there is limited information available about how long an individual should stay on the drug, Moore and Mattison wrote. For certain drugs in the sedative, hypnotic and anxiolytic category, however, people can become dependent, the researchers noted.
To improve the safety of psychiatric drugs, Moore and Mattison suggested increasing the emphasis on prescribing these medications at the lowest effective dose and continually re-assessing the need to keep individuals on the drugs.
